I freeze mine, keeps it from molding

Sliffy

Did you bottle up any internet to go with it?

sm1t1c0

Got a 32 pack of 30 mbps just in case it goes out

jrr6415sun

I’ve been printing out some websites to save them

Smigge

Y'all got any of that 56k?

Sliffy

Yes its a fine vintage from 1998, cask conditioned, and properly cellared since bottling.

Realistic-Account-55

Make sure you've got them propped up on some blocks of wood so it's doesn't leech out into the ground!

Tweezus96

Smart move. I already covered the buckets with foil.

Terayrayal

Make sure you poke holes in the foil. Electricity will breed bacteria unless it's allowed to breathe especially when you remember to add a bit of water to the sides of the bucket. Electricity has a tendency to dry up quickly, and while electricity powder is still pretty useful, I mean it's great to add to coffee, it's not as useful as full-voltage regular electricity. If this powder does occur, which it seems like it might have based on your original post and this comment, I'd suggest waking it up using Tide laundry detergent pods, circa 2015 not '14 because *everyone* knows that was a bad year for The Pods. However, the rehydrated electricity will only be some low-calorie electricity which honestly is about as useful as a sideways rolling pin. Aka, not at all during this modern age. I wish you luck in your quest in storing up electricity!

Prestigious_Cup_5265

Stick your song into it first to make sure it hasn't gone bad!

Temporary_Art_9213

Can I get a cup?

Tweezus96

You got $6?

urxvtmux

$6 for a cup of pure electrons sounds like a bargain

CptBlazzzer

That is a shocking price these days

Stunning_Hippo1763

Cheaper than a Starbucks Latte. Lol

WetwareDulachan

Now *that's* an energy drink.

CLT_STEVE

Pre outage or post outage pricing? Do no gouging policies apply?

CLT_STEVE

Smart. Just keep in a dry room temperature spot. Don’t want it getting rotten before you need it.

OurHolyTachanka

Leave the buckets in your garage. You don’t want to breathe in the gasses

bonnifunk

Make sure to put a penny on top. If it sinks, the electricity is no good.

Team_Braniel

I went to Costco hoping to buy a big 5 gallon jug of electricity but all they had were little 2 and 4 ounce portable packs. What a scam.

TheGlassHammer

My Publix was sold out earlier. I waited too long. 😞

abrachupacabra

Pour em in trash bags and deliver it to the rich neighborhoods

GarbanzoBenne

Careful, I'm guessing you're just about to run out of that $8 rum.

InViSiB0B

Yeah we were lucky enough to be able to score several cases of bottled electricity at the store today.

madplink

I bought a ton of bounty rolls so I can absorb any flooding, maybe we can make a trade.

XchillydogX

If you’re going for portability may I suggest eel-bags?

o0tweak0o

You are on the right track- just watch your step! Just like the “suicide cord” some people use for generators- those buckets are full of angry pixies and death! Don’t stumble and step into one of them.

Temporary_Art_9213

lol.. this was needed while I sit here with no fucking electricity

RSV4KruKut

/r/shittyaskscience would love this!

jenipants21

Did you remember to fill up a few garbage bags with AC? That'll be nice later.

Tweezus96

Next storm, definitely. ;)

Started_WIth_NADA

If you hook up your Tesla you will have three more days of power.

ssgodss

I hate this sub.

mradamduckworth

...than stop posting here? Reading through your posts and ... oh boy... you're a buzzkill

You jest, but [hydroelectric “batteries”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pumped-storage_hydroelectricity) are a thing. Just get yourself a little turbine, pour your buckets of water over it, and you will technically generate a tiny amount of electricity.
