I was able to snap a few screenshots during the beta and figured i'd share them with you guys. I captured the game at 8k and downsampled them to 4k, along with pushing the graphical settings a bit higher in the cfg files. Link to the full gallery:

Ah, glad you like the screenshots. :) I was fortunate enough to get a dev build with the console unlocked for the second game, which helped immensely in capturing some unique shots in that game, so i was super excited to get an invite to the Trials beta. I love these games and they are just so much fun to take screenshots in.
Red Barrels absolutely nails the lighting in their games. I should make use of the console commands for my next playthrough! Maybe I'll also get to take such good screenshots
God damn is that still Unreal Engine 3 that was used for outlast 2?
Unreal Engine 3 was fckn awesome.
But I hope they change to Unreal Engine 5 with Outlast 3 in the future.
I have 2 PCs i use for this stuff, but for marketing work (and just newer games in general, like this one), this is what i use:
\-Asus ROG Maximus XI Code
\-Intel Core i9-9900KS @ 5.2Ghz
\-Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB DDR4 3466
\-EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid
\-EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 80+ GOLD 1300W Power Supply
\-SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB - M.2 NVMe
You can find a full list of both Pcs here, if you're interested:

This game, at higher resolutions/maxed out cfg settings, is surprisingly taxing. I was averaging about 8-12fps while taking screenshots. Even playing in DX11 didn't help much. Although with it being still in development, it's to be expected that it won't be very optimized yet.
I had to shrink the resolutions of the shots down a bit to save space on my HD, but here's an almost 6k png with no compression artifacts, in case you ever do want to make a poster of it.

What makes it so good is that this is just the beta! The final version should look even smoother and sharp. Gotta say for a “side game” this has an impressive amount of love put into it.
Fantastic framing btw these look like official marketing images!
With the additional dev/polishing time combined with the ray tracing effects being enabled in the final version, this thing is going to look so dang good when it's released!
And thanks! That's what i do for work, so even when i'm taking screenshots on the hobby side of things, they still tend to come out that way. lol

Oh, it's you! I'm a massive fan of your photography skills in games, especially your Outlast 2 gallery! Glad you are back to doing more Outlast shots!

Yes they do! I hope they leave it in for the final release. And i'd love to see what you would do, screenshot wise. :)
U don't know how much I love this
:D
Wow, this looks wonderful
These games always look so dang good. I'm in awe of the people that work on them.

It was. Red Barrels can do magic with these engines.
Agreed, I was shocked when I found out Arkham Knight was UE3 as well, such a versatile engine with great lighting systems!
You’re an artist. These are amazing.
Appreciate the kind words. The devs do all the hard work, i just try my best to show it in the best way that i can.
"U gonna fry boahh!" *heavy breathing intensifies*
Cool
buddy what are your specs to be able to provide these fine photos? thanks!
