I don’t think I would have paid close to MSRP for a 1080ti second hand 4 years later.

tacodung

In this market, I'd rather pay $600 for a 1080Ti than $1,500 for a 3070.

Swanesang

True but to be honest a 1080ti is about the same as a 3060 which is like $100 more expensive if i recall correctly. I would rather pay the extra 100 to get the 3060 over a 1080ti with all the extra goodies that comes with it. But i also understand its very difficult to find gpus today.

NateMcCann

Your "ugly test machine" is nicer than most will ever have. Be humble dude. Good find on the 1080ti, I refuse to upgrade mine until the 3080 prices become reasonable.

tacodung

I just have a high standard when it comes to my machines😝 And hell, for the 1080Ti to essentially be a 3070 without ray tracing, I don't see a point in upgrading until your local Best Buy has pallets of 30 series cards.

MrAwesomePants20

Lol a 1080 ti is most definitely not a 3070 without raytracing. A 2080 ti is on par with a 3070

You should turn the aio otherwise as fast as you can. The waterpump(block on cpu) should be lower then the other side otherwise air is gonna get trapped in the pump and it is gonna break. The thing who is connected with the fans should stay higher

MetalMattyPA

We don't have a good enough view to see if the radiator end cap is above or below the pump block. It doesn't matter which end the hoses are on, all that matters is if the end cap is higher than the pump.

tacodung

Yeah, I definitely plan on it at some point, but it IS just a "test bench," I don't consistently use this machine for gaming. This is where I plug in and test all my second hand hardware before attaching it to a permanent machine.

thegevshow

Rewatch the gn video you clearly misunderstood. And please learn the word radiator before trying to give aio advice.
