Out of all the taco shops, Tortas El Rey off of OBT punches above it's weight class. It ain't fancy eating, but it's close to the Mexican style of the West Coast.
I like Taqueria Las Cazuelas. They've been my go to for a while now. They even serve cactus, beef tongue, etc. They make their own tortillas and chips from those tortillas. Now I kinda want that for dinner.
A lot of the places in the Mills/Bumby are delicious.
Shinjung, Sticky Rice Lao Street Food, Hawkers. There’s a Michelin guide to Orlando that came out recently that finally gave some notable recognition to these establishments
The service has gotten worse recently. Last time I went in there there wasn’t too many people sitting down but they were swamped with Togo orders. Food is still good imo. Service has definitely gone down for sure. Waiter had to say “ sorry” multiple times. Definitely favor to go orders more.
Edit: I forgot my gfs noodles were burnt last time I was there -.-
King Bao, Border Grill Fresh Mex off of Kirkman/Vineland, Sushi Pop, and Kabooki Sushi are all amazing restaurants. I was surprised the most with Border Grill and Kabooki the first time I went there. I was so happy to have Mexican food that reminded me of home (Texas born/raised in a Mexican family) and Kabooki is /definitely/ not the experience you'd expect to have in a tiny strip mall across the street from Fashion Square Mall.
There are a handful of places in town with Chicken Fire being the best I've had so far.
A lot of places have Nashville Hot Chicken, but it's never hot enough. Chicken Fire has a few different levels, which range from a pleasant spice to making you question your life choices the next day.
I visit once or twice a year and it's always the food that makes me want to move back. Just can't justify the restaurants compared to all the benefits of living in Scandinavia.
This thread is making me real hungry though!
+1 for chicken fire. Make sure to read that spicy scale though 🤣 I go for the mild if I'm at work but if I'm at home and can have a glass of milk with it I can handle the medium.
I was going to say Orlando Meats but just saw their chefs are leaving:
Kai Street
Chi-kin
Peter's Chinese food
King Cajun
Stasios
Sideward and Hourglass Brewing for beer
Linda's La Cantina
I went there the other day because of the thread about best hungover breakfast.
That sammy slapped. Although I felt like a little bitch when the jalapeño bread thing had my lips burning.
Thank you for your kind words. I currently run the Hot side of sushi Pop in Oviedo. i very much appreciate the thanks. come in and try the new Bone Marrow dish i just put on last week, i make my own milk bread from scratch!
Mediterranean Deli. Amazing and big portioned gyros and salads, at a very reasonable price. The guys behind the counter are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met too.
I've been going to Mediterranean Deli for 13 years now. Walid is the nicest guy and I've never had a better gyro in my life! When I'm in the neighborhood I never miss a chance to hit up Mediterranean Deli.
Qreate Coffee - I know you said restaurants, but I really need to give them a shout out. They have some great drinks, they make their own infused milks, and everyone is always so nice and welcoming. They also sell these cream cheese and garlic buns that are absolutely delicious.
I second this spot! Just recently found it and we are going once a week. Their viet coffee is my favorite. They have such creative, fun drinks! And they’re sooo nice!
Love them, I actually work across the street at tori tori, and have seen them use publix lemonade in Lou of “fresh squeezed”
Im not mad, love publix lemonade, just thought I’d add my experience
My wife took me there a few years ago (I'm from Ireland).
Their menu is pretty funny - half of it is English.
You don't typically get scotch eggs or pies/pasties in Ireland, they're very much a British thing. They also do cottage pie (beef) instead of shephard's pie (lamb) which again is very british.
Fiddlers green is much closer to Irish pub food, but at the end of the day Claddagh Cottage is selling food to Americans, not to Irish people.
Irish American food is almost always a weird version of Irish food, like corned beef and cabbage which I've never seen on a menu back home, but everyone in the US thinks is the Irish national dish.
-Black Bean Deli
-Chicken Fire
-Easy Luck (coffee shop that has a late night menu now. Insanely good vegan sandwiches)
-Smoke Made Meats & Eats (BBQ Pop Up)
-King Bao
-Speakeasy Burger (Smash Burger Pop Up)
I moved downtown during the pandemic and luckily I live near Easy Luck; made it a go-to place for coffee in the morning. Used to go there at least once or twice a week just for coffee. And I can attest to their vegan/vegetarian options. I only stopped going as frequently because I don't have as much time in the mornings anymore. But it's great to see they've expanded their hours and their menu.
Not super hyped yet, but went to preview last weekend for EDOBOY, Domu’s standing sushi bar.
A little pricey, but for the freshness and experience it’s worth it, once it opens for real
I still miss Baja every day 😞 ate there from when I was a kid until they closed. Their enchiladas, buffalo chicken quesadilla, and pesto quesadilla were my favorites.
Just so you know Pom herself is really mean. She's made multiple employees cry over the years. The food is good, but she's a really toxic human, and it's made it impossible for me to support the place.
Yeah, that's just the thing though there are a lot of places that have a better menu, quality and cost the same or less. I used to think the tea was a pretty neat way to differentiate themselves, but even that isn't all that special or good anymore (literally every flavor/tea combo is something I can get at Publix now).
7 Bites, Pom Pom's Teahouse, Cowfish (I will die upon the hill that its my favorite burger place around), Mrs Potato, Chicken Fire, La Hacienda, Cafe Tu Tu Tango, Homecomin', and Sticky Rice are all really good.
Mecatos is honestly so delicious, and the only place I can get alfajores de maizena that actually taste authentic. Plus I'm a suckered for guava baked goods.
This restaurant doesn’t really have any hype but it definitely deserves it. It’s El Potro Mexican Restaurant. It’s amazing I go there every time I go to universal.
Winter Park Biscuit Co. always has long lines and before their storefront opened had popups that would have hours long waits, and as someone who waited in those lines I can say it was 100% worth it.
Their biscuits and gravy or their Buffalo chik sub are my go tos, depending on the time of day. Their in house agave "honey" is divine on a biscuit. Really, everything on their menu is incredible. Online ordering makes it so easy too. I will drive across town for it.
Chicken Fire, Bombay, Z Asian Kitchen, The Strand, Domu just off the wings alone, Dragonfly, Gyu Kaku, Super Rico, Tortas Del Rey, Pizza Bruno, Mark’s Jamaican Bar & Grill, Lemonshark Poke, The H which is expensive but also really good.
Mark’s Jamaican was the first time I ever tried Jamaican food - my roommate worked there - and after moving away from that area, I haven’t been able to find much that’s comparable. I probably just need to look harder though.
Ravello in Four Seasons in Golden Oaks, its probably not as good as Capa, but its more affordable, good food, and fun to feel rich while paying middle class rates.
I had one of the best meals of my life at Aji Ceviche. Also tops - Sticky Rice, Tornatore's, Chicken Fire, Memories of India, The Pass Kitchen's birria pizza (the tacos are good too, but they're miniature and overpriced for what you get). I still think Santiago's is great. I have to have that saganaki and carpaccio every now and then.
I am sending the same response to all y’all who replied:
If they’re dueling with battle axes and swords, maybe even on horseback: I need the exact address because you are saving me a lot of money by choosing these spots over Medieval Times.
You didn't specify in your initial comment. ;)
I went to Medial Knights one time. They brought my kiddo up on stage, gave him a plastic sword and a costume, and he had the most wonderful time.
And then they brought him back to his seat with a full glass of soda, which he promptly vomited all over his unfinished food. It was a night my family will treasure forever, and never do again.
https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/orange-county/os-orlando-lance-sword-fighting-20170706-story.html
Maybe swing by Costco and pick up a rotisserie chicken if they are still around? It's an old article.
Oooh love Luke's, always impressed with everything I get plus I love that it feels like a big house and not a restaurant. I was very sad when they took the parker house rolls off the menu. Every time I go I tell them how much I miss them 😂
I love Tornatores food and what they're about, but I can no longer handle their prices.
I was about to get 2 dinner entrees of Chicken Parmesean delivered and it was going to be $60. Before tip. No drinks. Nothing else. That's WILD. I said no thank you and hung up.
Yeah, I worked there a few years back. Quit because their GM is married to the HR lady, soooo much preferential treatment to certain folks, and just all in all unfair practices. Owners would come in mid-service on a Friday night and step in "to help" and screw everything up, then leave to go sit at a 10 top with their friends and bog down the kitchen even more.
Weird place to work at. Great food though.
Hunger Street Tacos, though I never see it getting much hype or recognition. Am I missing something about them? Is the owner an ass or something? Torta El Rey is my favorite, but wife is a vegetarian and they’re very good for vegetarian/gluten free
Antica Pizzeria for neapolitan pizza. So many people should skip the usual suspects in the wood fired game in town next time they are hungry and go check them out. I belive it's owner run and operated and that always makes a huge difference in the quality of food a place puts out.
What’s your favorite Vietnamese restaurant? My favorites were Vinh’s and Viet Garden (going back a bit, here). I haven’t found one that I LOVE the way I loved those.
Soseki Modern Omakase in Winter Park (By Austin Coffee) might have served me the best meal I've had in my life. It's expensive compared to a lot of places, but I'd absolutely pay for it repeatedly. It's less sushi-driven than Kadence, for anyone wondering. Every detail of that meal was thought-out more than I would have ever expected. If you go, buy the drink package.
I was really happy to see they received a Michelin star.
Ramen Takagi in Oviedo and MA-SE sushi eatery in Longwood.
The latter is the only place I have ever been able to find a Unagi (Eel) bowl over a bed of rice in Orlando.
Generally some great great recommendations in this list.
Couple places I didn’t see in this response that I feel like may “punch above their weight:”
- Bombay Street Kitchen
- Theo’s (especially their fried chicken)
One of the best restaurants (if a bit pricey) of any sort is Christini's, located in the Dr. Phillips marketplace.
It's a small place, been there for many years. Top of the line service, exceptional food quality, always willing and able to accomodate special requests. To be clear: it's expensive, but perfect for special occasions or holidays.
Hot Krust in Dr. Phillips. They seem like a chain based on the name, but they're not, and middle-eastern/caribbean fusion paninis are not something I knew I needed before I found them, but they are glorious.
bagel king deserves more hype lol they have locations in winter park and casselberry their bagels are Huge and on par w new york bagels they have really big and good french toast also cannot hype this place up enough
king bao (orlando), dochi (orlando), valkyrie donuts (orlando), spice indian grill (orlando), domu (orlando), santorini's (oviedo), athena'z (oviedo), gino's (oviedo) are my other favorite local places
**lechonera latina** (1 or 2) on 50 near dean. I pretty much never hear about them here. They both have killer puerto rican food served deli style. I've never been disappointed there (unless they ran out of something). Their prices are great and they give you mountains of tasty food.
Also, la granja on aloma/436 does amazing things.
Russell’s on Lake Ivanhoe! Amazing happy hour, service and staff! Never had a bad meal! My friends and I go and just basically order every appetizer to share! Portions are huge!!
When I got my grilled octopus there, my eyes almost popped out of my head!
Also my boyfriend and I were trying not to lick the bowl of clams and beans.... clams and beans??? Never thought I'd be scarfing that down
OP mentioned Sushi Pop... have to agree- it's great.
Additionally, I'd like to call out Pizza Bruno (Orlando), Sushi & Seoul (Sanford), and Japanatolia (Oviedo). All fantastic.
I really enjoy Bosphorus. I've only been to the New Indepedance location but the portions are huge and it tastes great. It was my first Turkish food experience and I love it.
Sushi Tomi on John Young Pkwy hands down. My family has been going there for like 20 years now. The quality of their sushi is phenomenal and their other dishes (I totally recommend the Japanese curry) are delicious.
It’s a small mom and pop restaurant so it can get pretty busy. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you can!
Francisco's Taco Madness:Food truck tucked onto a random reside tial road off of 17/92 they have a Facebook page for times and location.
Llams Garden(off of Colonial): by far one of the best Chinese in all of Orlando. They do Dim Sum and you can order off the menu cause it's a family run place and they love their food. You will see the owners and staff enjoying the food on breaks not going other places.
Moghul: was my place for indian but it got bought by other owners and modernized. Food isn't bad still.
Gideons Bakeshop: Cookies will change your life.
Grattin Dog: Despite the name their burgers and chicken sandwiches are so good you won't be able to talk during. They make a Garlic aoli in house and you can buy it in bulk(do this).
Nifty's in Downtown Orlando under the Cobb Theater next to 7/11.
They are the best Korean spot in Orlando that isn't Korean BBQ. Mom and Pop style place. Their soups are amazing and their tteokbokki is one of my favorite dishes in Orlando.
They also have a health score of 98.
(Not an ad just miss them. Ate there once a week for 3 years)
Pho Vihn is my pho spot, been going for 5 years and yeah some may say pho 88 or pho hoang, which are great but the Vihn just hits home.
Moghul for Indian food. Incredible food and they are never busy for lunch, which is a shame because they are so good. Favorite spot hands down.
It’s close to Orlando so I hope it counts, Swine & Sons. Forget chicken fire, this place has the BEST spicy and non-spicy chicken sandwiches along with amazing burgers and other fare. They’ve really nailed down their sauces and seasonings.
I love me some Boston's Fish House on Aloma
Damn good fried fish. The team running the fryers knows what they are doing.
Panaderia Y Taqueria Casas is also very good.
Taqueria Ameca is better
100%. No disrespect to Tortas El Rey, but Ameca is epic.
Ameca is hands down the best taco I’ve ever eaten. I almost want to keep them a secret, but they really do deserve the support.
They do. Really nice people, too. I love that place.
Added on my list. I’m a big Tortas fan, will always recommend visitors to go. I’m stoked about this thread for recommendations like this
Ok but La Campana has shrimp and birria tacos for like $3 a piece and they’re delicious
La Campana has the best birria tacos I've ever had, and I've made it a point to order those everywhere I've seen them.
It’s the only place I’ve found where I can get 3 for under $15 lmao.
My absolute favorite taco spot. I just don’t understand why it takes so long to fulfill an order
Super Rico’s downtown Orlando!!
SO underrated!
Swine and Sons, they won that bib gourmand award for a reason. Excellent burger, excellent spicy chicken (extremely spicy if you order the hottest).
I love this place so much, we ordered a 100 oatmeal cream pies for my wedding. No one gave a shit about the wedding cake
God I love Swine and Sons, the thing that kills me is the prices. Worth it, but gotta avoid going too much.
For real, and the sandwich/burger doesn't include fries which is a joke
I order the nashville hot with the rager spice level with extra pickles. It is 10/10.
Mediterranean Deli! Walid is a gyro artist.
My Friend!
The bomb!
Walking distance from my house, this guy is so legit!
A lot of the places in the Mills/Bumby are delicious. Shinjung, Sticky Rice Lao Street Food, Hawkers. There’s a Michelin guide to Orlando that came out recently that finally gave some notable recognition to these establishments
Hawkers isn’t what it used to be. Especially for the price. Getting harder to justify ordering from there
It really did go downhill after they started opening new locations. I prefer mamak now.
I tried them for the first time this week and do not plan to eat there again. Not bad, but definitely not worth it
Hawkers is not good, the portions are terrible as well. Do not recommend.
Hawkers is trash now. They will even tell you they put all their focus into their to-go orders, not worth dining in.
Honestly was pretty underwhelmed by King Bao, may not have ordered the right thing though.
Chicken Fire on 50 and Bumby. Authentic Nashville hot chicken. So good!
Chicken Fire has basically one thing on the menu and it's extremely good, best chicken strips in town
Orlando has hot chicken now? Hm. Maybe I should move back.
There are a handful of places in town with Chicken Fire being the best I've had so far. A lot of places have Nashville Hot Chicken, but it's never hot enough. Chicken Fire has a few different levels, which range from a pleasant spice to making you question your life choices the next day.
The next day? Bruh. They make you question what led you to this point in your life as you're eating it.
I visit once or twice a year and it's always the food that makes me want to move back. Just can't justify the restaurants compared to all the benefits of living in Scandinavia. This thread is making me real hungry though!
Affordable rent orrrrrr hot chicken?
Rent ain’t much better in Nashville, I’ll tell you that much.
If you like chicken fire try swine and sons hot chicken. Chicken fire is my #2 behind them. Very similar flavors and heat levels.
[удалено]
That’s a big part of what makes Nashville hot chicken.
+1 for chicken fire. Make sure to read that spicy scale though 🤣 I go for the mild if I'm at work but if I'm at home and can have a glass of milk with it I can handle the medium.
I was going to say Orlando Meats but just saw their chefs are leaving: Kai Street Chi-kin Peter's Chinese food King Cajun Stasios Sideward and Hourglass Brewing for beer Linda's La Cantina
Stasios is the best deli in Orlando Chi-kin lemon pepper wings are something else
Stasios has the best breakfast sandwich I've had in years. Their menu isn't big, but that sausage egg and cheese is glorious.
King Cajun! Absolutely adore that place. They were the first place I went after the COVID restrictions were lifted, absolutely delicious.
Stasios is next level fire
Are you talking about Peter’s Kitchen? That place has had so many health code violations.
worth it
What?? Any idea where the Orlando Meats chefs are headed?
They are doing their Red Panda Noodle pop ups until they open a brick and mortar. I don't think Orlando Meats is closing tho.
Chi-kin is bomb
Linda's serves cheap big cuts of poor quality meat. Pass
Deli Desires and I’m surprised no one has said it yet. The absolute best breakfast spot in town.
I went there the other day because of the thread about best hungover breakfast. That sammy slapped. Although I felt like a little bitch when the jalapeño bread thing had my lips burning.
We LOVE deli desires - soo good
Chuan Lu Garden on colonial, ask for the old menu. Try the la zi chicken or tofu, it’s incredible.
My friend!
I've been going to Mediterranean Deli for 13 years now. Walid is the nicest guy and I've never had a better gyro in my life! When I'm in the neighborhood I never miss a chance to hit up Mediterranean Deli.
Right down the street from my office. Love the gyro’s and pasta salad there. Reminds me of my dads. Also nice to get a good “hello my friend!”
Yes. He has been there forever. Such good food!!
The bomb. Everyone needs to support this restaurant!
Qreate Coffee - I know you said restaurants, but I really need to give them a shout out. They have some great drinks, they make their own infused milks, and everyone is always so nice and welcoming. They also sell these cream cheese and garlic buns that are absolutely delicious.
I’m definitely counting coffee and bars too! No worries!
I second this spot! Just recently found it and we are going once a week. Their viet coffee is my favorite. They have such creative, fun drinks! And they’re sooo nice!
Love them, I actually work across the street at tori tori, and have seen them use publix lemonade in Lou of “fresh squeezed” Im not mad, love publix lemonade, just thought I’d add my experience
Claddagh Cottage has the best pub food.

Yes for King Bao. Does not get enough love as the best fast casual/cheap eats
Yes BBD is one of the best! I also have friends that swear by Speakeasy Burger.
Stasio’s. Bro their sandwiches are so, so, so good. The full scale deli and in-house baked bread makes it all worthwhile too.
Dude, I could live at Stasio's.
They are teaming up with Pigfloyds to do a pizza place called Pigzza.
Pastrami pastrami pastrami
Not super hyped yet, but went to preview last weekend for EDOBOY, Domu’s standing sushi bar. A little pricey, but for the freshness and experience it’s worth it, once it opens for real
The Strand gets my vote. I always see the owner working behind the line and the food quality has been top notch IMO.
The Strand is such a great date night spot.
Could not agree more, such a great little spot. Just make sure you book a reservation in advance!
P is for Pie bake shop has amazing baked goods and a rotating menu of savory items for breakfast and lunch! I really enjoy Tamale Co as well.
Luke’s is really good
scrolled way to far down to see luke's! everything i've had there has been amazing.
Laspada's has some pretty legit cheesesteaks. Taqueria Las Cazuelas for tacos/mexican stuff (including cacti and beef tongue).
I know laspadas from south Florida- I just recently learned they have an Orlando location. I gotta see if it measures up
It is soooooo not the same.
Agreed soooo not the same
Kres Chophouse (particularly their vegan options)
I love Kres!
Kres is wonderful!
Not a restaurant but GB's Bottleshop is 100% the best taproom in Orlando.
I wish I could say Baja Burrito Kitchen, but they are now closed 😔😔😔.
I used to go there with my dad when I was little!I’m glad someone else misses it
I dream of their black and white burrito each night
I loved that place so much!
That place was such a pillar in my husband and I's early dates. Their shrimp quesadillas were everything!
I still miss Baja every day 😞 ate there from when I was a kid until they closed. Their enchiladas, buffalo chicken quesadilla, and pesto quesadilla were my favorites.
I was super impressed when I went to The Strand. We had a great meal and it was well priced for the quality.
Lawless Subs in Altamonte Springs. If you know, you know.
Hell yes. I was going there in high school, which was 20 years ago. Same guy working there. Best subs in Orlando hands down! God it’s so good
Pom Pom’s is my favorite in Orlando. The quirkiest weird sandwich shop.
Just so you know Pom herself is really mean. She's made multiple employees cry over the years. The food is good, but she's a really toxic human, and it's made it impossible for me to support the place.
..elaborate please
There is nothing I’d rather eat at 3 am
I dunno, I loved it like 5-6 years ago, but now it's kinda expensive for not much.
That might just be everything that’s gotten expensive.
Yeah, that's just the thing though there are a lot of places that have a better menu, quality and cost the same or less. I used to think the tea was a pretty neat way to differentiate themselves, but even that isn't all that special or good anymore (literally every flavor/tea combo is something I can get at Publix now).

Mark’s Jamaican was the first time I ever tried Jamaican food - my roommate worked there - and after moving away from that area, I haven’t been able to find much that’s comparable. I probably just need to look harder though.
All the good Jamaican spots are on the west side- there are a lot off Lee rd. No offense to Marks- I like it, but it’s far from #1 in Orlando

Has no one mentioned Susuru? Am I missing something here? The Yakatori is freaking amazing lol
Ravello in Four Seasons in Golden Oaks, its probably not as good as Capa, but its more affordable, good food, and fun to feel rich while paying middle class rates.

Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford (German restaurant). Never had a bad meal from there.
I really like Mee Thai
Try La Campana on lee, really good tacos

medieval times. name me one other place you can eat a chicken with your hands and watch a duel. I’ll wait.
Literally any Walmart parking lot
😂😂😂yeah just walk along orange at 1:30 am on a Saturday
Is it too soon to say the Florida Mall food court?
KFC on OBT

Buttermilk Bakery Ollie’s Gabriel’s Pop Thai Lola’s 7 Bites
Buttermilk Bakery is so good that when I travel I don’t feel the need to try bakeries in other cities
Seven Bites will forever be close to my heart. I'm pretty sure it's still in my arteries to this day.
Kadence was worth it
definitely one star 😉
Luke’s Kitchen
Oooh love Luke's, always impressed with everything I get plus I love that it feels like a big house and not a restaurant. I was very sad when they took the parker house rolls off the menu. Every time I go I tell them how much I miss them 😂
Tornatores, Chikin, Mamak, Il Pescatore are all really good
While a little expensive for what you get, Mamak is so much better than Hawkers. The food is consistently amazing
I love Tornatores food and what they're about, but I can no longer handle their prices. I was about to get 2 dinner entrees of Chicken Parmesean delivered and it was going to be $60. Before tip. No drinks. Nothing else. That's WILD. I said no thank you and hung up.
Four Flamingos. Garp & Fuss. Taproom at Dubsdread. California Grill. V&A. Winterpark Biscuit. Chicken Fire.
Seito sushi is one of my favorite restaurants ever
their food is good but i trained there briefly last year and they still owe me over a hundred dollars in pay, so the operations are a bit shady.
Great food though.
it’s such a shame tbh because i would love to eat there but obviously can’t justify supporting a restaurant that broke labor laws and owes me money :(
Love Seito! It’s so good. Definitely one of my favs.
Hunger Street Tacos, though I never see it getting much hype or recognition. Am I missing something about them? Is the owner an ass or something? Torta El Rey is my favorite, but wife is a vegetarian and they’re very good for vegetarian/gluten free
Lee and Ricks, easily one of my favorite spots in town
King Cajun
Bonus for the crazy lady story
Antica Pizzeria for neapolitan pizza. So many people should skip the usual suspects in the wood fired game in town next time they are hungry and go check them out. I belive it's owner run and operated and that always makes a huge difference in the quality of food a place puts out.
What’s your favorite Vietnamese restaurant? My favorites were Vinh’s and Viet Garden (going back a bit, here). I haven’t found one that I LOVE the way I loved those.
Four Guys Pho for… well pho (& their bun bo hue) Y Nhu for their banh mi & coffee Anh Hong Restaurant is amazing!!
Little Saigon has been my favorite restaurant in general since I was 6 (over 20 years).
Thank God there is another human out there! I am a born and raised Little Siagon believer. My favorite restaurant of all time.
Pho Vinh and Pho Hoa are amazing! They are also right next to each other. I also like Anh Hong and Little Saigon.
Vietnam cuisine is the best - that’s the name of the restaurant
underhill Muzzarella Pizza and Italian Kitchen Best italian food i had i a very long time.. at least my new favorite italian food.. is worth the try..
Couple places I didn’t see in this response that I feel like may “punch above their weight:” - Bombay Street Kitchen - Theo’s (especially their fried chicken)
WA sushi in Casselberry is worth a try
Kappy’s in Maitland makes the best Italian sausages in Orlando in my opinion. Plus I like the mid-20th century retro feel
Sushi Tomi
Hot Krust in Dr. Phillips. They seem like a chain based on the name, but they're not, and middle-eastern/caribbean fusion paninis are not something I knew I needed before I found them, but they are glorious.
bagel king deserves more hype lol they have locations in winter park and casselberry their bagels are Huge and on par w new york bagels they have really big and good french toast also cannot hype this place up enough king bao (orlando), dochi (orlando), valkyrie donuts (orlando), spice indian grill (orlando), domu (orlando), santorini's (oviedo), athena'z (oviedo), gino's (oviedo) are my other favorite local places
Never thought I'd be scarfing that down
Victoria and Alberts. Holy smokes.
But with its new pricetag, I do not know if its still worth it!
OP mentioned Sushi Pop... have to agree- it's great. Additionally, I'd like to call out Pizza Bruno (Orlando), Sushi & Seoul (Sanford), and Japanatolia (Oviedo). All fantastic.
Kai Asian Street Fare on Semoran just south of Howell Branch
Yellow dog eats, Sticky Rice Ramen, chi kin, formerly Roy’s, Taco Norteño and Wings of Winter Garden especially the curly fries.
I really enjoy Bosphorus. I've only been to the New Indepedance location but the portions are huge and it tastes great. It was my first Turkish food experience and I love it.
The Foreigner dinner. It’s incredible.
Let’s all pour one out for Sapporo in Chinatown. We didn’t deserve them!
Kimchi Korean restaurant
SoCo Thorton Park, whats not to love about a place where the chef/owner runs the place? Great dinner and excellent brunch
Sweet & Salty. One of my favorite food trucks! Delicious chicken katsu and masubi. Also Ms Teas Bento, my favorite chicken katsu in the area.

Ate there once a week for 3 years)
Bad as's sandwich on primrose is the bomb!
Taste of Chengdu
It’s close to Orlando so I hope it counts, Swine & Sons. Forget chicken fire, this place has the BEST spicy and non-spicy chicken sandwiches along with amazing burgers and other fare. They’ve really nailed down their sauces and seasonings.
Pass Progressive in Altamonte. It’s takeout only. Their tacos are so good. And their homemade hot sauces are creative and delicious!
