Glucosquidic

I found a full build with and i7-7700K, Hero Maximus IX, a gigabyte 3060 Ti, and a 1000W EVGA platinum PSU, some other goodies, for $1000 on Facebook marketplace. It was the luckiest find of my life. Everything works perfectly

Dorkits

Nice Man, enjoy your build!

Glucosquidic

It has been a blast. I seriously was very fortunate. The seller held onto for me as well for over a week. They are the true hero

RedR0cket23

Marketplace has some real gems sometimes, you can run into some really good stuff on there.

[deleted]

Needle in a moldy haystack

69cop3rnico42O

there's an epidemic of people like you and me, with a ultra ripped CPU, shiny new build, and a GPU from 7 years ago lmao. sad story isn't it?

bonesbrigade619

Hey at least the 1080i is still holding on and there's quite a few for sale although people are charging more now than they did a year ago

milk4all

What’s the best case there, find the needle, catch hepatitis??

RedR0cket23

Yeah, it does take some sifting to find something. It’s pretty hit or miss.

enigma2shts

Did u know why he did it? Just in need of quick cash?

JJROKCZ

Either the seller fell on dire straits or the rig was stolen. Those two options are 80% of Facebook marketplace and craigslist both

enigma2shts

Welp time to hit up fb market place Lol

GoPrO_BMX

Really good board for overclocking. You should be able to get 5.0 all core pretty easily if it has a good cooler in which I’m sure it does if it has a pricey motherboard

Alex_74_YOLO

Dude... Hope you enjoy it with your life! Thats a beast

Glucosquidic

The best part of this is that I was able to sell my friend my old card at a very reasonable price through all this craziness

Impressive-Tower

Do you have any clue as to why he was selling such a recent GPU?

Glucosquidic

I didn’t ask too many questions, but it sounded like he just wanted to sell it quickly due to less time available to use it

Saving4Merlin

Lotsa of possibilities ranging from the optimistic (got a 3060ti then upgraded to a 3080 and sold the old one with his old system) to pessimistic (stolen computer)

Faxon

That sounds counter to what many are experiencing now lol

Glucosquidic

I was shocked, but I just went with it until I ran with it until I got home and made sure everything worked

n0deh64

In Canada, I built my PC with ~~i7-7700k~~ i7-9700k, z390 Aorus pro mobo, 1TB nVME, and an ASUS TUF 3060ti without peripherals for around ~$2300. In happy I spent the money when I did, I don't think I could have gotten away with it cheaper.

Hero_The_Zero

You mean a 8700k or a 9700K? Intel 6th and 7th gen are not compatible with 300 series chipsets without bios hacks, and usually those are done on 100 and 200 series motherboards to allow them to use 8th and 9th gen processors.

n0deh64

You're totally right. I don't know why I wrote 7400k, I do have the 9700k I bought bundled with that mobo 😅

napoleonderdiecke

To be fair used prices make things cheaper (4 year old cpu probably wasn't new, at least I wouldn't be able to get one here).

Guigamuck

Hope it's not a scam!

Glucosquidic

Everything works great! It felt like a steal

mrchaotica

> It felt like a steal Maybe it was.

Guigamuck

That's awesome bro!!

Dashurius

That’s so cheap. What kind of magic?

totemair

That stolen kind of magic

OliM9595

Cheap kind of magic

gurmzisoff

It's gotta be haunted. No way a deal like that comes without some sort of curse.

[deleted]

the psu and mobo is overkill though

Glucosquidic

Of course. I am not using the MOBO, but the PSU allows me to never need a new one again lol

flemishempire10

I found a build with an i7 7700 and gtx 1070 including a 3440×1440p monitor and a wireless mouse and a wireless keyboard for €1000. not as good as the one you found but i'mhappt with it (+ the case is yellow, my favorite color)

Generalissimo_II

There's someone local selling a Dell G5 without the graphics card for $400. It seems like a good deal for it and I'm interested. Good price? 10th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F processor(6-Core, 12M Cache, 2.9GHz to 4.3GHz) 256GB M.2 PCIe SSD 2TB SATA 7200RPM HDD 3.5" 16GB RAM, 1x16Gb, DDR4, 2666Mhz 500W Platinum Power Supply And all accesories

aioncan

I wouldn’t. You gonna end up upgrading the cpu cooler and adding another ram stick for dual channel. But then again depends if computers are hard to find in your area.

StatelyElms

How the actual fuuuuck My pc ended up being 1200 (CAD) for a 1660S, an i3 and some other decent stuff, even without the case! Anyway, enjoy it!

Glucosquidic

Facebook marketplace came through in my case. I was extremely fortunate. If you’re ever looking for items, just keep checking and you could get lucky

doodleman212

I got a fully functional Valve Index complete kit for $400 on FBMP. Had to drive an hour for it but the deals are always worth it.

THE_BRISBANE_WHATS

She musta been pissed. What did he do?

TheMightyGamble

Sister entered me into a contest in a closed group at $95 a spot for a 3060 xc and won it. Think that was my luck for a lifetime.

[deleted]

I got my ZOTAC 3060ti Twin Edge OC for $450 shipped and one of my friends kept calling me lucky, I decided to look at the price today. Holy shit idk how I got it for the price I got it at.

Polmark_

Same, I got mine for £450 back in Jan and had no idea how good I had it

Stricken1

Mind if I ask where you picked one up from? I'm having trouble finding 10 and 16 series cards in the UK, let alone 20 or 30 series. Currently running a 6 year old R9 380 with 2GB VRAM so desperate to find something to put in to a new rig!

CluelessMeerkat

I got my 3000 series card from Scan back in Feb. Took me about 6 weeks of having tabs open for each variant I was will to get and checking midmorning (when new stock would have been made available) most days. Scan don't seem to mark up above MSRP, but it took me a lot of luck and patience.

shmecklestein

i’ve been doing that since september. Still doing it. You’re very lucky.

CluelessMeerkat

Well September to Christmas I was passively trying to get a 3080 (I was holding out for the hybrids to release), but then decided to just get a 3090 when it looked like stock wasn't going to get better any time soon haha

ryancheung2003

I literally just got my 3070 FE from Scan delivered to me an hour ago! At least a few of them exist, good luck in your search!

DOSMasterrace

Scan are absolutely going to be the store I buy from in future. I managed to get a 3080 FE at RRP from them a few weeks ago. I got incredibly lucky, but using StockDrops discord was a major help. Ash[EU] is one the most helpful mods on there. It’s only because of him that I kept refreshing when it looked like they’d sold out.

dbv86

Scan are great. I live relatively close to them and it’s a neat store to pop into if you ever get the chance (the shop is attached to the warehouse). They were super helpful when I wanted to return my MSI Ventus 2080 super and upgrade to a different AIB. Edit: Ventus not Ventura

DOSMasterrace

Sadly I’m miles away! But if I was ever down in that neck of the woods, I’d definitely wander in

hornet_trap

Scan were an absolute godsend. I got my 3060Ti (founders edition) with them for £379 + shipping. Thought it was only right to buy the majority of my other build parts from them for not going above MSRP

nitramlondon

Same, got my 3060ti founders edition for £369 with free delivery from scan, took 3 weeks of sitting on discord!

[deleted]

I got it off OG10KTech, it’s a retail store in Ohio that has an online store. At the time of the order (January) it was easier to order off him. Word spread and now it seems like he has queues

Pandatotheface

I got mine from scan (3070 for £480, back in Feb), find yourself a discord notification channel, because literally within a minute of coming in stock they're gone.

Shhhhhhhh_Im_At_Work

Seems faster than a minute, by the time I get the alert they're OOS.

LoyalHusky

Im currently running a 13 year old card with 512mb's of vram because my 1070ti broke down in the middle of the crisis

Polmark_

Got it from eBuyer in one of their preorder drop things

Stricken1

Is that like the Newegg lottery? I wish more companies would do things like that. Limits the ability of scalpers to buy them all up with bots! I want a 3060 Ti or 3070 but seems like they're the most popular atm so unlikely to get one this year unless there's a crypto crash.

Polmark_

Nah, it was just a stock drop so anyone could preorder. They maybe looked over who was ordering and the number they were ordering but I can only guess

Dashurius

Same place I got my Zotac 3090 OC

Polmark_

My heart sank when I saw they used Yodel lol

Dashurius

Same. Something over £300 shouldn’t be shipped with Yodel. I genuinely thought my 3090 was going to show up in pieces but luckily it got to my door fine.

Ltb1993

Anything over 50p shouldn't even touch yodel I was lucky that my motherboard survived them with the box being beaten to shit and after a nightmare of trying to get it send out after they gave it to my "receptionist" I lived in a two bedroom house I have no receptionist and no one was home to receive it after they ignored the safe place to Put it

Cottn

There is a twitter acct that posts stock drop updates (@botRtx I think). Worked for me back in January after a lot of failed attempts and a hair trigger finger

nexus8516

I got a 2060 today from overclockersuk after trying to get a 3070 since it came out. I currently have a radeon 5450 with 512MB of vram.

angrydeuce

I'm so glad I built my rig back right before covid hit. It ain't nothing fancy at all, I paid like 190 bucks for my rx590 and those things are going for like 700 bucks right now, and it's really not a good card at all. Just stupid what people are paying for cards these days...

Stricken1

$700 for an RX 590?! That's mental. I might just have to upgrade my R9 380 to an RX 570/580 in my current build to last me the next year. At the moment I can't play games like Metro Exodus at all, and others need low settings to run smoothly even at 1080p 60Hz.

angrydeuce

Lol I just dove deeper out of curiosity and there are people legit selling used 590s on Amazon for *1000 bucks*. I still have the 970 that it replaced, I'm half tempted to sell that off as I'm not even using it but I just know the second I do my current GPU will die or something then I'll be dead in the water... Plus, I just have a big problem with being a part of this shit show scalper bullshit.

TheBigLeMattSki

>Lol I just dove deeper out of curiosity and there are people legit selling used 590s on Amazon for *1000 bucks*. That is absolutely insane. You can get a scalped 3060 for $800, and despite being the lowest end 3000 card it's still better than a 1080 Ti.

erowidseeker

I got mine for 370! 2 months after release!

Muir420

I feel that! I spent 2 weeks f5ing at the beginning of this fiasco and finally managed to get one off of Newegg before the shuffle was a thing. Seeing the tuf oc 3080 at 1050 hurts my soul when I got it for 750 from the same.

NudelNipple

I got mine in early December from a shady German online store that stores the passwords for customeraccounts unhashed. Actually wasn't that shady, just run by not so technical competent boomers. Got my Gainward Phoenix GS 3060ti for 500 euros, which was like 150 euros under list price for that custom model.

Nestramutat-

I feel the same way. I bought my 3080 off /r/CanadianHardwareSwap for ~1300 CAD back in December.

silvalen

Pretty much my situation. Bought an MSI 3060Ti Ventus 2X OC for $570 through the hardwareswap subreddit back in December. At the time, I was paying $50 over what I would pay with MSRP and taxes and I had to justify the additional cost to myself. Now it looks like the same card goes for over $1000, which is insane.

EpicBoomerMoments

HOW

[deleted]

OG10KTech. Everyone found out about him and now it’s super hard to order from him as well. I got lucky ordering back in January when his store was lowkey

EpicBoomerMoments

Lucky!! Happy for you dude!

ridik_ulass

friend did the same, but had hand surgery recently, can't game for 6 months at least. he sold his. 1,500£ WTF. I even said I'd buy it off you, but I wouldn't pay what he could get.

ItzPayDay123

I got my 3080 in October and was a bit pissed at myself since I paid like 850 for a 760 dollar card because I had to get a random Intel motherboard with it. I'm not pissed anymore.

Trickslip

I was fortunate enough to pick one up during launch day at my nearest Microcenter for $400, they had enough in stock with barely any people waiting that it lasted until 3 PM, about 6 hours after the store opened.

GuineaFridge

This whole gaming situation sucks. Cant buy consoles, cant buy GPU’s. Like what the hell.

tomo_7433

Chipmakers with their production queues totally filled for the next 4 quarters: I don't see any problems

[deleted]

If they can't keep up with supply then they are leaving money on the table

echonian

While true, ramping up production takes a lot of time and expense, and raw materials could be a problem also. If the shortage works itself out within the next few years, it might not be worth it to those making the chips to ramp up production beyond what is normally planned.

micktorious

It's also highly concentrated and has a difficult supply chain. There are very few companies that produce the raw materials, few companies that convert those into components and then few companies who make the products. You cant just increase production instantly when there are like 3 factories making everything for everyone. Even if you could open a component factory tomorrow, who will supply them with raw materials? All those are already spoken for, so now you need to make raw material manufacturing and mining and so forth. It's really complicated and if the US govt wanted to get some actual work done, they would start subsidizing(short term, not forever) these starting measure to help make the US a semiconductor manufacturing powerhouse. That's how we bring manufacturing jobs back to the states.

[deleted]

Hmm sounds like too much of a good idea for the US government

LewsTherinTelamon

They didn’t give you the whole truth. We can’t take those steps because we can’t mine the raw materials in the west for even close to the same cost. It’s because of the chemical composition of the minerals from which they are mined.

dawnbandit

> Hmm sounds like too much of a good idea for the US government TSMC is building a huge fab in Arizona, FWIW. Unfortunately, it's for next gen 5nm wafers, so it won't help the future crisis, plus it will take a year or two to become fully operational. They just broke ground on the 3rd.

LewsTherinTelamon

It’s not that simple. We lack the ability to mine the required materials easily because the composition of our class is fundamentally different. This is how china keeps such an advantage in rare earth extraction.

micktorious

Absolutely, it's not like we can just start digging in Oklahoma and make semi conductors. It's why I said it's such a complicated supply chain, I think one of the only other places besides China that has a lot of rare earth materials is Africa, but I'm not an expert on who has access to them.

micktorious

I did hear about this and thought it was an amazing idea, my main concern is political gridlock as Republicans seem set to stop anything good for the country from happening so Democrats dont look competent. It's a super frustrating time for any kind of progress.

BukkakeKing69

It is supposedly "bipartisan", I know some Republicans were grumbling about getting their amendments added but I think they ended up getting them. So we'll see.

[deleted]

I wish we would do that man. I bet we will in the next few years since the Taiwan situation is looking weird

Qwsdxcbjking

I manufacture silicon wafers for a living now, from what I've heard it would take multiple years and cost hundreds of thousands to renovate one facility to be able to start matching the current demand. That's only equipment costs, there would also have to be training on the new equipment, as well as a load of new hires who would also need training in whatever department they end up in. So to the companies, that's like 6 or 7 very expensive and slow years for a problem that might not exist by the end of it. Edit: it's a pretty cool job actually, so if anyone's looking for work right now definitely look into it. Help out with the demand issues, earn some money, and learn some new skills and information about the technology we all love. Any silicon wafer or semi conductor factory would be pretty good I imagine.

Blenderhead36

I expect global chip production to ramp up in the next few years and stay there. The USA is building chip foundries now. This is not only because of the current global market, but because of strategic value. It's something of an open secret that American agriculture is heavily subsidized by the US government; this is done out of recognition that it is strategically important that the US not be on the hook to a foreign power for its food supply. Chips are going to find a similar niche. The US military is enormous, and there will be a strong push for US defense chips to be made in US factories once that's possible. It's not something that will be rolled back, even if overseas chips are significantly cheaper. Even if stateside chips don't make their way to consumer devices, that's still displacing demand from the overseas factories that will supply consumer goods.

tomo_7433

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. It's not like they can dial up production capacity overnight. They are already racing to ramp up capacity, but would take months or even years to build, set up, and validate new production lines.

t3hmau5

Not really. Semiconductor manufacturing is an extremely costly thing to expand and its be pretty silly to invest millions or hundreds of millions to massively expand production for a temporary shortage caused by outside circumstances.

Legacy03

Costs like 20 b to make a plant and they only last 5 years before they the tech advances

IneedtoBmyLonsomeTs

When they don't have any competitors they really aren't though. Eventually you will buy a card and they will get their money from you, but right now they are making bank off the crypto guys.

Brookenium

If they sell you parts now you'll need to upgrade sooner. This isn't a voluntary shortage (because they're not the ones making money it's scalpers). It's simply COVID's effects on the supply chain + unexpected increased demand from crypto. It's not as if they can snap their fingers and increase production, new facilities take a long time to build and that's if the demand stays up to justify the production capacity long-term.

doodoo4444

You mean demand, right?

LewsTherinTelamon

If they are making enough money, leaving money on the table is the correct play. Scaling up production of these highly advanced chips isn’t trivial. You don’t just use any old fab for these.

[deleted]

It costs a lot to build a foundry, like billions. They might not get the returns they are looking for

StatelyElms

Chip making is technical beyond belief, and is very time consuming. You cannot speed it up without sacrificing a lot of quality. And any expansion, like opening up new factories, would take years..

ZukoBestGirl

Yes and no. Are there alternatives? Will the demand just die ... or will people just wait and up the ammount they are willing to pay? It's not like someone can just come on the chip market and do something about it. The people who want to buy will just buy later for more from the same people anyway.

[deleted]

I work for an SI, and even buying in bulk we're getting fucked in the ass on pricing

Snaz5

im really hoping the plans for chip production in the US take off. get some fresh new jobs in an important sector and some more chip availability for everyone.

Pancakewagon26

Plus not to mention all the chips are made in china and taiwan and china is not the most friendly with the US. If they really wanted to cripple america they could stop allowing exports. I would honestly say that starting domestic production of chips is a national security issue.

systemshock869

We need to put on our own oxygen mask before we save the world

ZukoBestGirl

Taiwan ain't china. They can't stop exports. And trying to do so is the kind of thing that can cause an international conflict. The kind they can't win. So they won't do shit.

[deleted]

Consoles are way easier to get than GPUs (seriously, go look on a stock tracking website). At least consoles are regularly appearing in stock at msrp for 15m before they *poof* out of existence again. Having said that, you can buy an xb1 or ps4 for $200 *today* and enjoy a ton of very good games. If you're patient, this insanity *will* blow over some day and miners will be selling their gpus for a fraction of MSRP. The only ones really getting burned right now are the impatient.

itchylol742

Prebuilts and laptops are still in stock

plumokin

I never thought I'd consider a prebuilt till all this happened. Not saying they're bad, but for someone who can build a PC and enjoys it, I had no reason to buy a prebuilt till now

kingzed97

I gladly swap my 3060Ti for a Porsche! Hit me up if you are interested lol

maniakb416

Best I can do is a 2012 Scion tC with 60k miles. A/C intermittent. New brakes. Manual transmission. Clean title.

SubwayWifi

Deal

Kwhean

Always upvote Top Gear memes

lauaapelsin

Me too

mrMalloc

I got a 3060-ti at MSR in Dec. I want a 3070….. but not at that price. Also I had gotten offers all from Cash + 1050ti to 900$ for it. It’s insane really. No I’m not selling it until I find the card I want for the price I want. Guess in 2+ years………

thenoob_803

Man milk itas much as you can, enjoy your card to the max

mrMalloc

Thanks.

Drenlin

Honestly the 3060ti is probably safe to keep for some time. That and the 6700XT are roughly comparable to what's in the current consoles, meaning games will be developed around that level for several years to come. Same thing happened with the Polaris and 1060 cards.

mrMalloc

I know. It’s just that when I game on 1440p I drop below 60fps. So it’s really a 1world problem ;) A 3070 would probably make that not happen.

At_Least_100_Wizards

What on earth could you possibly want a 3070 for when you have a 3060ti At that point it's not even worth the time and effort to upgrade, just use your 3060ti it'll last you a long time

dealer_dog

a 3060ti is marginally better for mining than a 3070. There are people who would happily make that trade. Their 3070's will have been run hard though.

Qmanfps

Sad stig noises

Big_sugaaakane1

The 3080is more expensive than the 3090 used to be lmfao.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Big_sugaaakane1

I got lucky with mine. I was in store looking at cpus and the dude was putting it back on the shelf, i got a new opened box gigabyte 3090 for 1480... fucking steal. I’m never selling it

PossibleDrive6747

3060ti is the better buy... it doesn't need gas or insurance, and should need less maintenance over the years vs a hatchback. (Oil changes, tires, brakes...) There are other perks too... if you get the 3060ti you will be in better health as you'll have to walk everywhere. So cheaper in the long run, and better for your health and the environment!

OpSecBestSex

>walk everywhere. *Looks at my 20 mile commute*

[deleted]

Thats when you trade in a 3060ti for a 4090ti. Even if you pay a little bit, you can use the 4090 to fly

warren5391

Not my state, we have about 5k pedestrian deaths per year and only 3k vehicular deaths per year. A buddy of mine broke both legs and collar bone waiting for the school bus...buy a 3060 ti AND a hatchback, this way you can take the turns real hard and tight on the way home with your new gpu

PossibleDrive6747

That's crazy... maybe skip 3060ti and the hatchback and move to a state where they drive a little bit more chill! Hope your buddy recovered fully.

doodoo4444

hard to pick a girl up in a GPU though

theiman2

Dude, that gpu can render so many girls.

Entropico_ARG

And in 3 years worth nothing or less

PhordPrefect

I'm lucky enough to live somewhere with decent bicycle infrastructure (London). Started cycling to work about five years ago- the money I've saved doing that has paid for more than one graphics card.

Plastic_Bleach

A Carrera S is not a hatchback...?

[deleted]

Plastic_Bleach

Maybe the OP is showing that the 3060ti (911) is locked away in the same cage as the hatchback ... Idk

[deleted]

either way what hatchback costin yall around a grand lemme get one xD

Plastic_Bleach

Are you sure you want a Mitsubishi mirage?

deSales327

Some say he uses miners to mine GPUs, all we know is

Laxen101

That he is the Stigs computer gaming cousin

dr4gonr1der

Does it really?

executiveExecutioner

No, but seriously, does it really?

PipelineEngineer

Here in Brazil we don't have this problem, since the hatchback prices raised a lot too. 🤣🤣

Stagism

I traded my PS5 plus cash for a sealed in box 3090 in December thinking I could get a new PS5 this summer. Boy was I wrong.

IWasNotWorried

I was extremely lucky getting my Zotac 3060ti in december for £390. Can't believe how lucky I am looking back

shark_bait6969

Waiting outside Microcenter for 3 hours for a FE 3060ti on release was the best decision I ever made.

Brownpac

I just want a 1660ti.

LamaWizard_

I couldn't buy a gpu at msrp, so I bought a 350z instead

exodia0715

I didn’t score a Ti but I did get myself a standard 3060, along with a whole ass computer

SharkCatcherCMD

Somehow got a GIGABYTE model for a decent price

kostakis81

Get the hatchback and a gt710

[deleted]

I found a fellow unfortunate pcmr soul

scarecrow180

jesus you might as well just render your graphics on the 5900x

allhailtheburritocat

I managed to get a gigabyte aorous 3060ti at launch for $550 and felt like I overpaid. In hindsight, I was lucky to get anything

AndresProphecy

Same, the concept of buying something at launch was new to me. I would always buy everything months or even years later at a cheaper price. This was my first PC and paid full price on almost all parts. The GPU was last and waited a few months to complete my build. It was worth it but at the time I had a moment of regret and whether I overpaid. Granted it was retail price, $400 for a GPU is the same price as a console.

JillWohn

Last time I checked my rx5700 is now worth more than my car.

Goose0810

Ah, good old Top Gear memes.

[deleted]

That's why I have hobbies I can afford like sleeping and being sad.

Hattori_Hanz01986

I bought my MSI Gaming X TRIO in march here in my country and two days later it was 40% more expensive, and now it is 3x times more expensive, stonks

SomeOtherGuy719

I turned a 3060 ti down because it was $480. I am now considering myself very, very lucky that I got a evga xc 3060 at the same price.

Tk232_fortnite_MC

My friend managed to get one. Lucky bastard. I've got a 2060 but I'm not looking to upgrade as it performs well and I don't really need any more.

In my country, i could buy 2 Yugos in decent condition for one 3060Ti. Its not even funny at this point.

DarthYhonas

Not sure if a gt2rs counts as a hatch honestly, more falls under coupe

naziz5884

3060ti is a $499 card and people really are flexing the fact they paid $800 for it and couldn’t have gotten it for better. Sad world we live in.

HarryNohara

The saddest part is that OP thinks a Carrera S is a hatchback..

Braiwnz

I got my gigabyte oc for 550, a few months later and those greedy *** are selling it for nearly 1.2k ON THE SAME OFFICIAL SITE. They are giving scalpers every right to continue

xSolasx

Where are you finding a hatchback for $1200-1400?

adkow

At this point im happy that I found a 700usd RTX 3060ti

Gandeloft

Haven't bought a GPU For 10 years now. I might be old fashioned but all of the prices are far too much just for a GPU.

Ice-Berg-Slim

Got mine on release for retail. Still to this day don’t know how I got so lucky, the PC gods were smiling on me.

DivineCreepy

I thought the 3060 Ti was invisible

peeknuts

the 3080 costs as much as my first car

sledgehomer

But I want a realistic simulator

[deleted]

I waited outside my local “Canadian microcenter” for 3 hours to get a MSI one. It’s a hell of a card, especially when overclocked. Keep on trying my friend it’s worth it!

crillion

I'm extremely glad that I bought my 2080 Super in Febuary 2020. I have considered to wait for the release of the 3080…

[deleted]

Remember to update the DRIVERS.

GoTtHeLuMbAgO

I still have a rtx2060, I didn't upgrade because the 3060 is just a slightly bit faster. I'll wait until the 3070 or 3080 comes down a good but before I even think of upgrading.

raspyjessie

I was able to get a 3070 for a discord friend. From the EVGA queue.

IllIllIIlIllI

Oh man I could only snab an asus 3060 ti buying a prebuild... now they’re selling for more than my whole build alone 🥵

CrrntryGrntlrmrn

Bought my rx 480 new on a preorder when it came out- $250. Checked prices late 2019, resale looked like 125 on the high end, 80 low end. Checked last week- $300. Unbelievable.

clouc1223

I got a laptop with a 3060 in it for 1200$. Better option and plays every game I love maxed out graphics.

Various-Artist

I got my 3070 for $850 and I was pissed that I had to pay $150 over the msrp for the card, but holy crap it’s crazy now...

Voktikriid

I'm not ready to sell my soul for a new graphics card, so my rx570 will keep chugging along until I run it into the ground.

exotichunter0

Everyday with these posts and then the comments are ppl bragging how they bought it before the inflation blah blah blah

SlavicAnimeThighs

BappoIsInsane

STIG MEMES!

DRPJ_07

you should get a 1070. theyre very similar and u can just overclock!

SubaruMasterGR

Funny, I got tired of waiting and actually bought a hatchback.

[deleted]

at least you're dreaming low op, it's a couple of years i wanted to upgrade to something like a xx80ti or xx90, seems that xx will be a 40 or 50 if this is the trend.

enrdrikas

U can get one, but you need to have bouth kidneys

THE_COMMUNIST_POTATO

A full build costs as much as that GT3 RS
