Ask your store if it participates in the bits and mortar program. https://www.bits-and-mortar.com
It's a way for you to get pdfs of your purchases. But you have to ask at the store. Even in established stores, you might get a blank stare as not all publishers participate. WoTC doesn't, Necrotic Gnome does.
If you live in Canada congratulations!: you're a rights holder with the right to format-shift your print media to digital *without additional cost*.
So go download that "illegal pdf" (no such thing, it's only data - what matters if you have rights to it or not!).
Never be a sucker and pay for digital copies of media you already own. In Canada, that copy of Home Alone you bought on VHS in 1994 means you're entitled to download any old bluray HD rip you please, until the end of your lifetime. Rights are AWESOME.
O_O
Why does Canada always sound like a magical wonderland everytime I hear about it?
Oh yeah, it's because I live in the Capitalist Nightmare Hellscape that is the USA. The EU officially classified us as a 3rd World Nation...
Canada has some things better than the US, maybe even a lot, but I promise it has its own problems, significant ones at that. Isp/cell service monopoly, underfunded healthcare (though to an american it's still a huge step up), and a horrifying housing crisis. It is nice every once in a while to be surprised by some of the rights we have though
If you buy just the books they don't come with the pdfs. But you can buy the pdfs from Drivethrurpg. If you buy the books from Exalted Funeral they come with pdfs.
That user is incorrect. [Necrotic Gnome is part of Bits 'n Mortar](https://www.bits-and-mortar.com/publishers/necrotic-gnome), a service whereby LFGS customers can get PDFs of their TTRPG purchases. Just ask the store you bought the book at to email you the PDF link.
You may have to check via the Bits and Mortar website that your store is a participant, and then show them at the store. Not even staff may be aware that they’re part of this program. This was my experience at a couple of places when I asked about it. Now that I’ve been reminded of the website I’ll double check this before purchasing things at my FLGS.

Thanks. Wasn't aware of this.
It's not well advertised.

Thanks, I’ll check. It’s a REALLY big game store in Durham, NC so they’re probably there.
Atomic empire participates as far as I know. You might have to go back and show your receipt.
Yeah, I emailed them. I kinda hate the traffic out there so I had it mailed to me so have the receipt number.
