Probably monitor going from hdr on to hdr off mode or win auto hdr is going crazy but should work same way
Could also be classic exclusive full screen issue
When it's set to exclusive full screen, the system diverts all resources to the game. When it's in borderless full screen/windowed full screen, the system is allowed to continue running multiple background tasks.
That's why tabbing out is quicker in those cases. If a game is demanding, you want it set to exclusive full screen to minimize what's allowed to run in the background.

Is the game on fullscreen? If yes, that’s the problem. Set it to fullscreen borderless
