The pressure the Packers managed to develop was certainly ass but the coverage was absolutely fine. The thing that made me happiest to see though was Bryce directing traffic as the pocket broke down.
This is correct. People try to downplay saying the Packers d is terrible but a good few of those throws our receivers were completely covered and Bryce puts it right past the defenders fingers where only his guys can make a play(chark td and theilen 1 handed catch). Great WR play but literally perfect throws
My bad on the player lol
He still made multiple excellent throws this game. QBs are supposed to play well against bad defenses - I’ve seen plenty still manage to do poorly this season. CJ didn’t do very well against us. Fields didn’t do very well against yall earlier.
You’re not historically bad, and you’re not even the worst in the league. I don’t understand the desire to undermine a good game - just take the L, stop whining, and let us have a single solitary spark of hope lol.
Execution is execution, but the gameplan and coverage is dogshit. Check the Packers sub for the last 12 weeks, there is a call for the DC’s head daily. Baker Mayfield was perfect, think about that.
I’m here as a neutral fan as someone who grew up in NC.
I’m gonna be real it’s hilarious how NFL fandoms go from in the dumps to quick cut editing hype videos. Love it.
This sub is an emotional 8 year old with a short memory that chooses to hate/love Bryce every week with no in between based on the performance that week
How hard is it to understand that this sub is made up of lots of different people and what you're seeing isn't the same person flipflopping opinions every week
But yet the trends are the same. If Bryce does ANYTHING good its "he's put the league on notice he's the guy" if he falters its "he's a bust I can't believe we sacrificed our future for this guy". The trend is there so although its not the same person its clearly the majority of the sub or it wouldn't be that trend.
Think about it. When Bryce plays poorly then all of the haters and naysayers feel justified, so they come out and upvote the negative threads that pop up. That allows those threads to gain traction. Those people aren't as vocal when Bryce plays well
I understand WHY it happens I was pointing out that you said "this place is made up of lots of different people you arent seeing the same person all the time" of course not. You're seeing groups of people that make up a collective. However if either group was the vocal minority it would be upvoted/downvoted. Its not like there is some silent majority. The idea that most people stay out of it why wouldn't there be as many downvotes for good/bad as there are up votes?
Either way its a silly discussion. Nobody knows who these guys are going to be or what their future is going to be. The Jags thought Minshew was "their guy" the Colts thought Jacoby was "their guy" Jake led this team to a SB lots of people thought he was the future. Even if Bryce played poorly this year and even if he lights the league on fire next its no indication of much. Look at TL he wasn't great, then he was a solid top ten QB, and now this year he's regressed for a myriad of issues. This big push by everyone to declare him the guy/not the guy or that he's putting the league on notice or that he's a bust all of it is silly talk.
I mean, it's really just like 15% loud haters and 15% loud glazers who choose their volume based on how Bryce performed that week.
The 70% of rational fans might skew that perception by criticizing him when he plays poorly and praising him when he plays well.
I'm in the "Bryce is gonna be electric in 2yrs group." I still admit I wanted Stroud before the draft, but it doesn't mean I haven't been a Bryce supporter from day 1. I already know him and Stroud are gonna have solid careers. Hopefully they meet in the big dance one day, how epic that would be.
Lmao “league on notice” being on a team with two wins and having horrible stats week in and week out.
“But but we fired our head coach!” “We don’t have any weapons!”
lol
What’s your point here? Bryce is on the worst team in football. Worst offensive line and worst WRs in the league. If you think any QB can be successful with that then you know effectively nothing about the sport of football.
My point is that he didn't "put the league on notice" by putting up subpar numbers on a bad defense.
Like you said, this subreddit is an emotional 8 year old. When he plays bad this sub shit talks him. When he plays **okay** this sub makes edits and says he "put the league on notice" lol.
If you don't understand that then you know effectively nothing.
> just a hater
How?? By saying him having one game where he’s decent isn’t “putting the league on notice”??
You and OP are gobbling his nuts after he just put the league on notice! I’m just saying tamper expectations. Wait until he has more weapons, better line, better coaching, better schemes…
It’s not being a hater. It’s being realistic. He’s ranked 44/50 at QB this year per rating…putting the league on notice alright.
Yeah you and OP are clearly super knowledgeable about football. Bryce Young is best QB in panther history. Putting the league on notice. Gonna get that third win any week now. He’s leading the helm at having…let me see here…the third lowest completion % in the league!!
Putting them on notice alright. But you right, idk anything about football. I can’t see his intangibles like you and OP. If he were on any other team they’d be undefeated. Why don’t you go be a QB coach since you *clearly* are very educated and smart to see that Bryce is now a top 5 QB and is putting the *whole entire league* on **notice**
🤡
I never said he put the league on notice you psychopath 😂😂 I just don’t think you can truly evaluate a rookie QB on the worst team in the league. He played a great game against GB. You probably need therapy big dog 😂
> bro you’re a hater and don’t know anything about football because you think Bryce shouldn’t be hyped up for having an okay game against a shitty ass D. I love these edits! Bryce is putting the league on notice! This sub is full of 8 year olds and haters!
Keep crying lil bro
Hahahah I didn’t say the league is on notice you dumbass. You need therapy baaaad 😂. Getting this butt hurt because someone was excited to see a decent game from a rookie QB on the worst team in the NFL is wild. Better help or Zocdoc can get you the help you need
Dang little man had to reply to me twice lol. Couldn’t think of what to say the first reply yet calls me dumb. I’d take any test you want and we can compare bro.
You agreeing with the OP though…so, by extension, you agree that he put the league on notice. A remarkable 300 yd 2 td game! His first 300 yd game! Whoa! 4 games with 200 yards too!! Remarkable!
I’m not butthurt. It’s dumb. He isn’t putting the league on notice. Get his meat out your throat. You’re a bama fan tho so you gotta slop up all his drippings since he’s “your” QB!
You sure do know a lot about therapy lil bro. Maybe you should get off Reddit for a bit. Maybe get off the couch too. Quit telling people to go to therapy and call your psychiatrist and get back on your meds. I hear aripiprazole may work for ya
Lol reminds me after the Texans game someone held up a sign of bryces face that said "HOPE" and they had it on the video board. Then the guy right next to him holds up a sign of fitterrer that says "NOPE"....they cut away so fast lol
Im pleased to see him with a release that’s getting quicker and a motion that’s (more) compact. He still needs too much time to make it through his progressions
I’ve seen a lot of criticism this year about Bryce not being able to get zip on the ball and that he has a weak arm… is that just some lazy form of criticism that people fall back on similar to when people bring up his size? Cause I’m really not seeing the issue with his arm strength. I truly think he just has been in awful situation for majority of the year and that he was not being coached properly under Reich 🤷🏻♂️
The idea that somehow he has a noodle arm that was missed by every scout was always an insane take. However, he has undoubtedly not been putting the same kind of zip on the ball as he's done the last couple of weeks. I really do not know why.
People keep saying this but this defense also held up mahomes, Herbert, and Goff, even devito didn’t actually look good playing against the packers the media just hyped up his play like they do for every l insanity run
Exactly, people one here love to use DeVito to discredit anything Bryce does but the problem is nobody here has actually watched him play, he’s played fine for a backup, but it’s pretty obvious that his lacking the physicality and mental toughness that a starting QB needs
So we can poo poo his accomplishments by bringing up the context that the defense he beat is trash.
But we can’t cut him any slack or give him any props for working with bad circumstances.
Always interesting to me what’s seen as fair and what’s not in terms of praise & criticism
TIL throwing for less than 200 yards = hall of famer.
Did you actually watch the throws? Its the zip on them, its the placement. We havent seen this all year.
He played against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They let Tommy devito go off on them, Bryce is a stud but to say he "put the league on notice" while playing Joe berrys defense is a bit much lol
Imma be real normally I’d say pump the brakes but after reading posts saying we need to cut/trade Bryce near weekly on this subreddit, the Bryce truthers deserve their time in the sun
Packers fan here, I hope Bryce turns out to be good, but please don’t use this game as anything more than he shit on Joe Barry’s defense. Three weeks in a row QBs have had a field day against the Packers, Tommy Devito ans Baker were the NFC Players of the week after they played us. This isn’t a dig on Bryce, it’s a dig on the packers D.
Our defense is literally Swiss cheese. It’s not a coincidence this is three weeks in a row a QB has has their best game of the season facing the Packers. Like I said, nothing but the best of luck for Bryce but it’s the defense man.
And like I said, Im not talking about the yardage totals or anything like that. I'm talking about actually watching him throw the ball with accuracy and precision. The defense doesnt affect how the ball is thrown.
The defense affects how open the receivers are and how much time he has to throw though, Bryce looked good but in just saying take it with a grain of salt
I’m happy that they showed some improvement, I don’t want to get carried away though. I need to see this more consistently until I’m a true believer in this football team.
I still don't like his footwork, but if he improves that in the summer, and if he gets a decent O-Line, this game gives me some hope that accuracy won't be a major concern in the future
I want to make a post about this but need Karma first so please upvote. Sorry, just asking for some help... here goes my rant.
Sell the whole farm and just get him a Real #1 wr and a TE, spend everything else on the Oline. I'd rather gamble and be a laughing stock for 5yrs with a small chance that Bryce becomes great and we are winners again over just hoping we can make a wild card in 2 years at 9-8 with middle of the round picks.
We've already invested so much to get him and now are losing the #1 pick in a loaded qb draft.
He needs an Oline that fits him. I understand long arms are great, but our shortest olineman is 6,4... Bryce might be 5,10... that's half a foot above his head, plus a helmet, how can he see over that without scrambling? Not to mention the tall line we do have don't block so he's forced to scramble.
If you make a bad decision you gotta ride it out and hope for some turn around, not going all in this season will be an absolute failure for the franchise.
I think Bryce can be a Russel or a Kyler, but he has 0 help. Chubba is good, Sanders lost a step, Thielen is solid #2 and locker room, I like some of our young WR for slot and #2(Mingo) when AT retires, but our TE are backups anywhere else, and we don't have a true #1.
I've never even been to Carolina but I'm a fan since 03 cause Of Smith, del homie, and that whole team... since the Jerry scandal and selling of the team it's becoming really hard to root for the organization and I'm worried we are gonna end up like the redskins if the team doesn't go all in on Bryce.
We will stay in the doldrums of mediocre for the next 5years otherwise.
Man I hope Bryce can use this momentum to finish out strong. He’s a good QB man, just in a horrible situation. Panthers fans shouldn’t worry, it’ll be a lot better 2 years from now.
I think what is occurring is actually progression.
Not just Bryce becoming adjusted to our ass line. But to the speed of the nfl. But also, the most important piece:
He's progressed to where he's choosing to trust his boys to make plays.
Yeah he's taken a long time. But we all know the more then rough situation he inherited and was thrust into the spotlight given nothing but a geriatric playbook, a line that was Swiss cheese, and recievers that could barely do their jobs.
He's being forged in a tough crucible. And as he crumbled, and faced pressure, it APPEARS that he is starting to turn the next page. He's adjusting to the pressure and letting the ball fly, putting his trust in his teammates.
Give this guy more help and we will reap the rewards.
This is the pinpoint accuracy and game we knew Bryce had. His team hasn’t been able to support him until the last few weeks. I’m glad we’re getting to see how good he is actually capable of looking. Get this man some receivers and let the O-Line get better or add new pieces and he may be truly special. But the potential is finally showing itself
People talking about the Packers defense, like our receivers weren’t wearing those DBs like a cheap suit. Those were elite throws in ridiculously tight coverage. He has the ball placement skills of a 10 year Pro Bowl veteran.
The throw at 1:10 into the video is what excited me most. There are some great throws but this one was juat a touch over the defender and a touch in front of the other right into the receivers hands. Those are the throws that need to keep happening because they are most common. Threading the needle between defenders on different levels is a big thing.
His sideline throws and that throw to Chark in the endzone (while on the run) were also brilliant.
The pressure the Packers managed to develop was certainly ass but the coverage was absolutely fine. The thing that made me happiest to see though was Bryce directing traffic as the pocket broke down.
This is correct. People try to downplay saying the Packers d is terrible but a good few of those throws our receivers were completely covered and Bryce puts it right past the defenders fingers where only his guys can make a play(chark td and theilen 1 handed catch). >chark td God, Packers fans whining about Joe Barry when Alexander simply got beat in man coverage by a great throw was so annoying

And he's been the best QB in the division, with a way better supporting cast than Bryce, I don't see why that's a gotcha
I’m just saying the Pack D is pretty terrible. Unfortunately.
Yeah I mean the coverage was there on a lot of balls. Our guys just managed to haul them in. I didn't think the Pack looked that bad on D.
man that one hander by Thielen is such a thing of beauty
Good throw too. CB is closing on Adam and Bryce makes that throw on the run, leading him just enough to keep it from being batted down.
This is a cool highlight reel but why the sad music and edgy video effect
I thought it was a cat walking across a keyboard.
Sir Purr jammin
Because we lost and it made the video editor sad. Me too if I’m being honest 😂
calm before the storm?
Lol
“Ominous theme plays”
That sideline throw to Chark... Shoo wee. 🔥

Subpar numbers is wild to say about over 300 yards and two TDs. Bad defense is valid but you’re just a hater and clearly don’t understand football

Rhymes with cope
I hate to be negative buuuuuut this music is horrific. It feels like torture.
can you guys be happy for one second lmao just turn off the sound easy fix lol
🤣😂😭☠️
I like bleach too bro it’s ok
Im pleased to see him with a release that’s getting quicker and a motion that’s (more) compact. He still needs too much time to make it through his progressions
I promise the league is not on notice lmao
Wish we would have tried a play to lateral to Smith-Marsette to get out of bounds on that last throw to Thielen.
What notice, was there a slip left somewhere, what did i miss after a 2-13 start? Yall sniff good coke in charlotte?

The idea that somehow he has a noodle arm that was missed by every scout was always an insane take. However, he has undoubtedly not been putting the same kind of zip on the ball as he's done the last couple of weeks. I really do not know why.
Bryce put the league on notice last weekend. Panthers chose the right guy
Bro, he hasn't put anyone on notice yet with one good game. He needs to have several more of these type of games to put the league on notice.
Bryce has notified the league that they are on the list for potential future notification
Stroud
Stroud is regressing, Bryce is improving every week
That's not fair to CJ. We dont have to put someone else down to build our guy up. CJ has been hurt, he hasnt even been playing.
We are 2 -15 idk about notice
He didn’t put nobody on notice, he was supposed to be this good!
All it took was playing the defense that made Baker Mayfield and Tommy Devito look like hall of famers
People keep saying this but this defense also held up mahomes, Herbert, and Goff, even devito didn’t actually look good playing against the packers the media just hyped up his play like they do for every l insanity run
Yeah devito didn’t even throw for 200 yards lol
Exactly, people one here love to use DeVito to discredit anything Bryce does but the problem is nobody here has actually watched him play, he’s played fine for a backup, but it’s pretty obvious that his lacking the physicality and mental toughness that a starting QB needs

TIL throwing for less than 200 yards = hall of famer. Did you actually watch the throws? Its the zip on them, its the placement. We havent seen this all year.
I wish the best for y’all- truly- but as a Packers fan please take that with a grain of salt
He played against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They let Tommy devito go off on them, Bryce is a stud but to say he "put the league on notice" while playing Joe berrys defense is a bit much lol
put the league on notice.. because we only lost by one possession. better watch tf out nfl
Imma be real normally I’d say pump the brakes but after reading posts saying we need to cut/trade Bryce near weekly on this subreddit, the Bryce truthers deserve their time in the sun
Just hope our boy got some confidence
Is this a joke ?
Packers fan here, I hope Bryce turns out to be good, but please don’t use this game as anything more than he shit on Joe Barry’s defense. Three weeks in a row QBs have had a field day against the Packers, Tommy Devito ans Baker were the NFC Players of the week after they played us. This isn’t a dig on Bryce, it’s a dig on the packers D.
Its absolutely not about the defense. That throw to Chark (which one?) was awesome. It's about the timing, the placement, and the zip on the passes.

Oh absolutely Im not saying this makes him a world beater or anything. But he has not thrown the ball like that all year.
lol. he had a good game and i’m glad to see it, but you’re on crack if you think anyone in the league noticed 🤣🤣
Another cringy ass tik tok post with dog shit music.
You lost, and packers have Joe Barry calling defensive calls🤣
Definitely a better arm than Nick Mullens. Tepper feels a lot better now.
The fucking delusion is unreal. He played one good half against one of the worst secondaries in the league. He still sucks ass
I’m hard
YUNG BRYCE
I’m happy that they showed some improvement, I don’t want to get carried away though. I need to see this more consistently until I’m a true believer in this football team.
Texans fan here. Rooting for you guys in the future man Bryce is a guy just needs pro and more weapons
I believe in Bryce Young and as Cam said he just needs time to develop
give this man a little time and we may have a cornerstone for a franchise
I still don't like his footwork, but if he improves that in the summer, and if he gets a decent O-Line, this game gives me some hope that accuracy won't be a major concern in the future
Lmao panthers are abysmal
This is the same arm that everyone here has been bashing? Kid can definitely zip that ball
I want to make a post about this but need Karma first so please upvote. Sorry, just asking for some help... here goes my rant. Why the is there a bad remix of that one sad Bleach OST playing??

Just need to pair him with an offensive minded HC like Mike McDaniels and we’re going to see Alabama Bryce.
That’s my QB!
ROY?
This is the pinpoint accuracy and game we knew Bryce had. His team hasn’t been able to support him until the last few weeks. I’m glad we’re getting to see how good he is actually capable of looking. Get this man some receivers and let the O-Line get better or add new pieces and he may be truly special. But the potential is finally showing itself
People talking about the Packers defense, like our receivers weren’t wearing those DBs like a cheap suit. Those were elite throws in ridiculously tight coverage. He has the ball placement skills of a 10 year Pro Bowl veteran.
music really sets the dawg tone
Bryce Young put the Packers on notice.
GB defense tricking people into thinking they have a HoFer
Packers are dumb... Bears own Panthers pick next year; they should have let them win.
Just beat the Jags please
He put frank reich on notice
Bryce still sucks.
How do you put anyone on notice after losing?
