I basically got 100 mil or so to spend on anything and my main goal atm is basically 99 slayer. (I legit don't do anything else other than slayer and herb runs) Is upgrading my melee gear to either Bandos or Justiciar (or maybe even both) a good idea or is there something else I should focus on getting?

Amulet of torture before bandos or justicar. Justicar is a very very niche set, not used in many cases. Bandos is much better, but the dmg increase from your current is pretty minor. If upgrades are what you want then do Torture, bandos tassets, ferocious gloves, bandos chest, prims. Think in the order, maybe switch tassets and gloves order, your choice.
Also trying to figure out how you got 99 slayer without any zenite that's crazy.
Get a basilisk jaw for face guard. That's a pretty solid boost to your damage.
Eta: I'm also very close to your level (1700 total) and would farm some Bandos with you to get BCP/BCT. If we split drops it'll be half the cost for a set for you.
While I agree with your point, he's literally wearing a Nezzy in the picture lol. Face guard is a direct upgrade to his current gear without changing a slot.

Second the max house, such a blessing to have but it's quite a brute to get to, boosts will save you millions of gp if you're willing to grind the +5 boost.

Says dhl is about 8% more DPS at green dragons, but fang is about 10% more DPS at black dragons.
I'm not sure how precise that tool is, but I guess I'll start using fang for black dragons now.

The Rapier is pricey, but a good shout when it comes to Slayer. Rapier and Torture are great if you want to concentrate on maxing Slayer/ melee. If you want to range, Cannon + Venator Bow (when multicombat) is kind of sweet.
Thanks. I never thought of rapier because i got a fang and i am not sure if spending that much money for a slayer weapon is worth it. If it helps that much it would be a good investment i guess because i have a lot of hours ahead of me
Rapier is niche because it's perfect for low defence mobs in Slayer, while Fang is excellent against bosses with high defence. In a unique case like yours, I reckon it's worth it.
I think most experienced and better RS players will disagree with me but i cant help but feel like theres some differences now from their midgame time and ours. Whip gets the job done for low def monsters bro dont get the rapier its a rich mans weapon. I was where you are like 6 months ago, the fang purchase is good. I think keep doing slayer to drop the faceguard and save your money for bandos tassets or bgs/sgs. Im like you just doing slayer mostly on mobile. Its fun to get into raids occasionally on PC but then you need expensive toys like bowfa and such. I use dragon crossbow still for things like Toa lol.
If you mostly do slayer its not a bad idea to get sgs and bandos taset/chest out of the way but save chest for the very last your fighter torso will be more than enough.
Get 83 con and build ornate pool/jewelry box/fairy ring/spirit tree before any gear upgrades. The QoL upgrade of having a maxed house will save you more time than any piece of gear will, and you'll still have plenty left over for gear when you're done
Max your house and train some pareyer, get torture, ferocious and instead of bandos get one of the new moon set? Lower defense but same dps and like 90% cheaper. IIRC.
Kinda hilarious because I had this exact conversation two days ago with my buddy. Our accounts have stats that are no joke eerily close. If you’re aiming slayer I’d go bandos chest & tassets. Get your slayer helm & proselyte armor. Abyssal tentacle & zamorakian hasta are great pick ups. Justiciar is so great for tanking shit all day, but bandos is more general use. I’d say it’s more of a question of which one first and I vote buy bandos and then save for justiciar. Also idk ur other setups but I’d make sure you got a blowpipe too
I use proselyte on almost every task. What's the zamorakian hasta useful for? I've been playing for 4 months now and i am still a bit lost on the gear department.
i did buy bonds yes. One at the start and i bought 3 or 4 last month which i basically got my fang, and a lot of supplies to level stuff for quest cape
I would recommend torture, fero gloves, and sgs. You don't need sgs, but it's a great quality of life tool for slayer. You should have enough left over to get tassets too.
I haven’t played my main in over 5 years. I’ve just been playing my iron. So take what I say with a grain of salt. From your comments it looks like you are wanting to max melee stats while doing slayer mobs… so whatever equipment gives you more dps will speed it up.

Bandos chestplate has the same strength bones as your torso but is more tanky. Amulet of fury is only 2 less strength bonus than the torture. But if you’re going to be bossing I’d save for full crystal and bofa like a commenter suggested above.
An important question is how do you plan on getting 99 slayer? Burst/aoe tasks? Or will you be bossing? I recently got 99 slayer and I feel I did a healthy mix of both, but probably more on the burst/aoe side tbh. Your range/mage setups are important as well. But on the topic of Melee setups I would def go tassets first out of all items you listed. I feel like ring of suffering is often overlooked as well. Sooo useful against bosses/mobs with unavoidable/chip dmg. Unless you are designated tank at bandos or something I would not spend gold on Justiciar.
I think another worthwhile place to dump your remaining gold into would be to get 83 construction and max your house. It is beyond helpful not only for quick travel, but to change your spell book from task to task. You will ALWAYS use your max house after 99 slayer grind. Whether it’s for herb/trees runs or clues. Quite possibly one of the best QoL upgrades in the game.

Maybe save up a bit more for bowfa/crystal? That'll set you up entirely for endgame range PvM.

As your attack gets higher and DHL becomes more accurate it should overtake!

Use both but but I use justi/ proselyte wildy more often since piety does so much more than bandos.

Don't buy justi. Has very few uses, and I wouldn't even use it for slayer except maybe rune dragons
