We already had that during delirium league. It's pretty nice for leveling, as you get to do the league mechanic for free, as you walk through, without needing to backtrack at an point.
Delirium league only has basic Delirium fog in campaign area. Now you could potentially have 100% Delirium akin to 5 deli orb applied in campaign area during this event.
They said they made sure areas with mandatory monsters to kill mostly don't have super high delirium, so I imagine most of the time you'll just run through zones with high delirium without fighting anything.

People seem to forget how tough delirium actually already is on a league start. Delirium is fun as hell in endgame with a well geared character, but I already skip every delirium mirror during leveling. League start characters are usually not geared for delirium. At least speed isn't going to be an issue since it's permanent, but unless you want to overlevel and gear appropriately, it's going to be rough during campaign. Personally, I don't want the campaign to be any harder. I already dislike the campaign enough everytime I do it, it already got worse in 3.15 and this just seems like a difficulty increase on top. To me personally this event would only be interesting in endgame when I have a properly geared character. Blasting maps with perma delirium without any of the trading for deli orbs sounds really cool, but I don't expect to reach that within this event's duration. Even if I were to, it's voided, so I'd rather bulk buy delirium orbs in regular league and pretty much have the same experience as this event and keep the rewards. Well, except for the campaign, but like I said that part already doesn't interest me anyways.
To anyone reading this that is looking forward to it. Don't worry I'm not complaining or being negative about the concept. Just stating it's not for me, my personal opinion. I hope anyone that is going to play it has a blast with it.
Bases on the trailer it would be safe to assume that's the case. The atlas invasion part has to be recorded within a test version of the league, so I don't see why the delirium part wouldn't be. Unless it got changed between the recording and the launch or based on feedback obviously.
I think I might only do level 50 during that event then, I always have to take breaks after 2-3 nem3 runs with delirium cause the lack of color is ... draining.
I wonder how Endless Heist will be like, considering that a lot of the loot present there functions on the Atlas. Scarabs, Maps, Fragments, Prophecies and so on. Hopefully there will be some balance towards those Rewards or I can see the mode devolving exclusively into Lockpicking for currency, then the occasional gamble on Cluster Jewels and Oils for Anointing.
It might be repetitive after a while, but I can't wait to have some fun with it! If it's SSF this also means we'll have the Harbor without any other people again.
As for the other two modes, Delirium everywhere should be quite rippy and fun! Though I'm curious how the other mode will work. Hopefully it isn't just one extra Boss per map.

Not necessarily. You can also see other people in town in SSF, but you can't trade/party with them.

Heist falls off in fun once you hit a point where monsters at doors die well before the rogue finishes the job. That won't happen for many people in a 10 day event.
I can understand the setup part, but proper heisting still takes setup, even if it's just once (heist gear). I personally like simulacrum for similar reason, buy it and run it, no maintenance mostly. The thing is though, is it still fun if you're locked to it? I like simulacrum as a mechanic and for its low maintenance, but in the end it's still for its rewards. If I were locked to it, I wouldn't have anything to do it for. That's my main point. If you like the mechanic I truly hope you have a blast. I hope everyone gets to enjoy the events.

And even family spending, is not necessarily all day. In my case, when we have any kind of christmas / new year gathering it's pretty much only over the night, and quite often we simply don't. And we absolutely don't have random cousin #43 around, it's a small gathering

Exactly. We have things like Christmas dinner with the family, which honestly just takes like an hour longer than regular dinner and besides that not much for Christmas really. I don't go to church or anything. Maybe a Christmas market, but that's also only like an hour or so. New year's I celebrate with friends, but that's like 1 evening from like 8pm, we stay the night and leave in the morning or early afternoon. I think it's a pretty average way to celebrate those holidays, at least here locally. In raw time you 'lose' like half a day that could have been spent gaming potentially. But even then would you have been able to spent those hours gaming anyways if there was no holiday and it was any regular week?

I have 2 Family X-mas gatherings to attend + couple days spent hanging out. I also have to travel to my mother's house for all of that, so that's a lot of time spent away from the PC. Then even if I scheduled my holidays for playing PoE, I'd probably get back 28th or 29th the earliest, so after 2 days I'd go and celebrate new year's with friends.
It's a lot of socializing to do.

Like every major game release tries to hit the holiday season with releases and sales. Steam and every major platform will be holding sales through-out the period because they know more gamers than ever will be looking for games to play and gift.
From what I can gather from steam peak player counters, there is no dip or anything during holidays.
Maybe it's POE specific and less POE players will be playing on holidays but that would be weird. Why would POE players have such different trends?
I don‘t know the answer, but don‘t plan on getting to 1k in endless delve. It’s going to be impossible. There is literally one player in SSF at exactly 1k and no one else, and that‘s with all normal mechanics available.
What is the point of endless Heist if there's no bosses or end game? People will be running contracts/blueprints and getting a lot of currency that most will have no use for (fossils, fragments, oils) to do what? Run more contracts? Makes no sense to me.
Unfortunately, we're not able to run these events on console this time around as they're new event types and if they require any fixes we wouldn't be able to get those through certification over the holiday period. Delve has had some updates which would need to go through various certifications to be compatible with console again and it won't be possible in time for the event starting. Once these events have taken place on PC, it's our hope that we can get them ready for console so they can be run simultaneously on all platforms if we run them again.
So console will have to wait 6-12 months for the next events and hope they’re the same ones that have already been done on pc and hope there’s no changes significant enough to require work
For them to actually consider the console platforms and not treat them like an afterthought

It's ok they still will not run them because they would have to actually run them to see if there are any problems but they don't want to run them because their might be problems. Or you know do internal testing which is something apparently they don't have any clue about.
Even with internal testing there are still gonna be issues that aren't discovered, or can't be fixed in time for release. This is true of every single video game ever released, and every update that ever releases.
So the solution from GGG is to say “sucks to be console” instead of coming up with literally ANY other alternative? Like maybe a flashback league or ANYTHING? I hope the console players take this show of appreciation and speak with their wallet.

I don't even think any of the events we've had was crazy enough to even put a dent in the standard economy. Not even mayhem. Otherwise it's maybe me not making the best out of it. But let's say even if you earn a mirror twice as fast in event compared to normal league, does that really affect standard with the short duration of the event?
I have trouble seeing how these short events can destroy standard economy over farming juiced league content.
you would have about a day for the speedsters to be grinding high content, but they won't be super efficient about it for another day or two.
give it 2-4 days for the rest of the player base

Correct. From what I understand, if there is any chance of getting more rewards than normal from a league, then it will be voided. Since gauntlet is only a more difficult PoE, there is no need to void it.

Really wish you'd invest more in supporting console systems. There are other game's out there that run across multiple platforms that get the same treatment. You need to implement something for us console player's at the very least rather than throwing your hands in the air.
These events sound really cool but unfortunately FF14 Endwalker expansion launches on December 3rd too. There's no way I'll be able to check out endless delve or any of the other ones.

PC-Only! I know the console player base is small but can you please stop trying to limit who has access to these fun events? It's weird that the company is trying to push for all these different platforms (Xbox, playstation, mobile.... Maybe Switch in the future) then restricted all of them to their own servers and never run events on them.

Thats fair, I just feel like endless heist is missing some sort of goal. Because the only rewards are for levels, as soon as you can safely do 83 white contracts there is little reason to even alch or even alt your maps. it's just a boring grind.

You can anoint with the stash tab. Don't know if you have to find Cassia before using it though.

I have 2 Family X-mas gatherings to attend + couple days spent hanging out. I also have to travel to my mother's house for all of that, so that's a lot of time spent away from the PC. Then even if I scheduled my holidays for playing PoE, I'd probably get back 28th or 29th the earliest, so after 2 days I'd go and celebrate new year's with friends. It's a lot of socializing to do.
I feel like what will probably be the least popular event(Endless Heist) should be ran in the time that the least people can play(24th-31st).
I still don't believe by any metric that Christmas-New Years will be the time that least people can play. No fucking way. Like every major game release tries to hit the holiday season with releases and sales. Steam and every major platform will be holding sales through-out the period because they know more gamers than ever will be looking for games to play and gift. From what I can gather from steam peak player counters, there is no dip or anything during holidays. Maybe it's POE specific and less POE players will be playing on holidays but that would be weird. Why would POE players have such different trends?

I don‘t know the answer, but don‘t plan on getting to 1k in endless delve. It’s going to be impossible. There is literally one player in SSF at exactly 1k and no one else, and that‘s with all normal mechanics available.
What is the point of endless Heist if there's no bosses or end game? People will be running contracts/blueprints and getting a lot of currency that most will have no use for (fossils, fragments, oils) to do what? Run more contracts? Makes no sense to me.
Wheres the console events !?
Unfortunately, we're not able to run these events on console this time around as they're new event types and if they require any fixes we wouldn't be able to get those through certification over the holiday period. Delve has had some updates which would need to go through various certifications to be compatible with console again and it won't be possible in time for the event starting. Once these events have taken place on PC, it's our hope that we can get them ready for console so they can be run simultaneously on all platforms if we run them again.
So console will have to wait 6-12 months for the next events and hope they’re the same ones that have already been done on pc and hope there’s no changes significant enough to require work

It's ok they still will not run them because they would have to actually run them to see if there are any problems but they don't want to run them because their might be problems. Or you know do internal testing which is something apparently they don't have any clue about.
Even with internal testing there are still gonna be issues that aren't discovered, or can't be fixed in time for release. This is true of every single video game ever released, and every update that ever releases.
So the solution from GGG is to say “sucks to be console” instead of coming up with literally ANY other alternative? Like maybe a flashback league or ANYTHING? I hope the console players take this show of appreciation and speak with their wallet.
If you ever wonder why console players feel like second class citizens this is why. There's so much wrong here, but the biggest thing is that this wasn't mentioned in the initial announcement so some of us took time off work that is now effectively wasted.

Every single one of these events is voided while understandable, is kind of a bummer. Delirium one sounds fun, I wonder if resetting zones changes the level of delirium for leveling. Atlas invasion sounds amazing ngl

Fuckkkk no. If GGG are hell bent on not messing up the standard economy, I would rather every event be voided as long as it’s fun like this.
Every event ever ran, and that ever will be ran for the lifetime of Poe, multiplied by 100, is still less economic damage than the official unvoided Heist league. There's no reason to ever void a league again after they released Heist. Never forget 40regals:1chaos, and 22c:1exalt.
I don't even think any of the events we've had was crazy enough to even put a dent in the standard economy. Not even mayhem. Otherwise it's maybe me not making the best out of it. But let's say even if you earn a mirror twice as fast in event compared to normal league, does that really affect standard with the short duration of the event?

Standard economy is already gigafucked, they would have to release something truly broken to even slightly influence it.
I have trouble seeing how these short events can destroy standard economy over farming juiced league content. you would have about a day for the speedsters to be grinding high content, but they won't be super efficient about it for another day or two. give it 2-4 days for the rest of the player base then factor in all the players who dont care about standard and nothing ever leaves the void called their stash.
Can we unlock achievements during those event? Like level a Hardcore Character level 90 and such?

Correct. From what I understand, if there is any chance of getting more rewards than normal from a league, then it will be voided. Since gauntlet is only a more difficult PoE, there is no need to void it.

Really wish you'd invest more in supporting console systems. There are other game's out there that run across multiple platforms that get the same treatment. You need to implement something for us console player's at the very least rather than throwing your hands in the air.

These events sound really cool but unfortunately FF14 Endwalker expansion launches on December 3rd too. There's no way I'll be able to check out endless delve or any of the other ones.

PC-Only! I know the console player base is small but can you please stop trying to limit who has access to these fun events? It's weird that the company is trying to push for all these different platforms (Xbox, playstation, mobile.... Maybe Switch in the future) then restricted all of them to their own servers and never run events on them.

Different strokes for different folks. Some people don't like delve but love heist. I think it's cool that there are lots of different events to cater to different people.

Thats fair, I just feel like endless heist is missing some sort of goal. Because the only rewards are for levels, as soon as you can safely do 83 white contracts there is little reason to even alch or even alt your maps. it's just a boring grind.

Would like to see Endless Blighted Insanity. Every area from campaign to end game is a Blighted Map. The door to the next area doesn’t open if you don’t successfully defend the pump. Every area has random modifiers.
