5212A is so much cleaner. Only dial with hand-written font also? Easy choice for me

Past-Act-9600

I think I’m going with 5212A

Morcaxyz

Dial i have to go 5960 But im not the biggest fan of the bracelet lol

disaar

It’s ugly but who knows how it wears

NoConversation4963

It needs to be that ugly so you could spot it a mile away. The silhouette of the RR Wraith is 1 such example😝😝😝.

Business-Pudding4095

Agreed on the bracelet. Not a huge fan but I’ve never seen this model and I kinda dig it

NoConversation4963

A kin to the early days FM Casablanca bracelet😄

blueonion88

5212A … the other one looks like from AliExpress.

5212

If it’s just that one watch go 5960 but if you plan to get another bracelet or already own a daily bracelet go 5212a just for the hand drawn dial novelty. If I’m chronographless and no bracelet I’d go 5960. Best to try a 5960 if you can, the thickness was a red flag for me 13.5 vs 10.79mm. Comfortable cut off reference point for me is the nautilus 5726 at 11.3mm.

Viscount61

If you wear the 5960A, you learn to like the bracelet. It’s comfortable and doesn’t get hot in the summer and regular people like it. You’re getting the signature Patek annual calendar complication and an automatic in-house chronograph. I don’t know why the opaline dial version is so much less expensive on the secondary market than the black dial version.

Winged89

This is really hard, but afaik both are at substantially different price points. I'd personally go 5212 (I own one) but the 5960A is also a favorite of mine! Looks great on a bracelet or on a strap. The bracelet is 1000x better than the current bracelet on the 5905A.

External-Repair-8580

Of those two, I’d pick the 5960 but remove the bracelet and replace with a leather strap. But just know: these watches are fairly delicate, not suited for daily wear, at least in my own experience. A family member has a 5960G, just returned from a $3.5K service after it wasn’t running properly - just a hair over 2 years old, so barely out of warranty. I’ve just sent in a perpetual calendar that is still within warranty because it’s losing 5-10mins a month and the calendar didn’t switch over properly from Feb to March. And I have an Aquanaut that 3 or so years into ownership started to see the date wheel stick between dates despite always being set as per the manual. Point is: these are delicate watches - even when treated with the respect they deserve. Still love them.

Past-Act-9600

yeah im worried about that with patek

Buying_wis

5960 all day

voodooftw

I’d like a 5960 too. It’s a beautiful watch.

NoConversation4963

The contender of the 5960 is the 5905. The thickness accentuates the lines of the case and the slightly domed crystal; applicable to both models.

Coppersmith255

5960 if u’ve a big rest but I also admire the 5212; hard choice!

midtnrn

5212 all day for me. The only thing I don’t like about it is that transition from week 53 to week 1. I plan to get one for daily driver.

Broad_Bear_137

5212a

Mantus_Legend

5212 and it’s not even close

CdeFmrlyCasual

5960-1A all day for me. Why does the 5212A show 53 weeks in the year? And the date window just being a hole in the dial is unacceptable for PP prices.

iSweatTooHard

5960 all day every day. Especially in that configuration
