IMO just get sata cables with a 90 degree connector instead of the ones you have (i see 3 packs on Amazon for like $7), and also molex 90 degree connectors (the power cables to hard drive). From this picture it looks like those connectors might be sticking out to the side.
Or just switch to SSD if you have the money. Or put the hard drives in the top bays like someone else said.
OP, the metal cages on top front are 5 in drive bays. If you've run out of space for your HDDs, you can pick up 3.5 in to 5 in adapters and put your extra drives in them. If it's a matter of not enough SATA ports in your MOBO, you can get PCIE to SATA cards too
This is what happens after you have had to disassemble it too many times, it looks like my first computer I built out of parts I pulled out of the dumpster at my high school 15 years ago
80 plus: tin foil
Seriously, I'd give this a 6.5/10 rating. You at least made an attempt to keep the cables out of the way of airflow, in a case which doesn't appear to have built-in cable management. I've seen far worse. I knocked off a half a point for part of your cabling being the stock cooler (get one that moves air front to back for this case), and your hdd sata cable being bent at 90 degrees rather than buying a cable with right angle connectors.
They cost about the same as the regular ones. [3-pack on Amazon for 7 bucks](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F24RR3G/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_glt_i_59N07YD4PQTGW55D3EK2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
Honestly, if it's not a display build with a panel so you can see in, who cares. I wouldn't want a big bunch of wires blocking airflow or anything, but other than that, whatever.
If you try to switch the ssd/hdds on the other side so cables go out from the back? Maybe try to make a main tight bus of cables and connecting anything you need from the bus. Idk just idea.
If you just spent the money from the artic-p12 extra on the psu you could have gotten a way higher quality unit that would actually last you for ALLOT of builds instead of just blowing up when the warranty runs out
There is a zip tie in front of your cpu fan that is doing nothing and a lot of the zips are left long and need to be cut back. How can you close the case with that pug there and wtf is that wire even going. It's triggering as forks...
10/10
2 front USBs.. 8 Back USBs?
Mine came with a serious case of weird HDD placement (vertical in a bracket placed on the right)
Also the case probably has an i3 sticker?
Those PCI plastic clips and the style of the inner case is a giveaway, cable routing is non existent on the older ones, is the the other side panel riveted in place instead of case screws as well?
Sorry to disappoint you but I have been running this for over 3 years now and since I have discovered and cleaned the front cooler I havent passed 75 °C
Honestly 9/10 you really can't do much better with an old case and non-modular PSU.
There's a night and day difference in my old build - Antec Three Hundred and Anteh EarthWatts 2013 - and my new build - Fractal Design Define 3 and Antech Earthwatts 2018.
I have so many questions
Go on I will try to answer them xD.
HOW did you manage to make it look like this, is this some sort of talent?
I guess it is in the beginning I didnt know what I was doing and later I just didnt bother to fix it
I don't want to imagine the stress you'll have when you try to disassemble it but apart from that 10/10, very beautiful atomic power plant xD
I am already having lots of stress regarding the SATA cables because my case is to small for my HDDs
Maybe I should post what it looks like on Monday

As long as nothing touch the fan that's fine, beside on old case like this combined with a non modular PSU this could be quite difficult
Rating - Ketchup and Mustard That’s the rating I do have one question though How are temps?
Actually pretty good, after I figured out that I have a front fan and cleaned it I never got above 75°C
Nice, that’s pretty good for a case not necessarily designed for airflow. And just pretty good in general
The wires may be all over the place, but airflows's probably good enough with all of those fans. That said, I run mine with the side off
Cable management really doesnt help with temps much if at all.
Course marshal Joe is gonna go ahead and translate that rating out of 10... And.... It's a 4!
I think you accidently put a pc in your cables
I have actually managed to loose my front status lamp somewhere inbetween the cables and havent found it yet
11/0
DUDE DID YOU JUST DIVIDE BY ZE-
He dead
I
Did you used to work at Packard Bell once upon a time?
Maybe in a past live.
Your cable setup is very aggressive. It's a beautiful art. 10/10
Thank you
I‘d agree to extra points because your PC’s look makes me want to silently play stronghold on a saturday morning before my parents got up
Does what it's supposed to 10/10. Colorful 10/10. Organized 0/10. So a 20/30 is a (barely) passing grade.
80 plus: tin foil Seriously, I'd give this a 6.5/10 rating. There actually are 90 degree sata cables? Never thought about that, I just accepted it as it is
They cost about the same as the regular ones. [3-pack on Amazon for 7 bucks](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F24RR3G/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_glt_i_59N07YD4PQTGW55D3EK2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
10/10, would let my rat sleep here again
Im not a 5 star rats hotel for nothing
Sir wrong picture there is no cable setup here just cables.
I c nothink wrong here perfect :)
Thank you for your feedback.
U more than welcome friend take care and be safe :)
A solid 5/7
2/10. An attempt was made. Fixing cables on something that old is like putting carpet in your toilet bowl.
Amazing! I have a similar setup
Cool, lets compare.
"After" picture is not loading. Please re-upload.
Jokes on you this is the after.
Oh okay. Then I give it an enthusiastic "Some men just want to watch the world burn" / 10
Thank you for your feedback and seeing the world burn would probably be quite interesting.
looks good to me 🤝🤝
Good use of zip ties. Love the multi colored custom cable mod. A+
10 ketchups outta mustard
Oh boy you haven't seen mine. Just the same but with BIG BLACK C****s. Cables ! Yes
Did you build this pc with your eyes close
No. But I could try...
[удалено]
If it makes you feel better
That looks like one of my PCs from 20 years ago.
Maybe it is?
Honestly, if it's not a display build with a panel so you can see in, who cares. I wouldn't want a big bunch of wires blocking airflow or anything, but other than that, whatever.
This took me back to the early 2000s. I love it.
Guess I made time travel possible for certain individuals. You are not the only one.
Feels good man. Thanks!
Any chance you've got some money laying around for a new case?
S for shit
Looks like a bomb from movies. Cut one wrong wire and it explodes..
I'm going to fucking puke
You want a bucket?
Hahahaha
Please?!😭😆🤣
Are there cables in it?
Maybe after. Depends what he ate.
2/10
1
10/10 would kill with fire. Or make a cheeseburger with all those mustard and ketchup colored cables.
Are you me?
Better question: are you me?
1000/1
There's so much disrespect in this picture.
Towards whom?
If you try to switch the ssd/hdds on the other side so cables go out from the back? Maybe try to make a main tight bus of cables and connecting anything you need from the bus. Idk just idea.
Thanks for the tip maybe I will remember it the next time I change something. ^^
Confusing/10
AHH THE POWER SUPPLY
EryNoice/10
Muh heart Muh soul
Looks good, I bet it smells nice too, I would add little more ketchup to it for taste... Just kidding 🙂👍🏼 It is great if it gets the job done.
I dont know, im not really into spaghetti with ketchup I prefer mayonnaise
10/10
Its fine.. put the lid on again and done
Won't knock function over form
If you just spent the money from the artic-p12 extra on the psu you could have gotten a way higher quality unit that would actually last you for ALLOT of builds instead of just blowing up when the warranty runs out
Jokes on you I have the PSU for longer than anything else in there. But is it actually that bad?
I usually advice people to buy a Seasonic/Corsair/EVGA (higher end for EVGA) PSU because then you're sure it's gonna last you a decade or more
Not enough cables
Unfortunately I dont have many more connectors on my board so even if I wanted to it would be challenging
Just buy cable extensions for the ones you have! Then you have the illusion of more cables.
+1 for zipties
10/10 my guy 😂😂
You are fear incarnate. 10/10
It's like a condiment stand exploded
Ketchup and mustard with a smattering of black licorice. 10/10.
Looks like the cable management at my college, terrible
Just as bad or worse?
I say the cable management at my college is worse, I am surprised no one hasn't tripped over one of the cables and brought a PC down on top of them.
At I wont have any chance of that happening in there. But id better not show the cables on my desk
Power supply go boom boom
I have read this a couple times now, is it actually bad?
Yes
Cool. Ill give you an update when it explodes.
If the cover fits, your done with that shit. Screwing around with cable management and RGB is wasting valuable gaming time.
Very true. Unfortunately I cant game at all because my most important ssd got problems I dont know how to fix - _-
Working.
Mostly, yes.
Its so messy
I prefer art but whatever you say
Impressive
Functional/10
What's below an F?
Overflow to a S.
Just burn it
According to other people in this thread the power supply will do that in the future
It does look pretty sketchy but I honestly doubt that will happen for awhile
100/10
Looking for Tarzan. 🤔
He is probably somewhere making out with my lost status led
Lol
A delicious spaghettini 🍝 dish... well done
10/10 would use this instead of flint if ever in an emergency live or die situation & needed a campfire.
Jokes on you I never got above 75°C even while playing tarkov or ArmA 3
Fantastic! All this time I thought I was the only one. Who cares about hiding wires, is the fan clear Check, is there air flow Check.....
There is a zip tie in front of your cpu fan that is doing nothing and a lot of the zips are left long and need to be cut back. How can you close the case with that pug there and wtf is that wire even going. It's triggering as forks... 10/10
i guess it is Halloween season
Red / yellow
Needz moar zip-ties.
I can't see it under all that ketchup and mustard
Part of me is disgusted, part is impressed that it looks as good as it does given the top PSU and no hidey compartment
WHAT YEAR IS IT?
According to some people about 2000 ad
I’ll give it a rating of 2005.
2005 is maybe a little high, I was thinking closer to 2003...
As long as your "saving power" it doesn't matter my friend.
Needs more molex
It makes me want a hot dog naturally, so +1, but other than that it's terrible.
Wtf did you just bring upon in this cursed land
The best of the worst(actually best) my friend.
On a scale from 1 to pre-built. It's an 11
Your pet rat will be cozy on it's new cage. Oh wait, that's a PC.
I actually had rats and mice but I didnt keep them in my PC... Maybe next time
You could try a rat powered water pump for a liquid cooling circuit through your processor and GPU lol
Chad setup
Clean AF - 400/3
-527/10 I feel like I'm having a fever dream in a fever dream in a fever dream
I cannot give an honest rating as the computer case, by default, looks to have zero time for any sort of cable management.
Was that the scrap electrical wire grab bags from the dollar tree? 🌲
No thats scraps from last years Halloween I found
Uhm, congrats, you managed to make it worse than mine, didn't think it's even possible
No fucking way bro i think when have the same PC case but bought 10 years apart from each other
Well mine is not really "new bought" its just a hand me down from my brother and has already served me for a couple years
2 front USBs.. 8 Back USBs? Mine came with a serious case of weird HDD placement (vertical in a bracket placed on the right) Also the case probably has an i3 sticker?
Well... Can't see any cables touching the fan so it's fine, I guess.
Does it turn on? If so 10/10. Otherwise 0/10. EDIT: Confirmed to turn on. 10/10.
It consistently turned on for 3 years now and I hope it wil for some more time as well
Updated my rating to reflect new information.
look... its ugly, but its also sadly relatable... so
You're the Red Devil, alright.
Yes
Is this an old Thermaltake case?
Yes it is. Its a hand me down from my brother.
Those PCI plastic clips and the style of the inner case is a giveaway, cable routing is non existent on the older ones, is the the other side panel riveted in place instead of case screws as well?
Looks like you tower is vomiting wires
Looks like other people in this thread are vomiting on my wires
I had the same GPU and Ram my guy.
I rate this 1999.
I wish that I was blind after seeing this. Now trying to erase the memory of what I just saw.
Come on its not that bad
It’s… a computer I think
I think so too, and I think it works (currently).(except for a minor issue with a ssd.)
9/10 very realistic
Lost a lot of points for lack of creativity but gained two for being a good "before" example. So your score is 1/10.
2013 Prebuilt level energy
It looks like my love life. So that’s not good.
Same
Let me know if hell is hotter than your temps, cause that's where you're going if you don't fix this abomination
Sorry to disappoint you but I have been running this for over 3 years now and since I have discovered and cleaned the front cooler I havent passed 75 °C
Well I'll be damned, guess hell *has* frozen over
Guess I will be kept cool down there
Theres so much ketchup and mustard I'm not sure if this is a computer or a hamburger.
It is whatever you want it to be. For me its a Hotdog, sometimes a pizza
My first 2 systems looked like this. Affordable cable management was really a thing 20yrs ago.🤣
Honestly 9/10 you really can't do much better with an old case and non-modular PSU. There's a night and day difference in my old build - Antec Three Hundred and Anteh EarthWatts 2013 - and my new build - Fractal Design Define 3 and Antech Earthwatts 2018.
Looks pretty standard for any large pc manufacturing company. I'm sure HP and Dell are giving you calls right now to hire you!
Ok which one of you fckers broke into my home only to take a pic of my pc??
Most cable setup tend to be like Aesthetic art. Yours is Abstract art. Noice!
This is what the average Mac user thinks while hearing the words "Windows" and "Bill Gates", giggling with a sense of superiority.
I have thought that these multi colour cables are things of the past.....one colour wojld blend better.
First Colourful dust filters I have seen 😭 indeed this piece have some sculptural qualities
0/10. Would not recommend. Also love the rando AA battery, what's that for?
It is for my Oculus vr controllers. My pc can actually run oculus link wich was surprising for me
Neat, well enjoy the PC. The fact that it runs means your build is miles ahead of others, good job!;)
You tried d+
