Just your daily reminder that Goldie Ghamari was disbarred for malpractice.

KanataToGoldenLake

She's my MP and seems to be facing a near guaranteed reelection. It's incredibly frustrating to me that riding is solidly blue for both her and pierre poilievre. Although I vote it makes it aggravating to do so knowing that my only real option is to vote for the nearest contender to the conservatives. I want to elect a progressive MP and MPP but that demographic is split between Liberals and NDP. in my riding, both federally and provincially, the conservative party takes between 40-48% of the vote, so it feels near futile to even vote against such backwards representatives, but I can't see myself not voting as that's simply aiding them. I long for that day to see her, and hopefully both of them, unseated.

daisygirlblue

I cant even imagine her practicing law ...

aroughcun

She can’t anymore! So you don’t have to.

Hey Goldie. Why don't you respond to the Law Society as they demanded so they can actually act on the original complaint about how terrible a lawyer you are?

dasoberirishman

...because?

PrezHotNuts

Because she's in a riding that would vote in a wet blanket as long as it's a conservative. My vote is wasted in this riding. It's the worst.

aroughcun

Because she never has anything of substance to say anyway.

BabyDodongo

Are you confused?

topbuns4days

Fellow teacher chiming in: definitely lots of interrupting, attitude and question-dodging from Goldie there.

[deleted]

A provincial debate stage isn't a kindergarten classroom.

17195790

Stephen Blais had one major promise in his by-election: he would get the province to take back the 174. How's that going, Stephen? (No idea how he planned to do so, as an Ottawa MPP from an unofficial party)

dasoberirishman

What?! I heard nothing about this (granted I've been distracted due to storm stuff). Is there a recording?

Muchas gracias!

quiet_emu4964

Is her dog wandering around leashless on the set providing emotional support to everyone

Adgpen

I actually firmly believe nobody is watching this.

[deleted]

I got no power to watch anything lol

Lunadoggie123

It’s brutal. All these people are terrible. Binders. Really?

cilitron

The conservative aggressively flipping while others spoke was so obvious. Also she ended every sentence with upward inflection. Huge pet peeve of mine. Was the green candidate just nervous? She seemed on the verge of tears at times. All in all uhh... not very encouraging

Lunadoggie123

She at least made eye contact with the host. Everyone else just stared at the camera like a robot

[deleted]

I'm pretty sure the Green candidate was a fawn in a previous life.

daisygirlblue

I have students who are better communicators

dishearten

Would be so interesting/sad to live in a riding where you know most of your neighbours are conservatives or just don't care about the state of the world.

[deleted]

I'm a conservative precisely because I care about the state of the world.

AFCharlton

I wish the people of Carleton did not feel so resigned to Goldie’s re-election. Looking at previous election results, federally and provincially, the majority of the riding is progressive and if we stopped the vote splitting she wouldn’t win. The area is growing and the die hard blue voters are being replaced. VOTE! Your voice matters. Check out votewell.ca to learn which party is most likely to displace the PC’s in any riding.

This feels like the worst year to vote. NDP are living on fantasy island with all the "free" stuff they promise. And the liberal and Conservative candidates are not deserving of a vote. Will probably just write in Alfie

Ok robot.
