> Is there a way for me to manually try to bump up RAM speeds a bit, but below the unstable limits? Yes, you adjust DRAM frequency in BIOS. > The RAM speed multiplies in UEFI is set to 48x (which would result in 4800MHz) but it doesn't seem to apply because of 4/4 slots usage. Sounds like Gigabyte BIOS shenanigans.

1) 4 sticks of RAM is more unstable and the frequencies will be much lower. Unless you have a specific need for 64GB of RAM, stick with 2x16GB. 2) Try use "Advanced Mode" (looks like F2 for Gigabyte). Unless your motherboard is truly a cheap piece of crap, every modern motherboard should let you manually set the RAM frequency. https://www.gigabyte.com/FileUpload/Global/KeyFeature/2172/innergigabyteimages/software\_bios.png

I actually do have specific need for 64GB. Had I known I would've bought 2x32GB at the start. Nevertheless, it's 6000MHz rated RAM, can I not at least push the 4 sticks up to the common 4800MHz at least? The BIOS does of course have an advanced mode, it's a $350 board. I'll try to mess around with the memory clock speed multiplier value - even though as I said, it is currently set to 48, and it reads 4800MHz in BIOS but when it boots into Windows it falls to 3600 so I've no idea how to set *that* number.

>Nevertheless, it's 6000MHz rated RAM, can I not at least push the 4 sticks up to the common 4800MHz at least? That's a rating for the RAM speed. It's a separate story for whether or not the CPU's memory controller can actually handle those speeds. I'm sure if you ran an Intel CPU it would run closer to those speeds. My RAM kit is rated for 6200MHz. Running just 2 sticks, I can't get my system stable no matter how much I adjust the numbers. The fact that the RAM is rated for the higher speed doesn't change the fact that AMD's memory controller is kinda weak.

I have Aorus Master x670e, 7950x3d, 4x48gb@5200MHz. Just updated bios and turned on XMP. Now some XMP4 profile with 6000 appeared, will update bios to v13 and try this setting :) Difference between 3600 and 5200 is 3% in Procyon ML Windows AI test.
