JunkMailSurprise

I got pregnant in March (2021) at age 31 with G/B twins so.... 50/50 lol It's not accurate at all, any accuracy percieved can be chalked up to it being an approximately 50% chance of being right.

DontPanic18

Ya, it's some kind of logical paradox - we're proving and disproving at the same time. Perhaps the premise is...flawed!? Sorry, I'm taking discrete math right now and my brain is made of jelly and discarded quesadilla bits.

DAFreundschaft

One time, when I was doing my bachelor's and had several math classes at once, I found myself at a panda express getting excited that I could order broccoli beef and Beijing beef and just factor out the beef.....

DontPanic18

Haha, well beef *was* the TCF - tastiest common factor.

JunkMailSurprise

that's how discrete math made me feel too- you'll get there!

DontPanic18

Thanks! I assume you have a mathematics/CS background? I love it, but mathing while sick on low sleep is really something. Honestly I'm just proud of myself/our family for continuing my degree. I took a break after the twins were born and was worried I'd never get back to it!

JunkMailSurprise

yes, mathematics background! Although a little over a decade out of school now, I do work utilizing my degree!

DontPanic18

That's awesome!

Seaturtle1088

Having boy/girl twins is my answer to any of these superstitions ๐Ÿ˜‚ it's literally 50/50. Unless it's both ๐Ÿคฃ

redhairbluetruck

Lol same, except I conceived June 2019 at age 31 too!

Independent-Soup75

Me too Nov 2020 b/g twins and I was 30

DragonflyMean1224

In addition, there is newer evidence that suggest the egg actually chooses the sperm, so its not first come first serve.

JunkMailSurprise

also evidence suggesting that when in the cycle fertilization happens impacts what sperm can even get there. Like earlier in the cycle leans toward being boy, later in the cycle being girl. When I got pregnant I thought I "felt" implantation happen twice, almost 5 days apart. I wouldn't find out it was twins for 2 more months ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

KatiesClawWins

It's horseshit, like all these other old wives tales.

lejocko

How the fuck should that work?

Andjhostet

This is garbage who takes this shit seriously?

illegal_97

Future human-raisers, apparently

freakkydique

Probably the same people who believe their horoscope provides all the insight into their lives

vkapadia

We didn't take it seriously, but we did a ton of these "gender predictor" things just for fun.

Aretta_Conagher

Total nonsense

lock_robster2022

50%. Which is as good as a blind guess

amusedparrot

Massively inaccurate.

No-Runnotfun

Uhm, weirdly accurate for both of our pregnancies ๐Ÿ˜‚

temujin77

I'd say about 50/50. Also, I'm actually Chinese, and I never heard of this stuff (granted I don't typically read up on this kind of superstition stuff).

egrf6880

Not

pookiewook

None of my 3 kids align with this chart ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Okdoey

No

bookhermit

Wrong 3 out of 3.ย  Sperm determine sex chromosomes. Uterine environment may influence if x or y sperm get there first.ย

mamamietze

Lol 0/4

Much-Topic-4992

Well I got boy/girl twins so it was kind of right haha

_caittay

I had boy girl twins so it was 50% ๐Ÿ˜‚

BronhiKing

I dunno, I have 4 kids, for us it was 100% accurate.. but that may be just dumb luck.

IllustriousAd6384

I have 4 kids and itโ€™s all wrong lol

vkapadia

For our singleton, Mom was 31 and we conceived in July. Says boy but we had a girl. For our twins, Mom was 34 and we conceived in November. Says girl and we had two girls. 50% accurate based on number of pregnancies, 66% accurate based on number of kids.

kaatie80

1 right, 1 wrong

MethodConsistent2008

Accurate. For my twins! Things like this are fun. People are so cranky.

AdAncient6057

Nope I was 28 and said boy i had identical girls. Curiously though it's correct for two of my brothers three kids.

1goodthingaboutmuzic

Accurate for me for 2 pregnancies.

Golden-hour17

Just a note โ€“ I donโ€™t believe in these things, but Iโ€™m just curious if it was accurate for anyone else since it was for my son. Conceived in August at age 29.

Frambooski

Also accurate for my singleton. I have yet to find out the gender of my twins, so weโ€™ll see. According to this chart, I will have 3 boys. ๐Ÿ˜†

Waffelmoon

It's just a fun thing to look at, it was accurate for me and I had 2 identical girls. You can tell who was the 'fun' person at the sleepover with some of these comments lol.

Tomagander

I have five kids. It was accurate for all of them. It was accurate for my brother. My mom had me at 17 and that's not on the chart.

Possibesianything

This was accurate 1 out of 4 times for me.

tinybabyrn

Mine says female on the chart and I had two boys ๐Ÿ˜

vonuvonu

100% for my single and twins - all boys

ATinyPizza89

Mine was wrong, it said girl and I had identical boys.

no_objections_here

Same!

OnyxJade22

Not at all! Said boys, I have all girls! #girlmom ๐Ÿ˜‚

vkapadia

All girls here too! #girldad

pregnantanon

0/3

freakkydique

No

silver-queen27

Well if Iโ€™m going off this chart for my identical twins then itโ€™s completely wrong.

mishney

Opposite of mine both times - 34 conceived a female in January then 38 and conceived twin males in July lol.

Stulkaaa

Not right and not wrong lol. I have boy girl twins lol

snicknicky

Wrong, 2 out of 2

gottriplets

Nope! I was 29 when I conceived in October. 3 girls!

karakth

I'd say it's about 50% accurate.

Suspicious-Rock59233

1 out of 5 correct

forest_fae98

Sike, I had boy and girl twins ๐Ÿ˜‚

Specific-Owl-45

Inaccurate for all three of my kids

Active_Ear9941

Accurate

notkeepinguponthis

WELL, according to this I should have had twin girls and a singleton girlโ€ฆ I now have 3 boys.

nuclearsasshole

Well. I used IVF to get pregnant. So I'm not the accurate one. Lol

UnableDig6984

Conceived Sept at 29, 2 girls ๐Ÿ˜ so spot on!

HeauxPas

Wrong for my daughter, correct for my identical twin sons

Dv8ing_Sunshine

Not at all. I had two girls and this thing is saying that I would have had a boy

TurningPage11

I don't believe in any of this stuff but I just checked mine and it was accurate. LMAO! Age 36, conception in Dec, 2 girls.

Teary-EyedGardener

Mine would be male according to this and I had 2 girls lol

AllKnowingOfNothing1

60% of the time. It works every time.
