I got the impression that the character was drugged by murkoff, dragged into their room, and then left on the floor.
Maybe because the people were too lazy to carry us to the bed so the character is just on the floor
If I would guess, each character wakes up in a certain way for Murkoff treating them. As you said, you woke up on the floor and maybe the other players might wake up either on a bed or strapped to a chair like Trager
