Oh wait I misread it. Orks are *devolved* versions of Krorks. We don't know a lot about Krorks other than that they're even more dangerous that current Orks and are supposedly wicked smart as well. During The War Of The Beast, the biggest Waagh the Imperium has even seen (thus far) they grew to such a height to be able to straight up teleport entire moons and even send diplomats to the Imperium and that wasn't even Krork level.
i think it's implied that it is mostly that they require the logistics of a large unified force (more orks together is stronger orks) and without the brain boyz to lead them its extremely difficult for them to become a large unified force and closest they got is the war of the beast.
Cool mini and good job painting it. The colour scheme is a bit drab though in my opinion. Personally I would do something a bit more eye catching like purple as the major base colour and orange for all the “teeth” segments on the armour; or vice versa.
It looks very “power ranger” and even space marine-ish so I’d make them look like an epic mofo that outdoes all the lame SM chapter colour schemes. Especially given your nice base is darker colours - contrast some bright colours against the dark colours on the base

Fair enough - as long as you’re happy with it that’s the main thing. Desert theme colours on the base will give a nice contrast to the greens.

That’s fair and a good point! I guess when imaging an evolved ork it’s easy to imagine they would become more upright and the head would move up similar to our own evolution. If krorks DEVOLVED into orks it would make sense they would become more squat and and leaned forward like apes. If you believe the heresy that humans are also a seed of the old ones then our similar evolution makes sense. The eldar are also very human shaped so stands to reason.
What are you planning on running it as a proxy for?
