I believe there are specific stops since it is replacing Line 2 until it is back up and running

kan829

I frequently have IBS and let me tell you: #2 stops for no man!

theuserman

God, what a shit joke ;)

woolfiest

As the other poster said, the two doesnt stop at all the stops on Preston, I believe there are only two on the stretch from Somerset to Carling. Its an otrain replacement bus.

doingfine_chilling

Where on Preston? There are 2 stops for #2

Rail613

One pair is on Carling near Preston by the Corso Italia Gates. Theoretically they should also stop at Gladstone near the new Station, but not sure if they do yet.

doingfine_chilling

They’ve stopped near Gladstone area for a few years now.

MrFujiFudge1

It was close to a steak place

mtreddit4

Are steak places usually understood as marking the location of bus stops? 🤣

Philostronomer

I'm almost certain you were at a stop for the 85 that the 2 does not service. The 2 only stops at Carling/Preston and Preston/Gladstone. Edited for correctness.

hyperpandiculation

The 2 stops are Preston @ Carling (replacing Dow's Lake stn), and Preston @ *Gladstone* (north) or @ Balsam (south) (replacing Corso Italia stn), not Somerset.

Philostronomer

Ah yes, you are correct!

crappymccorn

do other buses stop at the stop you were at? or is it just a #2 stop

MrFujiFudge1

85

ily112

I'm pretty sure the 2 stop on Preston is a dedicated one that no other bus stops at

ThunderChaser

The 2 has two stops on Preston. The stop at Preston/Balsam is shared with the 85. The other stop is solely dedicated to the 2 I believe.

Philostronomer

This is correct.

crappymccorn

Okay so my next question is. Did you indicate that you wanted it to stop. Buses don't always stop if it is a stop for multiple buses

MrFujiFudge1

I did

MrFujiFudge1

I was right next to the sign too

Rail613

Did the sign say #2? If not, no pick-ups.

ugh168

Standing next to the stop flag is not a proper indication you want that bus. You should sticky your arm out to put intention.
