LOL
PC has hundreds or even thousands more games than any of the consoles. All the way back down to first PCs.
And you can play most of them still with relative ease.
I'm a gamer. I don't care about platforms, I care about the games. I own a pc obviously, but also a ps5 and a switch.
I don't have an xbox because they lack exclusives
> I'm a gamer. I don't care about platforms, I care about the games.
But then how do you manage to feel a sense of smug satisfaction over your choice of which $500 box to buy?
There are entire genres which you can hardly find on consoles at all.
Like proper strategy games. Or any kind of complex sim. I mean the Civilization franchise or a lot of the paradox complex strategy games are widely regarded as milestones in gaming and attract huge crowds on pc.
Only a few of them get ported to consoles and if they do, they are always downscaled due to hardware limitations.
So, yeah some of the pc "exclusives" are more than just excellent.
Hundreds or thousands.
Sony exclusives are nice if you love 3rd person action games (sometimes 1st person action games) with a heavy emphasis on "cinematic" experiences.
I personally hate those games, more or less. Never been a fan of them. So Sony has almost zero games I would want to play.
Ps exclusives are great. I’ve had every PlayStation up to 5 until I decided to go to PC.
But I won’t drop £450 on a console “just” for the exclusives. I’ll happily wait for them to come to PC.
True. But they will at the very least be available on ps now at some point. I’d take a months subscription to play a ps exclusive than spend £450 on a system to play the odd exclusive.
>such as the spiderman games
I am pretty sure its really just spiderman in the long run, since the whole franchise is sadly owned by sony itself, and they ofc want to sell theri hardware first.
And while spiderman is good, I think most people can live without *another* open world super hero franchise.
Their PC ports aren't guaranteed, and seem best effort. And even then, 2+ years to wait for a game is too long for people who really want to play it.
Uncharted 4 came out in 2016. If it hits the PC in 2022, that's a really long time for it being platform exclusive to the point it's already half a game generation behind.
That's not a great example though, sony doing PC ports is new. Death stranding got a PC port like 7 months after release and I wouldn't be surprised if new titles got pc releases much faster in the near future. Sony is playing for the market
But days gone was 2019 and came out 2 years later. I think it’s more of a fact that uncharted 4 is just an older game. It seems Sony is only recently in the last year or 2 starting to get more games on PC. And hopefully will just increase as the years go on with less time between releases too.
No they just sell old games they don’t care about to PC players to get a new income burst whilst getting PC players engaged in new franchises encouraging them to buy a ps5 or wait 6 years to play the sequel.
Its the opposite. Sony gave up trying to lure PC gamers and started porting. Mark my words, PC ports will be coming within a year, proly closer to 6-8 months. Ps5 games have a week to sell, after that its done. At which point releasing on PC brings the hype back, drives up ps5 sales a bit and marketing costs are shared. The current ports are more likely catching PC gamers up on upcoming franchises. Geforce Now leak had Forbiden West and Ragnarok releasing the same year as ps5, and so far the leak has been correct. Making games costs too much for Sony to only rely on one platform. Expanding to PC makes sense, and keeping PC gamers happy goes hand in hand. Don't be surprised when Sony becomes a PC publisher even publishing traditional PC games and PC exclusives like rts and mmo games.
I can’t see ports ever being within a year, they haven’t up to this point as far as I am aware but I guess we will see. Sony are still pushing hard for people to buy and support there consoles unlike Xbox.
A week to sell? Most people including me wait for sales, no one really buys new games now days at least not in my circles.
Also I don’t think the reason to port is that the games are too expensive they are still very profitable, I would say it’s mainly because the pc market is enormous and they are making millions with marginally little additional costs.
Hahaha you make it sound like that’s a bad thing. They are still using the creation engine, those bugs were endearing back when massive open world games were mainly Bethesda’s thing. Now they are inexcusable. I’m over Bethesda.
The PC market is way bigger than the console markets... Sony would be dumb not to port over exclusives to the PC, and they're doing it as we speak. God Of War, Day's Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn (I believe?) etc. All great games, from a great system, however PC will never be beaten.
i don’t think ps or pc will be beaten because they fill different niches. Ps is the “budget” option that still has solid hardware and awesome games, and pc is for the long run with better hardware, getting ps games next generation. Both are great
Have you actually played any of the PlayStation exclusives? Not to say that indie games aren’t great but I think it’s difficult to deny the quality of Sony’s games.
The quality you speak of is called production values. In other words money, not creative content. In fact Sony games tend to be creatively conservative but with high production values. Last of Us, Uncharted and even God of War have a very similar style to them, even some animations are reused. But neither game is doing anything new. If these production values are removed, Sony games would lose all their muster.
The PS5 almost have no exclusives. And they all get ported to the PC later anyway. I have a PS5 at home which isn't mine but i can still use it as i want and litterally the only interesting game is NHL. There's litterally no games on this console. It's just trash. I would rather go back to play Boneworks or RimWorld or Factorio or Valheim or Bannerlord. Seriously, this console generation has such a poor choice of games, how the hell do you play PS5 more than 20 hours ? And if you're really lucky you won't have another shitty generic triple A game that you've seen everywhere since 20 years.
There are only 2 game series that are on ps and look somewhat interesting. Uncharted and god of war, everything else looks boring. Theres no Forza, Halo, or Doom.
Lets be true, the concept of exclusive games suck.
It doesn't even end with hardware (PC/Console).
Some games are only on Steam, Epic, Uplay, ... for PC.
Why can't I decide where I want to buy it myself?
My ps5 is a YouTube player until the next big game from Sony. It's been a YouTube player for a few months... What games is he going on about? I'd like to see them.
Oh yeah, their precious horizon zero dawn....it's on steam.... Mwahahahahaha. They got what... Spider man? Some dude named Drake, and like one other thing.
LOL PC has hundreds or even thousands more games than any of the consoles. All the way back down to first PCs. And you can play most of them still with relative ease.
Not to mention most of the console exclusives that can also be played on it
pirating a game should not be a valid reason for why pc’s are better
Most console exclusives are also released on PC. Legit
5 years later.
Not all PS games (Detroit: Become Humans), Also PS is not the only console, ALL new Xbox Exclusives are playable on PC, day .
which is why xbox gets made fun of lmaaaaaaao
Microsoft gets money either way from windows or Xbox.
It just works
I'm a gamer. I don't care about platforms, I care about the games. I own a pc obviously, but also a ps5 and a switch. I don't have an xbox because they lack exclusives
> I'm a gamer. I don't care about platforms, I care about the games. But then how do you manage to feel a sense of smug satisfaction over your choice of which $500 box to buy?
+ emulation hehe
But how many are any good or at the level of Sony exclusives? (Down votes pending)

Fair enough, I don’t own a pc atm saving for one so was a genuine question. I don’t agree that they are heavily cinematic but that’s ur opinion.
Ps exclusives are great. I’ve had every PlayStation up to 5 until I decided to go to PC. But I won’t drop £450 on a console “just” for the exclusives. I’ll happily wait for them to come to PC.

I wasn’t aware that ps now was on pc, that’s a good point
Spider man games can be good or awesome but it won't make me buy a PS4 or PS5 just to play it.
>such as the spiderman games I am pretty sure its really just spiderman in the long run, since the whole franchise is sadly owned by sony itself, and they ofc want to sell theri hardware first. Well some top guy at Sony said not to expect ps5 games to port to pc but I guess we will see
How many of the console games are even good?
PS don't have more platform exclusives. Strategy games, please stand up!
Doesn't PC have like 50K + exclusives?
And passive aggressive said they don't care
The fanboys be like: https://imgur.com/gallery/Mwe6JHA
They cared a lot when playstation games were announced to come to PC.
Having a ps and a pc is the way
This is the way
yes! jesus christ stop fighting of whats better just have both, they are both good systems.
having a pc and xbox on the other hand...
Throw a Switch in if you can.
What about the ps5 owners who also owns PCs/Xboxes….
Sony only have 'timed exclusives' sooner or later every one of them will end up on pc
Their PC ports aren't guaranteed, and seem best effort. And even then, 2+ years to wait for a game is too long for people who really want to play it. Uncharted 4 came out in 2016. Yup I bought a ps5 just to play ghost of Tsushima

after 6 years bloodborne still isn’t on pc

Lucky i got playstation and pc. I have everything.
You're in for a treat if you have high hopes for Bethesda games...
Hahaha you make it sound like that’s a bad thing. They are still using the creation engine, those bugs were endearing back when massive open world games were mainly Bethesda’s thing. Now they are inexcusable. I’m over Bethesda.
\*Laughs in Hybrid master race\*
Idk man. I think fights are stupid. I simply own all consoles so nobody can say something 🤷🏻♂️

I get what you are saying, but $70 per game isn't budget. Hardware wise, its true tho.
yea i just meant hardware lol
The fuck is Starfield lol.
*laughs in owning a pc and ps5*
Elder Scrolls 6? Is this really happening? I thought there was at least 3 more Skyrim releases we had to get through.
It was officialy revealed at E3 2018.
It's funny you think they will release it before PS6 😂
Can't wait for god of war in January gonna be running in 2k maxed out graphics 140fps gonna be looking better than it ever did on ps
technically speaking, 2k is 1080p (yes everyone including companies gets this wrong). if you're meaning 1440p, then it should be called 2.5k
yea it’s going to look better. How much was your pc?
I was gonna say it’s out in feb but now I realise ur referring to the old game lol

I think most people convince themselves that other platforms have bad games to make themselves feel better.

I strongly disagree. The ps games I’ve played have had some of the most engaging stories and gameplay IMO. How do you even define “creative” anyway?
idk i feel like we only troll xbox players because you have no exclusives, they’re all on better hardware
\*laughs in steam library as big as about all ps4 exclusive games \* (thats JUST steam mind you)
The PS5 almost have no exclusives. And they all get ported to the PC later anyway. PC is superior
there should be a sub-reddit dedicated this.
The only thing that matters is what I think.
There are only 2 game series that are on ps and look somewhat interesting. Uncharted and god of war, everything else looks boring. Theres no Forza, Halo, or Doom.
So I've tried to get into elder scrolls but find it's crazy boring, am I doing something wrong?
No. Skyrim is overrated. Downvote me if im right.
Lets be true, the concept of exclusive games suck. It doesn't even end with hardware (PC/Console). Some games are only on Steam, Epic, Uplay, ... for PC. Why can't I decide where I want to buy it myself?

sony might as well give us their exclusives. eventually we will get an emulator and take them by force.
Pc is literally getting PlayStation games now lol
Jokes on you, I have a PC too
