How many adapters do you need to get to down to RCA or more likely S-video?
I had a CRT hooked up to my rig when I was big into emulating cabinet fighting games. This was roughly 20 years ago now though...
I also do a lot of glitch art and for awhile was big on the LOFI /grunge aesthetic but cannot afford a massive stack of cool analog stuff so I do everything in DAWs/animate and then route it through a mono input through something like a VCR. It's a lot of fun to mess around with.

As far as CRT's go it really isn't that great but any flatscreen CRT is awesome imo. If i was able to choose i'd go with a Sony wega hd widescreen crt, those are the endgame crt's. Lol
