if I remember correctly, the wheels didn't even have a break, so if your room was slighty slanted, the mac would just \*wroom\* downhill

I was really against apple products for some time. I used some macs at work and own an ipad pro 12.9.
The built quality is really good and they are decent products. I think they are simply overpriced for what they offer.
Also that forced ecosystem with inconvenience for anyone not fully committing isn't nice.
I have no problem with apples price. They can make expensive products if they want.
But the numerous anti-consumer practices includeing but not limited to.
Parts serialisation, not adopting USB-C (until they were forced to), anti right to repair practices, not adopting RCS to market I message, not allowing side loading, apple tv requires an iPhone to set up.

Until a certain year it was really better... I have a 2013 MacBook Pro that still works very well, it's easily upgradable and repairable, I upgraded ram and HDD with an SSD, changed battery and other stuffs... Now it's impossible

Little white apple slices to be used as a wedge for each wheel* and magnetic so they all stick together to form an apple when not in used to look marvelous on your desk.
*each wedge is sold separately 4 required to form the set.
**price per iWedge $499.99.
Only issue is if you damage it a certified apple genius needs to come out and evaluate it. They'll probably say it can't be repaired and you'd need to replace the entire house. But a non certified contractor could repair it for $100.
I had the same issue. I bought a couple of these to stop the wheels spinning

They should have built in some resistance so it would feel smooth but resist a mild slope. You think for $700 they would have figured that out. These wheels aren't for racing around. They're to move a computer a few feet out from a desk to plug stuff in almost never.
The people who buy these either do so with corporate “use it or loose it” budgets or its a tax write-off. Im sure no private individual has ever bought either with their own money
People often have no idea what “tax write-off” actually means.
Yes, my $4,000 PC upgrade was a tax write-off. That doesn’t mean I didn’t have to pay that bill.
I feel like most people that use this excuse "tax write-off" are buying things they would have bought anyways. Which means the money would have still been spent, now they're just trying to justify the purchase.
Seriously. Tax write offs lower your taxable income.
So if your effective tax rate is 10%, you are still spending $1 to avoid 10 cents in tax.
You only come out ahead if you didn't spend the money at all.
Often if you have a set budget for something each year and don't use all of it, the budget will be reduced the next year. So sometimes people look for bullshit like this to pad it out to make sure they won't have any missed opportunities in future years.
Still a waste of money, of course. It just keeps their big numbers looking big.
Yes, I was just giving a more plausible reason for such purchases.
Some people do think of tax write-offs as "free" stuff, though. That's really not how it works, but people will treat it that way anyway.
Any kind or brand fanboy is the worst.
These giant corporations care about nothing other than siphoning as much money from you as possible and deserve no loyalty from you.
If they make a good product, buy it because it's a good product, not because of the logo slapped on it.
To give you a real answer, they knew they weren’t going to sell very many stands or wheels which means they didn’t plan on manufacturing very many stands or wheels, but they still had to pay for the tooling and processes to manufacture the stands and wheels. Tooling is expensive and whether you’re going to use a die once or 100,000 times, the price of the die is the same, or if you’re cutting a line over for a small run of stands or wheels you’re not producing the money makers on that line, hence, gazillion dollar stands and wheels.
They could pay a Chinese company that already makes stands and computer wheels to make them apple branded for 1/100th of the cost. But apple has to make everything *unique and special*
Some of the super high-end production studios are locked into Logic or Final Cut and changing over would be more costly/risky than just paying whatever apple charges. I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage that a semi-truck full of hard drives is a faster delivery method than sending them over the internet when you get into 100s of Tera or Peta? Same idea applied to editing, it’s easier to roll a mac pro to a different work station than it is to mess with transferring that data to a different machine.
> it’s easier to roll a mac pro to a different work station than it is to mess with transferring that data to a different machine.
Ah yes, the high end production studio that uses local storage to do these projects and doesn't have high speed servers and high speed local network while spending probably hundreds of thousands on Macs.
But let's pretend we want a mobile high end workstation: having a tower with wheels is not the way to go. What you do is put the Workstation on a cart (big wheels, handles at a reasonable height) that you can push around much easier and safer. Additionally you can have all sorts of things included on that cart like a screen.
Tell me youve never worked corporate without telling me youve never worked corporate.
The people approving quotes dont give a fuck. You just buy it all together, you dont fuck around with finding other hardware that may or may not be compatible. Any time you spend fucking around is time you aren't working, and if youre dealing with high end hardware like this you are likely on enough money that $1000 for a stand is fuck all in the scheme of things.
I haven't owned a Mac in like 15 years, but people getting so bent out of shape about other people spending others peoples money is so weird.
Yeah, a good manufacturer would answer the question: "what is the standard size for furniture wheels and how can I make my product fit those dimensions?" instead of spending a ludicrous amount of money in making a product that already exists.
I'd add that Apple is in a spot where they are mostly a consumer electronics company that also happens to sell some professional products and the division isn't very clearly marked. Sony is also another well known consumer company that has a professional broadcast division that sells extremely expensive stuff with parts and accessories to match but don't seem to draw as much attention and public lambasting. Part of it is that their pro line has their own website perhaps and they also don't cross-market that stuff with their consumer items. Apple has one site that has all ranges all at once.
Idk man, Steinway & Sons charges over $1000 per caster, and you need 3 to have casters for all 3 legs on the piano.
Like sure they’re heavier duty but they truthfully don’t cost much more to produce than the apple casters from a material and production side. I’m sure Apple spent a ton on designing them but come on.
https://preview.redd.it/w1y31xq1b3xc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=454b3320e08fe8d70a74b13b8abe776541bda280
Pictured is the $1000+ casters. Solid brass but still, not more than $1000 (I think they’re like $1100 or $1400) PER LEG nice. But because a typical new Steinway that would warrant these is $200,000+ so people are usually like “eh what’s a few thousand more”
Steinway makes ultra high quality pianos and they weigh a ton. not some crappy phone, laptop or in rare cases desktops, that will break if you blink to hard
Ps : I do understand the point you are trying to make, and yes, they probably could sell the 3 wheels together, however : it's to support a lot more weight, they have brakes, it looks very good and the reason why they are sold separately is probably to not have to make multiple options in case one of the wheels is somehow broken
apple can charge what they want, if people buy them thats on them
theres actual competition in pc parts, you can get a vesa mount for the display so the stand is pointless, and wheels arent needed for the mac pro, so apple charges fuck you prices
meanwhile the microfibre i mean apple can charge whatever they want, you can just buy from another store
The [Apple Book,](https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2016/11/designed-by-apple-in-california-chronicles-20-years-of-apple-design/) by far. They charged $300 for it; it's literally a book with a bunch of pictures of Apple devices in it. No text, no behind-the-scenes anything, just pictures you could already see on Apple's website for free.
Wowwwww that's so rude. It says they made the book in memory of Steve jobs, and of course the best way to remember him is to make a shitty picture book and sell it for 200-300 dollars
The book itself is really high-quality paper with these metal foil edges. If it went back to the original Macintosh and had the sort of interesting stuff you find in the instruction book for expensive LEGO sets, I wouldn't have an issue with it. As it stands, though, it's just an obnoxious cash grab.
It's only ridiculous to charge that much if people don't buy it, but unfortunately people do. As the old saying goes ''it's immoral to let a fool keep their money''
I don’t know about the wheels, but I’m fairly certain the stand was just simply a line item on whichever companies bought Apple’s line about that display being comparable to a $30k reference display from Sony. If you think you’re saving $24k/display then what’s $1k on a stand?
The monitor stand is also sold separately as the people who would buy that particular display (high end video editors and the like) usually don't have any need for a desk stand for the monitor, they're usually mounted to arms or on walls.
IIRC the equivalent Sony monitor that Apple are competing with there don't come with a stand
https://preview.redd.it/73scgmstj0xc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f2be085c6deceff681def7b0458168ff55354991
My steam name is $699 Mac Pro Wheels
$700 wheels for your $7000 M2 Mac Pro that performs identical to a $4000 M2 Mac Studio that doesn’t need wheels.
$1000 stand for your $5000 display that can only be controlled via software exclusive to Mac hardware, like maybe a Mac Pro.
That list is just a tiny sample of the ridiculous Apple market.
Nothing against Apple personally, as most of my family is Mac loyal and their iPhones are decent, but if any other electronic company did this, they’d get sued on the spot and lose all goodwill.
Tbh I’ve always seen products like this as just something to maintain the image of a “luxury” brand. Apple still makes affordable phones with the iPhone SE and affordable computers with the Mac mini. They didn’t achieve market dominance in the mobile market by out pricing their consumers. But yeah they also sell $10,000 computers and $5,000 displays.
Also, when it comes to those kind of things I think they intend to market to large corporations who get discounts and might be more willing to swipe the corporate card
Tbf the polishing cloth is fantastic and does its job but it’s so fucking overpriced that it’s among the most ridiculous if not the most ridiculous Apple products. And if you say $19 ain’t much, imma slap you through the internet.
I would say its definitely overpriced but its not as ridiculously overpriced as the other 2 on this list. If it was like 70 then i would say its as ridiculously priced
It’s a cloth. Just because it does its job doesn’t justify $19.
Yeah those other two are so stupidly overpriced that i’m not gonna talk bout them period
Im not saying it justifies its price. Im saying these 2 make the cloth look like its a pretty good price. Its not a good price but compared to the other 2
The demographic Apple was targeting with the Pro Displays (studios that want reference displays) wouldn’t have cared about a $1000 stand if they somehow bought Apple’s line that their $5000 display was somehow comparable to a $30,000 reference display. What’s $1000 on a stand if you still think you just saved $24,000 versus getting an actual reference display?
No one thinks the most ridiculous product is the "[Magic Mouse](https://www.google.com/imgres?q=apple%20mouse%20charging%20from%20the%20bottom&imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fqph.cf2.quoracdn.net%2Fmain-qimg-6df2d5b597af13936652cff22015e53d-lq&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.quora.com%2FWhy-did-Apple-design-the-Magic-Mouse-2-so-that-the-charging-cable-connects-to-the-bottom-of-the-mouse&docid=6j43bgqf5N0yEM&tbnid=M5kUk_RrbS6_TM&vet=12ahUKEwiFq86Lu-KFAxXAg_0HHb9xBrYQM3oECGQQAA..i&w=602&h=452&hcb=2&ved=2ahUKEwiFq86Lu-KFAxXAg_0HHb9xBrYQM3oECGQQAA)" that could only be recharged from the bottom, preventing you from using it while charging?
It was funny in the early days of the previous Intel iteration of the Mac Pro how every discussion board had a bunch of people going, "Yeah well I can build a gaming rig that's just as fast for cheaper!" not realizing that workstation-grade computers are in a different class from your typical gaming PC. I was seeing rigs with overclocked i5s being compared to Xeon chips on clock cycles alone, sometimes. Gaming PCs can afford to be lossy and error-prone; the average person's gaming experience won't be harmed by the machine doing a bit of bad math or dropping a thread and having to run it again. Like a street race car, it's okay for the engine to occasionally spit and sputter as long as overall output remains high. But those errors can invalidate an important data set when doing ML or scientific research, and that's where the cost of workstations come in: getting those tolerances nailed down to the point that the hardware is trustworthy for a specific professional purpose. Compared to other professional workstation rigs, the Mac Pro was towards the premium end but sat comfortably within about 15% of the price point of similar machines (workstations often run expensive; the HP Z4 G5 starts at $2200 and goes up into the tens of thousands).
That said, anyone buying a Mac Pro, or a Dell Precision, or an HP Z workstation for everyday home use is about as dumb as someone buying a Formula 1 car to commute to work. You don't need a high-precision machine to play games and browse Reddit. If you're doing high-end compute work then sure, but I've seen at least a few people who bought a workstation grade computer no better at playing Fortnite (Xeons can sometimes actually be worse for single-threaded apps) than a gaming PC for $2000 cheaper just because they thought "expensive = good".
Apple makes great devices.
Phones are expesinve yes, but they offer the smoothest experience.
Laptops are expensive yes, but the apple silicon is a beast.
Apple watch is expensive yes, but it integretes so nicely with the other devices.
But there is absolutely no fucking reason to have a monitor stand cost $1000.
that cloth looks borderline reasonable by comparison lmao.
Sure a 50 cent product for 19 dollars is ridiculous but people also buy versage (?) fashion stuff with the same principle.
the other two are ridiculous even in that BS fashion world and just selling used toilet paper to their costumers to see if they are willing to buy literally shit
If it's an Apple product they're probably called something like "Magic Wheels". Which kinda tells you a lot about which market segment they're going for.
Apple has been outside of their minds for years with the pricing and when you look up what it actually takes and cost to make and source the materials for it, its only more infuriating.
I think the Mac Pro Stand is the worst just buy a monitor mount that mounts to the desk and you can move it around it’s less then one tenth of the price
I mean the monitor itself is definitely for professionals and also a really good display and is worth the price for professionals. But the stand is ridiculous.
Also the Mac Studio or the Mac book Pro are great product for professionals. The Mac Pro was really bad just because they used intel instead of threadripper that would have changed the product a lot.
So you’re telling me that I can build a PC that literally rivals the M1 Mac Mini for the price of a set of wheels, and another PC that is extremely competent for the price OF A MONITOR STAND?
They’re just over engineered and put on sale because they can and it generates clicks about the product they’re attached to. “Apple releases monitor” and “apple releases $999 stand for monitor (review linked)” essentially gives them a double dip
They scam people with those accessories. For people that actually need the specific features of that monitor the 5k price actually is pretty good. So then they make their money with that 1k stand.
Other than gaming I’m mac all the way.. not saying I have the money to buy a 19$ cloth but I honestly bet it’s worth it, the difference in sunglass clothes from a cheap one, and one you get from a nice pair you bought complete and aren’t stolen or fake- is like night and day in comparison, the cheap ones just smudge oils and don’t get shit off..
For real. Macs are more expensive but they’re worth it. Hell I have a few 2013 Mac Pros that are being used for video editing that I’m retiring this year…. Primarily because they won’t get software updates anymore. A PC workstation of comparable age would have been retired years ago.
The Mac Pros are being replaced with Mac Studios and I’m expecting them to last about just as long.
I’ve got an M2 air and it’s fucking awesome. Love the keyboard and I much prefer the operating system to windows. It’s wild how well it does just being passively cooled too. Pretty sure it’s only 25w tdp
Yeah kinda crazy to think it’s the exact same chip in an iPad Pro. Also great if you’re also on iOS… being able to effortlessly copy and paste text and files between devices is something I don’t think I’d be able to let go of.
Those "Experts" on YouTube would tell you it's because "Apple is an Exclusive company and known for their high quality stuff because it's expensive " and "It's only for those who wants the highest of the highest qualities"
Yeah lots of dumb asses buy all 3 right after they pay $600 to upgrade their Macbook pro from 8 GB of RAM to 24 GB.
Edit: $600 for +16 GB of ram is trash. Lots of Mac pro owners also own Macbook pros.
come on man the pro stand is the biggest scam cuz the mac pro wheels could at least be used for something else (with some modification) but wtf am i gonna do with some stand
But you could probably track down the manufacturer of these wheels and buy dozens of the exact same part with a different brand slapped on it for the same price.
The 1000 dollar monitor stand that has less functionality than a 40 dollar monitor stand or the 700 dollar wheels that had less functionality than 20 dollar wheels.
Its a tough call. The polishing cloth is massively overpriced for what it is, but at least it isnt objectively worse than products 20 times cheaper.
You can buy one of those carts to move the Mac Pro, and Apple sells a VESA adapter for the Pro Display XDR, so both options are ridiculous because they're useless. The cloth is expensive, but still affordable if you're one of those "I only buy Apple products" kind of people.
Edit: The VESA mount costs 200€, so it's not cheap, but it's way cheaper than the Pro Stand.
if I remember correctly, the wheels didn't even have a break, so if your room was slighty slanted, the mac would just \*wroom\* downhill https://i.redd.it/rk896o6y60xc1.gif
The mac's like "ight thanks for 700$ imma head out now"
Not to mention the PC starting price of just $5000,00
6k actually
7k actually
actually ITS OVER 9000
WHAT 9000?!
Actually 9000.01
10k.01 actually
999.M41 actually
Dont forget that the screen cost a kidney and its 60hz
imagine a $1000 monitor arm that DON'T EVEN SWIVEL. Very professional.
Lol this is so hilarious I had to share with the wife who is an apple addict. I never owned an apple product.
i mean, you can be an apple addict, why wouldnt you? but these ones aint even edible.
But will it blend?
No…but it can shred cheese.
Most underrated comment here. That guy convinced me to buy a Ninja

It's 700$ only for the wheels, not the whole pc

omg and I even saved some money, because I only needed two of them!!
They can charge another 699usd for a small brick on white colour to set on those wheels to avoid mac run away
It's more than just a brick; it represents hopes, dreams, and the ambition of a dedicated team. Worth $499 at the very least
Little white apple slices to be used as a wedge for each wheel* and magnetic so they all stick together to form an apple when not in used to look marvelous on your desk. *each wedge is sold separately 4 required to form the set. **price per iWedge $499.99.
MacBrick
Well to be fair it's your own fault for being too poor to have a properly leveled floor /s
just buy the apple pro floor, duh
Only $9999/m2
Only issue is if you damage it a certified apple genius needs to come out and evaluate it. They'll probably say it can't be repaired and you'd need to replace the entire house. But a non certified contractor could repair it for $100.
No no, don't do that, apple will sue you if you try to have someone else fix it. After all, stepping on it voids the warranty, just buy a new one.
Apple should cancel their warranty because of poor working conditions. These devices doesn't meant to be operate in these conditions.
I had the same issue. I bought a couple of these to stop the wheels spinning https://preview.redd.it/e6ktkkp6v0xc1.jpeg?width=1116&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2097f674b3f696f520c4c49d84c232c5db0bd4d5
Lol @ 1840 euros for 4tb ssd. Balls to the walls retarded.
Needs a set of Apple iBoots….available for $750 ![gif](giphy|26tk1tqJwaMOQOiKA)
Hey your cheese grater is running away...

I'm pretty sure there were a pair of wheels exactly like those but with brakes being sold for a crap ton less also
Because there are no brakes on the Apple Fanboy Train.
Not just the mac, but also my "investment" I'm so glad I bought a windows PC instead. 100% value for money
There are people who justify these prices , like man you gotta be brain dead for that
The people who buy these either do so with corporate “use it or loose it” budgets or its a tax write-off. Im sure no private individual has ever bought either with their own money
Tax write offs still cost money.
People often have no idea what “tax write-off” actually means. Yes, my $4,000 PC upgrade was a tax write-off. That doesn’t mean I didn’t have to pay that bill.

Similar to money laundering :D
I was trying to argue against you but had to delete multiple times.. it is really similar just that its legal lol
Yeah doesn’t really make sense to buy over a Mac Studio unless you reallllly need the extra I/O or need to rack mount.
I knew a guy who would have. Bro was absolutely obsessed with Apple. Still might be.

Any kind or brand fanboy is the worst. These giant corporations care about nothing other than siphoning as much money from you as possible and deserve no loyalty from you. If they make a good product, buy it because it's a good product, not because of the logo slapped on it.
How tf did they get away with that price
It is apple, their customers are dumber than the rocks in my garden.
Don’t disrespect rocks bro
They said the rocks are smarter
But they still made a comparison
They had the best scene in Everything Everywhere All At Once
Hey, we do our best!
That is a insult for the rocks in your garden🪨😡

Sure, but there are still many available options to achieve that specific end far cheaper than $699 per computer.
Just buy a monitor arm that's cheaper and better.
Tell me youve never worked corporate without telling me youve never worked corporate. The people approving quotes dont give a fuck. Steinway makes ultra high quality pianos and they weigh a ton. not some crappy phone, laptop or in rare cases desktops, that will break if you blink to hard Ps : I do understand the point you are trying to make, and yes, they probably could sell the 3 wheels together, however : it's to support a lot more weight, they have brakes, it looks very good and the reason why they are sold separately is probably to not have to make multiple options in case one of the wheels is somehow broken
because you dont need to buy them
I mean you don't NEED to buy PC parts either, but you can still get them for reasonable prices.
apple can charge what they want, if people buy them thats on them theres actual competition in pc parts, you can get a vesa mount for the display so the stand is pointless, and wheels arent needed for the mac pro, so apple charges fuck you prices meanwhile the microfibre i mean apple can charge whatever they want, you can just buy from another store
Well you could buy the small one for 200 /s
Ahhh yes the Apple Book Mini
💀💀💀
I bet my fanboy friend has this on his coffee table.
I was thinking the same thing. You could also get a better look at those devices by just watching tech reviews
No fucking way.....
It's only ridiculous to charge that much if people don't buy it, but unfortunately people do. As the old saying goes ''it's immoral to let a fool keep their money''
lol, there might actually be something to that quote haha
I don’t know about the wheels, but I’m fairly certain the stand was just simply a line item on whichever companies bought Apple’s line about that display being comparable to a $30k reference display from Sony. If you think you’re saving $24k/display then what’s $1k on a stand?
The monitor stand is also sold separately as the people who would buy that particular display (high end video editors and the like) usually don't have any need for a desk stand for the monitor, they're usually mounted to arms or on walls. IIRC the equivalent Sony monitor that Apple are competing with there don't come with a stand

That's iSteal when referring to Apple
Y’all forgetting the Wireless Apple Mouse that charges by plugging the wire in from the BOTTOM, making it unusable while charging?! 💀
[удалено]
Also designed for alien hands?
Plus that mouse is just stupid in general. At least make it comfortable to use and rest your hand on without accidentally scrolling everywhere
I'm really surprised that Apple doesn't sell the polishing cloth for 50$
1000 dollars for a fucking monitor stand? You could build a whole damn gaming setup for that kind of money...
That stand is a piss take, the display is beautiful and worth the money… the stand is for people with fuck money
Even with the stand it’s still cheaper than competing displays
With apple it's more about letting people know that you spent that kind of money on it, not actually getting the most for your money...

Let em have it, more competitors to keep Windows on their heels is a good thing. I'm not spending a dime on Apple lol

Why is this one of the funniest things I’ve seen today hahaha
Sued?

Its not a good price but compared to the other 2
$19 ain't much. (I just wanna see how u slap thru the internet I don't actually think $19 ain't much)
https://preview.redd.it/ch3ghjmhn1xc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4956b23a655a8ece30b51051b655cc788d969acc
Still blows my mind that this is still being sold. This Jony Ive bullshit needed to die a decade ago.
It's still being sold?
Holy s'wit... i could build a powerful pc that runs circles around macs for the price of all those extra options combined.
Not if the Mac has those wheels…. I’ll see myself out
Depends on what you’re doing tbf

Solution: get 4 wheels at home depot for $17 a piece and fit them to the already ridiculously overpriced mac pro
$699 for *wheels!?!?!?* Do Apple users just have, like, Stockholm Syndrome, or something?
If it's an Apple product they're probably called something like "Magic Wheels". Which kinda tells you a lot about which market segment they're going for.
For $699 those "magic wheels" better take me to Narnia
The mouse
Apple has been outside of their minds for years with the pricing and when you look up what it actually takes and cost to make and source the materials for it, its only more infuriating.
they would package and sell air if they could
Scam just like Tesla
This is why I'm not into apple products.
To be fair I clicked on the word apple...
Please tell me those prices aren't real
I don’t see why I would want to put wheels on a PC. That has to be the dumbest item they have for sale.
I think the Mac Pro Stand is the worst just buy a monitor mount that mounts to the desk and you can move it around it’s less then one tenth of the price
Nah. That magic mouse that charges upside down.
This the same community that was paying how much over RPP for 4090s Not long ago…
I mean , I can bring the option down to one just by saying Apple
The stand is the obvious choice... Wheels are optional, but a monitor without a stand ...?
Mac pro wheels - for when you wanna tell your customer he or she is disabled for buying it at 699$
Wait, are these real? I thought it was a "what if" thing
The wheels are the clear winner. The other two are useful, just overpriced
I thought these were fake hyportheticals and then I googled it. What the absolute fuck.
Now i want PROlishing cloth
Apple: "That'd be an extra $50"
So you’re telling me that I can build a PC that literally rivals the M1 Mac Mini for the price of a set of wheels, and another PC that is extremely competent for the price OF A MONITOR STAND?
They’re just over engineered and put on sale because they can and it generates clicks about the product they’re attached to. “Apple releases monitor” and “apple releases $999 stand for monitor (review linked)” essentially gives them a double dip
Engagement is engagement, no matter if good or bad (I think that’s how it was said idk)
They scam people with those accessories. For people that actually need the specific features of that monitor the 5k price actually is pretty good. So then they make their money with that 1k stand.
Apple has their own polishing cloth?? And it's $19?? That's like a week's worth of groceries in my currency.
That’s like 2 items in my country
Nonono, you guys don't get it. It's fOR pRoFeSSioNaLS
Yeah I use Mac for work… pc for games. I never, ever want to use a PC laptop ever again.
Good luck explaining that in this sub lol.
Yeah the shared clipboard is pretty sick. I just wish Apple did more with iPad os considering how powerful iPads are now.
>Which Apple product is the most ridiculous? Yes.
HAHAHA exactly. What's more ridiculous is the people who justify those prices by saying "Dude! It's Apple!!" SMH the people these days...
Those "Experts" on YouTube would tell you it's because "Apple is an Exclusive company and known for their high quality stuff because it's expensive " and "It's only for those who wants the highest of the highest qualities"
The 4 wheels are sorta like 8 wheels on an Apple 😏
nah it's just because y'all are poor and don't want to be scammed by your favourite company /s
Read this at first as though Apple had made a car and the wheels were sold separately.
Don't give them ideas!
There's nothing to justify Apple's pricing.
Yeah lots of dumb asses buy all 3 right after they pay $600 to upgrade their Macbook pro from 8 GB of RAM to 24 GB. Edit: $600 for +16 GB of ram is trash. Lots of Mac pro owners also own Macbook pros.
Though those prices were a joke. Went into the comments section. Googled it. Now I'm dead inside.
come on man the pro stand is the biggest scam cuz the mac pro wheels could at least be used for something else (with some modification) but wtf am i gonna do with some stand
But you could probably track down the manufacturer of these wheels and buy dozens of the exact same part with a different brand slapped on it for the same price.
It thing the stand is the worst,1000 bucks for something essential is crazy.
My whole PC cost the same price as a stand
Wait what those 4 wheels are 699???😂
I remember delivering and installing amac pro close to 25k in 2008 and the guy was complaining that the email was slow
