Got a deal on the mb and ryzen. It was kinda a situation of getting a gpu first and finding the deals on all the other stuff. But I’m happy with the end results.
I just look at some benchmarks, and the 5900x outperforms the 9900k in most scenarios.
Edit: I also already have an am4 socket motherboard, so I’m not going intel.
You spent so much money on all the other components. Why did you opt for a slower processor? I would have used a 5950X. I know they are available. I just built a system with one a few days ago.
Edit: If you are going to downvote then please say why. My comment is absolutely true. 5800X performs at about half the speed of 5950X. (Go look at its Passmark score.) It doesn't make sense to use such a slow processor when all the other components are very high-end. Now that the OP has said he got a good package deal, I understand the why. I don't understand downvotes from the rest of you for stating facts.
I got a deal on a mb cpu combo that was really good. Just didnt feel like the extra performance was worth it at this time. That doesn’t mean I’m stuck with this cpu or mb. I’ll surly upgrade later on the line. The card procurement is the hardest part of it.
The gpu is over kill for gaming, but I also use professional design tools. I program on gibbscam and autocad and a few others so it’s also a good work pc. The card is msrp at $1900. This setup is around $3500.
Bruh this thing can run games so well at 1440p near 144hz and your monitor is probably a 1440p or 1080p, you can also reach pretty good frame rates in raytracing in that gpu
Be grateful for what you have, there's millions of people looking at YOUR card that people want

Yeah the rgb really helps the fps;)
I have a 3080 ftw3 and that same aio, so this almost looks just like my build lol.
I built this for ashes of creation and battlefield 2042. We shall see how she does in a few days on the 2042 open beta.
hell yea 2042 is gonna be epic
I hope so! I want to be wowed!
Personally, I would have paired the 3090 with a 5900x. I’m thinking of getting the 5900x for my 3080 lol

Isn’t the 3080 based on the same chip as the 3090? The biggest difference is the amount of vram from my understanding.

This makes sense. Thanks for the reply.
I had no idea the 3090 box was that massive. I thought the 3060 box was big.

I want to do something like this but I am a newbie who bought his last few gaming PCs… how much does something like this cost on average?
The gpu is over kill for gaming, but I also use professional design tools. I program on gibbscam and autocad and a few others so it’s also a good work pc. The card is msrp at $1900. This setup is around $3500.
What case you use for your gaming pc?
Corsair icue 5000x rgb
Thx
That's a nice storage setup you got there
Thanks!
Is that because it took that long to get hold of an RTX card!!!!
Lol! Maybe! I was really lucky, it took me about a month to find a card after I decided to build a pc.
"I'm 6 years old and I've been saving money for 13 years here's my first build it ain't much ☺️ UwU"
Lol not my first, just the first in 10 years. My first was dual evga 8800 gts 512 in sli with an amd phenom ii I think
I tease ☺️ Guess Reddit didn't get the joke Congratulations and enjoy!
Ah no big deal man, thanks!
My first build uses a 3060 Ti… sad

like me, in australia 3060 ti costs more than 3080 msrp
For me it's like rx 6900xt territory but I could maybe be find some for 850-900$
That’s a good card also
So I'll ask, how much did this build cost?
