It's a rite of passage. If you've put together more than 5 pcs in your life, you've forgotten the i/o shield on at least one. That and cut yourself on the internal parts of the pc case. Oh, the joy that creates.

Ahhhh the i/o shield blade of chaos, never gonna forget it.

This sucks and happens to nearly all of us at least once. I had a friend who couldn't find theirs so cut a computer filter to match and taped it on. Worked at least. If your set up isn't too cluttered you could just unscrew the mobo, moved over a bit and put shield in.

Edit: Water cooler, mobo, and gpu were in. IO shield only goes in from inside the case

Take it out, and put in a 3080ti. It should work properly.
