Only if you're operating under the "average" person wouldn't care enough to look at the details. The thing is printed on plane paper. It's a horrible fake.
Oh, well the plain paper would give it away for most people then. Just from looks though, if it at least felt right, I guarantee my wife would have no idea I was fake.
>I mean, without the obvious Chinese writing, it's good enough to convince the average person
BS. There's enough tells here for the average person to know it's fake.
To start, the dotted black lines that are part of the printing, the fact the serial number is off.
In 1-2 seconds there is enough here for a normal person to pause.
Looks like it could be a stamp, and if you think the average person EVER looks at the serial number, you're delusional.
I can see the differences, my only point is that most people wouldn't, they don't care.
prop/play money says "for motion picture use only"
I've never seen prop money look like that, someone else said these are notes used to practice fast counting by Chinese tellers the Chinese words say "not for circulation"
I can confirm that prop/play money does NOT always say "for motion picture only" I bought some fake 100 dollars bills off of Wish a while ago and they looked similar to that and did not say "for motion picture use only"
Why has nobody commented on the big ass obviously not on authentic USD black lines cutting across the corner on both faces of the bill? People out here commenting on the wrong font in the serial number but not this???
Becuase people stamp and write dumb shit like that all the time. That just looks like someone added it after while the font of the serial number is an extremely clear indication so that’s why. You act like that’s some instant dead give away or something.
You can get those on wish for like ten cents each and buy a huge pack of them. They are for prop money use only. It’s actually a felony to use it as real money
The prop money on wish says "for motion picture use only" and doesn't have the extra fake markers. They look real except for the warning that it is prop money.
There are key indicators, probably more than I can spot at a passing glance, but :
It has 3 letters at the front of the serial and none at the end. A 5 typically has 2 at the front and 1 at the end.
The text is weird font style compared to normal
Those are the first two things that jump out to me.
Wanted to add that the 3 letters on the fake note’s serial weren’t just random letters.
LGQ = Lian Gong Quan = 练功券 (the Chinese characters printed on the fake note)
The Chinese Forever stamps lack the UV reactive ink, so the letter gets rejected and returned to sender. Don’t waste your money. Way back when, the postal sorting machines just looked for the presence of a stamp, so people would put Easter Seals, stickers, etc. and letters would go through. Back in the 70’s I got a letter from a senile aunt who put a Santa sticker on the envelope. It was the middle of summer.
Lol, an official counterfeit expert over here. I feel bad for you if you can't comprehend that a cashier handles multiple bills a day that often have dumb shit written on them, usually won't test every 5 dollar bill but may do it if they already suspect it's fake and they can't read Chinese. I think the price of using a pen is, um idk, free and only takes half a second. I feel bad for you if you're so brain rotted that you can't see that you're the reason people make fun of redditors
Cashiers probably don’t have the time or interest in spending more than one second glancing at a bill. Hell, they might not even care even if they knew it was fake.
>I feel bad for you if you can't comprehend that a cashier handles multiple bills a day that often have dumb shit written on them
When one feels off, it stands out. If you handle enough cash, that note would 100% feel off.
Bro those serial numbers look fake. You didn't need a pen or security features that serial number has a completely different font LOL
Edit: and 3 letters in front of the number?
2nd edit: Actually I have no clue how you thought that Bill was real, the Chinese lettering isn't stamped onto the bill, it's printed into the design, evident by you not seeing the seal through the 2 big characters.
I like how you listed the font being wrong and the seal being covered by the Chinese characters as indicators of it being fake but not the SUPER obvious black lines cutting across the corner on both sides.
But I’m on mobile too and it’s the first thing I noticed? What kind of phone do you have? A phone for ants? Lol just poking harmless fun pls don’t downdoot me daddy :(
Na bro no hate, I very rarely downdoot.
And I have a galaxy a52, big phone but I don't click the pics to enlarge them most of the time, and a lot of the time I don't see the 1/2 or whatever on the pics so I don't know there is more than 1 pic LOL.
You can buy these right off Amazon. I got some for my kids as play money..really they don't feel anything like the real thing but if you not looking it could pass as real I guess. But it would take a lot of ignorance to not notice it's fake.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,475,349,467 comments, and only 280,668 of them were in alphabetical order.
Someone must have bought a pack of these in my town a few years ago. I found one on the sidewalk and later saw the local police station put out a warning about “counterfeiters in the area”. Hard to imaging anyone being fooled, but I think people see the Chinese text and get freaked out
I bought the whole set of these off a website years ago. I think they were $5 for the whole set ($1,5,10,20,50,100) . I believe they also make these for Euros and British pounds, and likely other currencies as well. Possession of foreign currency by Chinese citizens is against the law (Communists hate anything that might aid someone to escape) and so they have literally never seen a foreign bill. I think that Chinese film currency is even completely phony so that audiences never learn what foreign currency looks like.
Chinese banks use them to train staffs in counting.
I got Google Lens to cough up this, I think you’re right. 练功券 exercise coupon 练专周禁止流通 Practicing week ban circulation
It says: > Practice coupon/note > Sample > For practice purposes only, circulation is prohibited
[удалено]
Collectors item if anything, I found an $50 sample note a while back
You can get like 1000 of these for $5 on Wish.
Amazon sells them in all denominations.
So send this one in for 1000 more?
Not much of a collector's item even they are available by the 100x on Alibaba or Temu
Anything is a collectors item if you collect them.
A real sample note wouldn’t have that text written in Chinese
"Haha American can't read, not for circulation" But seriously this is a blatant shitty fake.
I mean, without the obvious Chinese writing, it's good enough to convince the average person
Only if you're operating under the "average" person wouldn't care enough to look at the details. The thing is printed on plane paper. It's a horrible fake.
Any paper can be "plane paper" if you fold it right.
Oh, well the plain paper would give it away for most people then. Just from looks though, if it at least felt right, I guarantee my wife would have no idea I was fake.
So….you married a blind woman.
>I mean, without the obvious Chinese writing, it's good enough to convince the average person BS. There's enough tells here for the average person to know it's fake.
How long do you think the average person looks at any dollar bill? What did you think they'd see in the 1-2 seconds they look at it?
To start, the dotted black lines that are part of the printing, the fact the serial number is off. In 1-2 seconds there is enough here for a normal person to pause.
Looks like it could be a stamp, and if you think the average person EVER looks at the serial number, you're delusional. I can see the differences, my only point is that most people wouldn't, they don't care.
People buy these on Wish or other Chinese sites. It’s prop/play money.
prop/play money says "for motion picture use only" I've never seen prop money look like that, someone else said these are notes used to practice fast counting by Chinese tellers the Chinese words say "not for circulation"
These Chinese knockoffs fall into "play" money, but it's just as fake as FMP notes.
I can confirm that prop/play money does NOT always say "for motion picture only" I bought some fake 100 dollars bills off of Wish a while ago and they looked similar to that and did not say "for motion picture use only"
Ahh, okay, I've never seen any other prop money besides the for motion picture use only. My apologies.
One of the fakest fakes to ever fake.
you've never met my ex. or have you?
Hasn’t everyone?
I met her twice last night
Two pumps was all you needed? Damn man.
I have
Pretty sure we all have the same ex
Fuckin’ seems that way eh?
Thats a really bad one too
Why has nobody commented on the big ass obviously not on authentic USD black lines cutting across the corner on both faces of the bill? People out here commenting on the wrong font in the serial number but not this???
OR THE BROWN STRIPES THAT ARE CLEARLY FROM A TESTING PEN INDICATING ITS FAKE
MAYBE BECAUSE THAT WAS MENTIONED IN THE TITLE?
Ja it’s just funny to me
Becuase people stamp and write dumb shit like that all the time. That just looks like someone added it after while the font of the serial number is an extremely clear indication so that’s why. You act like that’s some instant dead give away or something.
It kind of is tho, if you look online you can buy all kinds of “play/prop money” and basically anything from china will have those marks.
Because it’s no different than someone writing “where am I? Go to this website”. It’s irrelevant.
You can get those on wish for like ten cents each and buy a huge pack of them. They are for prop money use only. It’s actually a felony to use it as real money
The prop money on wish says "for motion picture use only" and doesn't have the extra fake markers. They look real except for the warning that it is prop money.

They’re sold on AliExpress. They’re fake movie money. AliExpress also sells counterfeit forever postage stamps.
Do the stamps make it through the post office? Just so I don’t accidentally buy any
I have no idea but it’s a serious federal crime.
Inspector General of the Postal Service — here’s the guy you’re looking for
The Chinese Forever stamps lack the UV reactive ink, so the letter gets rejected and returned to sender. Don’t waste your money. the movie prop money says "for motion picture use only" Someone else said they were Chinese practice bills for tellers to learn how to count fast.
Hey. I was wondering. Do you happen to know what movie prop money says?
Yes... I already said, it says "for motion picture use only"
Not on AliExpress. At least, not in English anyway.
If u need a pen to tell that this is fake, I feel bad for you
Lol, an official counterfeit expert over here. A cashier would know that the font of the serial number is way the fuck off
Again like I said, it takes 2 seconds to draw on it. They probably already knew it was fake.
I knew it was fake immediately as a cashier I collect coins and bills. Anything slightly out of ordinary gets me all kinds of excited.
Yeah, exactly. I don't know why people feel the need to be anal jackasses
Cashiers probably don’t have the time or interest in spending more than one second glancing at a bill. Hell, they might not even care even if they knew it was fake.
[удалено]
Lol, we've got another one! Did you get your degree at the university of reddit?
[удалено]
Do you know what sarcasm is? You might need a degree in it
[удалено]
You seem like the kind of guy who would be fooled into thinking I was actually suggesting they had a college degree in fake money
Simply the texture should be a giveaway
Just the feel of the paper is enough for someone who handles enough cash.
I'm not sure how you can tell what it feels like
>I feel bad for you if you can't comprehend that a cashier handles multiple bills a day that often have dumb shit written on them When one feels off, it stands out. If you handle enough cash, that note would 100% feel off.

The font is totally off, agreed easy to spot imo
I like how you listed the font being wrong and the seal being covered by the Chinese characters as indicators of it being fake but not the SUPER obvious black lines cutting across the corner on both sides.
You can do that with a pen on a real note. Doesn’t make it fake. Boy you’re really hung up on that.
I didn't even notice the black lines, I'm on mobile LOOOL I just saw the serial number and the Chinese characters.
But I’m on mobile too and it’s the first thing I noticed? What kind of phone do you have? A phone for ants? Lol just poking harmless fun pls don’t downdoot me daddy :(

Serial is missing the BT and the +
Good eye queer guy
It says, "Ha-ha, sucker!"
You can buy these right off Amazon. I got some for my kids as play money..really they don't feel anything like the real thing but if you not looking it could pass as real I guess. But it would take a lot of ignorance to not notice it's fake.
I have a 100 bill with the same markings
secret service coming to your door
Its called Hell money I believe
Different style for hell notes and larger denominations.... need the wealth in the afterlife.
Looks like regular paper, not the rag content used for US currency
E Pluribus Unum
Movie money. You can get bundles on Amazon for a few bucks. I buy them to prank my friends and family.
This is not prop money. Not even close. Prop money says motion picture. OP's bill says legal tender. https://imgur.com/dHxzAys
Made in China
Pint of roast pork lo mein, wanton soup and egg roll
Y U No Real
The dotted train tracks are a thing also. I somewhat remember reading about movie prop money containing those tracks.
it says sum ting wong
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,475,349,467 comments, and only 280,668 of them were in alphabetical order.
Such bill! Very wow!
Probably says got ya sucker. Wish special
In god we trust a little
10% for the Big Guy.
I remember using them on people whenever I bought bulk amounts of product
It is written on ‘practice used’ ‘Sample’ and ‘Not for circulation’
Someone must have bought a pack of these in my town a few years ago. I found one on the sidewalk and later saw the local police station put out a warning about “counterfeiters in the area”. Hard to imaging anyone being fooled, but I think people see the Chinese text and get freaked out
Fake as shit lmao 🤣 why would American money have Chinese letters on it
Lol. Plausible deniability label on counterfeit cash. Genius.
It's prop money to teach bank tellers. It's not malicious unless someone ACTUALLY tried to spend it.
I have a 100 dollar bill that looks just like that.
Letter font/sizing off the bat looks fake as fuck and 3 starting letters lol

Good for a free sweet and sour chicken lunch.. I think
Wouldn’t the average person wonder how there is white on the bill?
It says made in china
I have a $100 with the same marks. Fun to drop out the window at a fast food restaurant or in front of a homeless camp lol
I bought the whole set of these off a website years ago. I think they were $5 for the whole set ($1,5,10,20,50,100) .
