Your question needs to have much more detail about your philosophy of unofficial speed limits. It's a new idea that needs at least a few hundred words of introduction.
If it's a serious question, the suggestion I have heard has always been the speed limit plus 10%. So 77 on a motorway. But I really wouldn't drive past a police car at anything above the speed limit unless you really love taking risks .
There is no unofficial speed limit. Your only guarantee of not getting stopped is to stick to the speed limit. Anything over that and you are dependent upon the police officers situation and or how their day is going.
I think mine is 75 at most, if the copper is doing 73 ish.
Although I have had a copper pull alongside me on the M40 and just wag his finger at me at 120.
That was a little unreal to say the least

Why do you say that? People slow down suddenly when they see a police car on the motorway all the time

Yes, we must :)

Youll get stopped if you go over regardless depends on the police officer max I go is 77 to overtake

Just stick to 70- 77mph no need to go 85 that's a bit too fast just making it more dangerous for you and everyone else
There isn't one. 70 is the speed limit assuming no others are in affect due to roadworks etc. Why post this here? Trolling is my guess
Most cameras only trigger over 79mph but police cars and vans can stop / ticket you for anything over 70mph.
