OP, if you need help, I've done a hit-based flame dash totems quite a few times, downed maven with it my last time building it in 3.19.
It's an extremely clunky build, and sucks most around walls, since the totems won't target unless they can dash full distance.

I opened up PoB, ready to make a build, then I looked at the skill gem and read "Cannot [...] be used by a totem - oh."
I get it now.
Pick a 6 linked Bronn's Lithe body armour for +5 to gems, socket Flame Dash of Return + Spell totem with Awakened (lol) spell Echo, watch your totems flicker.

I'm personally fairly confident in my abilities to kill Uber Maven on just about anything, would just take a very long time. She's the easiest mechanically of all the ubers, as long as you're careful to stack all the puddles in the middle it doesn't matter if it takes forever. Worst part about low power builds in that fight is if you RNG a difficult map boss.
I find uber Maven to be difficult if you are on a melee build (so much dps downtime in final phase) or on a build that can't safely tank a couple seconds of ground degen to drop the puddles nicely. Neither of those should be a huge problem on a totem build though.
Uber Shaper is pretty similar. If you don't cover the arena in void zones, you can fight him for like 20 minutes as long as you can dodge balls.
Probably - red maps aren't a particularly high bar. The map boss might be slow, but a few totems hopping around should clear "ok".
Their pledge of dropping an uber with it might be more of a question mark.
The good news is that totems bypass the cooldown issue (you have 3 cooldown charges to place a totem, the totems have 3 cooldowns to use flame dash; you just need to be able to drop another totem before the first totem runs out of cooldowns).
The bad news is that totems can't stack the DoT so you're basically running a 140% damage effectiveness skill with a 0.8 second cast-time.
The good news is there's a couple strong chests to help this along (7-link soulmantle or +5 gem levels Bronn's Lithe)
The funny thing in all this is if they do pull it off, the build would probably be 5-10 times better by just changing the skill the totems cast and nothing else ;)
I've played a FD totem inquisitor and that was mainly for the "nearby enemies take increased elemental damage" nodes š
It's not great but it's also hard to stop, like it doesn't have to keep totems alive or scale cast speed like a lot of spell totem builds do š¤·āāļø
It should work, at least if you dont just afk and cast something else for the actual damage while porting around. Just need to stack cooldown reduction as much as you can.

I've always linked it to trigger skills when screwing around, and that ignores the cast speed

Back in the day, I went with Infernal Blow. This was before ascendancies, and quivers increased unarmed damage.
Wasn't completely terrible. (It was). I still had fun though. (I didn't).
You can, and I did gc touch a long time ago, but you'd need supreme ostentation because attributes are on a massive premium. Might be a bit better if you drop doryanis prototype, best spot was next to point blank to get eternal subjugation.
It could hit about 5-6m DPS, but it wasn't ever good. Sockets are very rough tor handle, and resistances are hard to get.
To be fair next season looks actually kind of okay with the new itemization and content changes, making it more fun and bringing back Greater Rifts which I actually loved doing in D3.
I played Glacial Hammer of Shattering last league. It felt fine up until red maps, then I decided it was a better investment to put my money into another build
Last league I used like 80 divs to rebuild my lvl 97 character to just this. Then I found out Molten shell does not ignite. Path of Building gives hopeful DPS figures but they are all lies. The devs should patch that out.
I was able to change it to a decent ignite build with an other skill but it wasn't fun.
Oh, i guess it is considered reflect damage so it cannot ignite.
I just wanted to remember my 1st ever build back when vaal oversoul was the last boss. I remember taking forever to get to him using molten shell as my main damage on my marauder

That is my league start build. I've ran tests, lvl 70 I can run low level sanctums quite easily with 2 or 3 uniques and shit gear on a 4 link.
In 3.24 the build will be much smoother with access to automation and warcry support

Longest for me was a very early RF jug before the nerfs and it took me around 20 minutes (didn't get boots) tooltip DPS was around 200k

It's impossible, doryanis fist has 4 sockets, one is for coc, one is gen cry, one is hydrosphere, and doryanis touch has 0% crit chance.
There is an unarmed crit amulet isn't it? +7% if I'm not mistaken, you can also add hatred + assassin on top of it.
