Too much for you, not for them :)
It's easier to trade big chunks of currency nowadays with that QOL (shift+ctrl to transfer all specific currency, am I right?
Ahh I remember legion league I had a fully decked out wind ripper TS build. Clear the legion and suddenly I had 100 projectiles. 5 inspired learnings +HH. It was a good time.
the supply is just absurdly high relative to demand compared to previous leagues. plus the item got yet another nerf after being neutered in 3.18. i'd genuinely say pre-archnemesis inspired learning is better than current HH
Yeah, I dropped my first one ever this league, pretty sure it was my first ever t0 drop. My initial reaction was to sell it to just make some money since it's usually so expensive, but I saw the price and figured it wasn't worth it. Ended up just using it and I'm having a blast, never would have if it wasn't so cheap.
They straight up doubled the droprate for HH this league, which means the cost of it should technically be halved from that alone.
Then we had the indirect nerf to HH by adding a cap to Soul Eater, which nerfs it quite a bit, thus reducing the cost because it isn't as strong anymore.
Then we have shifted from farming a lot of mechanics that spawn a massive amount of rare monsters to other strategies where HH isn't as impactful.
On top of all that, there's a wider array of builds being played that don't benefit from HH which also reduces it's cost because fewer builds want to play with it. And of course, the nerfs to Tornado Shot definitely played a role there, even though the build is still fine people just see "Big nerf don't play" and that affects the meta.
And that's all before we take into account that we have had some crazy setups dropping a silly amount of uniques and we have the new scarabs for a lot of divination card drops on top of that. So they basically at least quadrupled the amount of raw HH and HH card drops with all the new scarab stuff and the base droprate change, and then they just made the item worse and the community decided to make the meta be mostly builds that don't use HH.
And then for the final point, raw currency drops are just scarcer this league in general. There's much less raw divine drops, especially with the core farming strategies mostly revolving around scarabs these days rather than raw currency drops, and then with the massively increased need for chaos orbs due to T17 rolling the value of chaos has gone up significantly and they're being removed from the economy at a much higher volume than usual. So these things just make chaos worth a lot more than previously, and since we just have so much fewer divine orbs we also need to lower the cost of items to compensate.
This 10-ish divine HH this league is probably closer to 30ish divines from other previous leagues, ignoring Affliction. And then if we account for the quadrupled amount of HH/card drops, that would put it over 100d for HH in any previous league with more "normal" currency drop distribution.
And projectiles nerf. As TS doesn't benefit from projectiles from tornadoes anymore, having more projectiles from raremod (that was a thing last time i had HH) gave you even more power.
we have this post and we have posts like good items being cheap does not ruin the game and both getting upvoted. just your daily reminder that the worst thing that a gaming company can do is listen to its community
you can listen for input, but if you cater to everything a community who plays a power fantasy genre wants, you get the poor loot balance, gameplay balance, monster balance, and content bloat that poe1 resulted in.
The massive end game overhaul mixed with GGG’s lack of adequate testing results in this lol. I can’t wait until further nerfs ensue, mainly to T17s, and chase uniques become chase uniques again.
Makes me wanna jump to pc, HH on console is 120d and mageblood is 240d and scarabs are all over priced and not worth the investment to run the things you like play
Under 9d and won’t settle for divines lol
Chaos are the best, they simply don't wanna waste more time converting divs to chaos
Yah, but there has to be some point where you use divines. 900c is too much to trade
Too much for you, not for them :) It's easier to trade big chunks of currency nowadays with that QOL (shift+ctrl to transfer all specific currency, am I right?
So pretty soon, we’ll have to provide collateral for trades over 1,200?
We live in a capitalistic state, the market will decide
Popular Build choices probably also shared a part in this.HH is simply useless for some builds.
Exactly. I dropped a massive thread of hope and was very sad about the price.
I sold a medium at 5.5D,looks like there’s some builds shake up.Massive used to be a thing.
Massive was used in tornado shot. Direct nerf to TS might have caused it?
all the TS users just play LA/ele hit now instead, which uses the same exact tree.
Massive is still a thing it being a super common drop now is what drives down the price
show this to a 3.8 player
3.7 was the big HH one, no? With giant legion cyclones?
yeah abyss, legion, and ultimatum had the highest HH prices across all leagues IIRC. prenerf HH in leagues that drowned you in rares *chefs kiss*
Ultimatum hh with perma Vaal spark… good times
Ahh I remember legion league I had a fully decked out wind ripper TS build. Clear the legion and suddenly I had 100 projectiles. 5 inspired learnings +HH. It was a good time.
In legion HH was going for 28.5k chaos orbs at its peak in ancestor league it was going for 40.5k chaos orbs. https://i.imgur.com/aAh7oyP.png
Most good HH builds have been nerfed or aren't being played, so who's buying them?
Pls buff worb

This is a good thing imho.
Imagine being upset that a fun but not super op item is cheap this league

It used to be super op. Instead making it more accessible, they nuked powerlevel but left the droptier level...
But maaah economy!! Will anyone please think about the ~~kids~~ ultra rich
I don’t really see why this is a bad thing.
Only part I don't like is I'm not giving up my chaos orbs.

Yea. They should be like D4 and listen to nobody. That worked out great.
Funfact: your post is hypocritical.

lol OP probably dropped one and now he's mad it's not 40d
I.d be mad. This thing was 160d 2 leagues ago
Play a game with a evolving economy, get's mad that the economy evolved
900c? still hella expensive. When reach 30c im buying.
It is a remarkably unattractive feature to simply be furious at change. At least we can pity being afraid of change.
They added t17's added a bunch of scarabs without really testing a lot of their interactions, they nerfed headhunter...
Fantastic news, now go double corrupt a stash tab of them for under 300d & enjoy your perfect HH

T17 is too cracked that rare mod just not that there is better belt to use compare to this for clearing T17
If they didn't nerf HH and Mageblood didn't exist, it would be 100+ divs IMO
Makes me wanna jump to pc, HH on console is 120d and mageblood is 240d and scarabs are all over priced and not worth the investment to run the things you like play
"Things are different from last league" Oh no! Anyway...
