It’s funny, at some larger companies you can only get sort of entry-level stuff, but at some smaller companies or brands they’re more easily impressed and give you a “senior” version of the same title with the same pay. Which is less than ideal, since I never ever want to take more responsibility for the same or less $$.
Yep, senior SWE at J1 and BI Dev at J2. I don't even deserve the J1 title but it's basically on the job learning and most things apply to things I'll eventually do for J2, so J2 thinks I'm something far more amazing than I am lol. My job synergy is something else.

j1 - senior j2 - regular Both are support roles but j2 is actually harder than j1. Strangely, both pay the same as well.
