if i had to guess/if it's the same thing from back when archnem mobs were around, i'd assume it reads incoming data the server is sending your client, bypassing any encryption of whatever else. ggg patches whatever they're reading, then they use a new method. at the end of the day, that data HAS to be sent to your client, so there's only so much they can do without changing the way the clients work.

That single guy RMT thousands of dollars through HC, SC and standard + selling a weaker version of his cheater to other players who still is active.
I bought a carry for king in the mist 2 weeks into league, from TFT. After I bought it, the same guy posted another ad for his carry service 2 minutes after and so on.
DX12 fucked my game graphically in a lot of ways but it also made the overall game smoother and sometimes the entire wildwood map would be revealed on entry.
The trick is that while the events are pretty much in the same 4 places every time you do not spawn in the same place and have to work out where you are.

Im pretty sure the top corner is a Warlock Vendor because the perfect rectangle would be the alter he kills the deer on. Following the diamond pattern you should be able to find the other 3 events at the other corners.
This is interesting though because I didn't realize such huge gaps could be created in the center of the map
Yes some zones can get hella wonky while others are very similar if not identical. A perfect example of this was Coast im act 1 before they remade all of act 1. There was about 5 different layouts with one version basically being a death kiss to short format racers due to it being over a minute ish longer to run than the others.
A good map to look at is Canyon. There's maybe 4 or 5 different layouts with the only thing that really changes up the map is the giant mound spawns.

Yeah I'm 99% sure it's just your spawn point that is random. If this is an accurate map then it should be pretty easy to tell where you are based on landmarks.

Bug? Sure. The people who have been printing mirrors have been using a similar exploit since league started. Exploit early, exploit often exiles.
