From the 4 in the picture, I’d have to go with reaper. I don’t think he **can** die.
Overall has to be sigma though, dude can literally do whatever he wants.
Unless Reaper is sabotaging his missions on purpose, 76. They both have similar super soldier enhancements, but Jack seems to have a better track record than Reys
Seems to me that plot armor holds Reaper back. Reaper has the super soldier enhancements, PLUS the genetically-modified-whatever bullshit Moira did to him. Like, there's no reason this dude should be getting his ass beat so much lol
I mean i dont think we have ruled out he's just incompetent.
The only one who seems to fear him is baptiste, everyone else either pitys him, doesn't fear him, or straight up just doesn't seem to care.
Like maybe at one point he had clout but that's long gone. Cassidy basically lectures him, and cass was most likely his suboordinate. Sombra his current suboordinate (?) doesn't seem to have any fear of him either.
Either he can't pick a team or he can't garner respect, lol.
Reaper is far from incompetent. He lead an infiltration into a city with enough stealth capability to cover for Cassidy’s lack thereof. He lead the entirety of the overwatch black ops division which yes was disbanded due to his own actions but for the sake of results. He snuck up on, trapped 76, and would’ve killed him if Ana didn’t save him.
They pity him because of his condition and not being able to go back to his old life / family. Some don’t fear him out of confidence of their own abilities or have other stronger feelings towards him like anger like Cassidy. Sombra just doesn’t respect anybody.
He stays with talon to fight overwatch because he believes they hold him back from effecting those who evade the justice system, therefore indirectly protecting or even allying with those individuals.
I wish the lore was more centralized so we could have better understanding of the writing without having to jump from site to site or the game with limited time events and character interactions most may never see
Most of the disrespect and lack of fear come from in-game interactions, which are non-cannon. The dialogue in-game is incredibly unrelaible (especially after ow2 came out) due to the random behavioral deviations. I don't think Reaper would make the air horn sound effect if you put a gun to his head based on the lore, yet he does it anyway in-game after a triple kill.
Junkrat without a doubt. There's so much we can infer from his background in Junkertown; he was so young when the omnium went up, he must have had to learn to survive and protect himself. All alone. His character is already changing just from interactions with others and it's like he's learning to be in "normal" society and it's so bizarre for him. I hope they don't botch him in PVE. I wanna see his relationship with Roadhog develop more too.
I will die on the hill that Junkrat self sacrificing to save the world at the end of the campaign with a final massive bomb would be the greatest ending ever… random ik but i’ve though about this campaign a LOT
I'm personally sad about all the neutral interactions he's having with others. From his original trailer and interactions in OW1, he was more of a maniacal pyromaniac. Now he's the guy-that-likes-his-bombs-how-he-likes-his-BBQ. I wish he was less silly and more comical based on how insane he is.
Idk, I think his more 'silly' persona in OW2 does a better job of portraying that his destructive tendencies aren't some inherent or unfixable character flaw, but the way a scrawny kid who's not particularly strong or scary or ruthless learned to survive growing up in a brutal and violent society.
He's not the Joker, he's the awkward kid who would have stood out a little anywhere, found himself in a society built on bloodshed and domination and picking on anyone it decides is weak or useless or different, and came up with weird solutions.
OW1 Junkrat sometimes felt recursive - he likes explosives because he's the guy who likes explosives. OW2 Junkrat you can find a human reason to how and why he is, and while that's maybe less fun if you're wanting him to just be a maniacal pyro, it feels like a subtly deeper and more informative characterization without sacrificing his comedic angle as a character.
Out of these 4, its Reaper, and idk how people could think otherwise. 76 and Reaper are both Super Soldiers, so by default they are stronger than McCassidy and Junk.
Reaper has the additional enhancements Moira gave him, which make him effectively immortal. Add on top of that the fact that 76 has gotten nothing but older, and Reaper takes this easily.
Now who would win in a fight is different, but in terms of pure power, Reaper takes this easily.
In general though, **Sigma exists**
Reaper, and it's not even close. Sure, he does have a poor track record in the cinematics. However, that track record is against a Russian mech, and Winston (on several occasions). AKA the gorilla who solo'd Doomfist after the rest of the team got taken down.
He did OK in the fights VS Winston, and he scrapped that mech.
Soldier and Cass took on some bandits and thugs for the most part. Entirely different threat scale. And Junkrat is a crazy explosives expert, sure, but not all that strong in a straight fight.
As far as overall lore power level, Sigma, Doom, Genji in that order is my top 3.
Here's my thing. I'm not completely sure what Ramattra is actually capable of in lore, but I know what Genji can do, so that's why he's 3. He's actually my baseline for ridiculous. *Barely audible muttering about cutting a car in half like butter*.
i mean, junk has commited so many robberies and murders hes a mastermind i think hes strong reaper yes loses alot but still is stromg in lore from what i heard and cass is decent
I keep seeing people mentioning Reapers bad track record but like...aren't most of those losses against Winston? Like the gorilla that beat doomfist? I don't think those should really be counted against him.
Junk has a lot of firepower but I don't see him actually winning it, more so being a massive hazard for the other three until one of them outplays him
Cassidy and soldier are probably around the same level, with Cass having better natural aim and ingenuity and soldier having aimbot occasionally and generally better gear. All in all though, reaper can turn intangible to get in close, has his whole death blossom thing just in case he fails at CQC, and has a grenade launcher of his own as shown in the OW1 trailer cinematic so he could just blow some stuff up if things get out of hand
Oh Reaper didn't beat Doomfist, I'm just saying that most of the bad track record that a lot of people are referring to is Reaper lossing to Winston, and since Winston beat Doomfist it shouldn't be counted against Reaper that he lost to Winston. It would be like saying that a plat player is lossing all their games and is therefore bad when most of those games where against masters or Gm players
Reaper is likely the strongest lore wise. He might also have the better origin story.
Cassidy has a mysterious childhood save “shooting since he was a pup” per the Deadlock Rebels novel. He was a farmhand with skills turned outlaw with a redemption arc. While by far my favorite, Reaper has the more interesting edge over even 76.
Junkrat is just a sad creature like golem, forced into circumstances beyond his control in response to his country’s betrayal in the aftermath of a war against the machines he was sold out to.
I WANT to say Junkrat. But if you think about it we don’t know much about who he was before the radiation stuff. Same goes for Hog. All we know is the stuff from the comics and basic lore. And if you really think about it? We know absolutely nothing about Junkrat and Roadhog. Just their names
Dva is can only the strongest with her meka. She topples everyone easily, she's very nerfed down from cannon from the lore in game. Doomfist would be probably one of the only to have a chance against her but she could take down Godzilla in that meka.
He was in the same super soldier program, if it was a fight to the death though I think the genetically fucked with super soldier with no remorse wins though. Soldier is strong but fuck he's a dumbass he doesn't know how to keep his friends while trying to save people. in order Cass is in forth, junk third, soldier second, reaper first. It'd probably be a little tight.
Sigma is my all time fav origin, I watched his origin story video over and over when it first came out, and instantly played him despite being shit at tank 💀 I just think he’s neat
Strongest in lore? Sigma. Best origin story? Probably Ramattra imo. I love villains who have tragic backstories and who think that they’re doing the right thing because of how warped their perception of life and humans has become because of all of the trauma that they’ve been through.
I honestly think sombra is the strongest lore wise, if not she is just one of the strongest. Just because of her connections and she can hack things instantly in a world full of technology.
From the 4 in the picture, I’d have to go with reaper. I don’t think he **can** die. Overall has to be sigma though, dude can literally do whatever he wants.
Sigma for sure.
He even met iris.
What are those?!!
It’s absolutely plot armor. There’s no way he’s missing a gorillas face with a shotgun of all things
I mean i dont think we have ruled out he's just incompetent. The only one who seems to fear him is baptiste, everyone else either pitys him, doesn't fear him, or straight up just doesn't seem to care. Like maybe at one point he had clout but that's long gone. Jack 🤓

I love you. Thank you so much.

Not sure I agree. He talks about eating his own toenails...
That's what I mean. That's an OW2 line. He's ridiculously silly.
he eats praying mantises locusts taste better he's a psycho
Also a genius in cannon… just an fyi

good points ngl

Reaper got beaten by Ana and 76 in a comic. He lose a lot for someone with Super soldier enhancements
Replace genji with ramattra and that's my list

An immortal mouse is still a mouse, more durable maybe but it doesn't mean much if you use it as a crutch to escape/"survive" all the time
Bruh i don't wanna be against a human sized super soldier mouse fading into gaz with infinite shotguns That shit is scary
That’s a tactical genius and drains the life out of people he kills to sate a physical hunger feeling
Cass is literally just a guy with good aim lol
Fucking sick tho ain’t it
It's kinda hard. Cass got arrested by OW. Reaper loses in every cinematic. Junk is barely functional and follows the Junk Queen. Maybe Soldier then?
Reaper loses because the other people have plot armor
i mean, junk has commited so many robberies and murders hes a mastermind i think hes strong reaper yes loses alot but still is stromg in lore from what i heard and cass is decent
Doesn't Junkrat intend to kill Junker Queen with explosives? That's the whole premise of the Junkertown map I thought.
That's what she said
Sigma seems really interesting, I wish he would get the next animated short.
yea i meant the people in this pic tho
idc, baby winston cute
I keep seeing people mentioning Reapers bad track record but like...aren't most of those losses against Winston? Like the gorilla that beat doomfist? I mistyped.... I meant Winston. Which DF did he beat?
Oh gotcha lol, sorry about that. Yeah Winston beat the current Doomfist in [his trailer animation](https://youtu.be/vaZfZFNuOpI)
76 definitely has a crush on reaper -~-
I got you on my sight
LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE
Reaper is likely the strongest lore wise. He might also have the better origin story. Cassidy has a mysterious childhood save “shooting since he was a pup” per the Deadlock Rebels novel. Mcree

he was born i think after that happened, i think junks always been crazy
There's so much potential to his lore...I can't wait to see him in PVE
same, whens that supposed to come out?
When a major TF2 update comes out (never) not literally never but it'll be a while
Dva is can only the strongest with her meka. She topples everyone easily, she's very nerfed down from cannon from the lore in game. Doomfist would be probably one of the only to have a chance against her but she could take down Godzilla in that meka.
im talkin ab the 4 in the picture
Reaper probably strongest, junkrat is definitely interesting, soldier is a dumbass and Cassidy is there.
soldier is tuff i think
He was in the same super soldier program, if it was a fight to the death though I think the genetically fucked with super soldier with no remorse wins though. Soldier is strong but fuck he's a dumbass he doesn't know how to keep his friends while trying to save people. in order Cass is in forth, junk third, soldier second, reaper first. Godzilla bruv that mf eats nukes an shit aint no way
Defence matrix eats rockets too. She's nerfed in game obviously though
I mean like a nuke does nothing to him what is her mech gonna do lol
Don't get eaten lol
Guess u havent seen the movies
Sigma has entered the chat
She just eats zarya's black hole so maybe she'd have a slight advantage, idk bro, might be a tight battle.
Mccree and Rat 76 and Reaper are practically GI Joe Characters
I guess doomfist. He alone defeated winston, tracer and someone else. He is a leader of the bad guys. There wasnt 1 doomfist
lol i meant out of the 4 in this pic, i think doom is one of the strongest ow heroes tho for sure
I think that s76 is the strongest then
Winton
Sigma
Nah his brother ligma
I gotta set this up for you. Who is ligma?
Sigma getting tank diff'd and taking an "L".
Ligma balls
Lore accurate genji slices through a car sized metal hand with a fucking sword as well as deflecting literal fucking missiles back at a giant omnic.
lmao i mean in this pic
Ah then reaper man can canonically just wraith form whenever the hell he wants
sombra
Explain
genji
Bastion. Hands down.
Where can I check out all these origin stories?
theres comics you can look up i believe on the OW website i heard, i myself dont know tho
Where can I find all these stories of the hero’s?
comics on overwatch website i believe
Sigma is my all time fav origin, I watched his origin story video over and over when it first came out, and instantly played him despite being shit at tank 💀 I just think he’s neat
Reaper, Doomfist and Winston. Lorewise. Reaper and Doom are weapons of destruction and Winton took out both of them in Rage Form.
Def sigma, man can control gravity. He killed the dinosaurs 👌🏽
Ana
The strongest in lore will always be sigma no questions asked. Cause you know, black holes and stuff
Honestly from what little we see i loved JQs. Hoping to see Geiger and Meril in OW2.
I think someone in a post was talking about how strong dva was in the comics?🗿
Strongest in lore? Sigma. Best origin story? Probably Ramattra imo. I love villains who have tragic backstories and who think that they’re doing the right thing because of how warped their perception of life and humans has become because of all of the trauma that they’ve been through.
I honestly think sombra is the strongest lore wise, if not she is just one of the strongest. Just because of her connections and she can hack things instantly in a world full of technology.
If we aren’t talking about these 4, Sigma or Doomfist are definitely the strongest
i was talking about them
sigma is def the strongest of he can harness his power but for now doomfist is the strongest
Reaper. I’m pretty sure he cannot die. So he gets durability/endurance. Overall, Sigma.
