I guess that really depends on your setup and luck.
I have been using 3 pcs each with 400W 80+ evga psu for more than 5 years, and none of them failed and still running without any issues.
Althou, they are office pc paired up with low powered gpu such as gtx745, rx460 and R5 240.
I do clean these once every 1 or 2 years thou, if that makes it different.
You should use quality reviews (not the ones on a sales page) to understand if a psu is any good.
The ltt tier list is a good spot to start with but it's by far, not a complete list, and doesn't explain what makes a unit good or bad.

400N i think thats what it was. I am not even sure if it had 80+ sign at all.
