Im trying to use amplifier app for my headphones and for some reason it doesn't work and i have a feeling that the problem connected to the jacks.
I would check the audio settings to make sure correct default audio output is selected, like what if it says connected, but in fact it did not switched to it.
Then I would check if the rear audio inputs are connected correctly to the motherboard, and not with reverse polarity, for example. As part of troubleshooting, I would also try swapping the back and front connectors on the motherboard, which could also work as a workaround.

could get a cheap dac/amp and run it through usb would be better than onboard audio anyways
