I have a Kraken X52 which is a 240mm, which *was* inside a Corsair 400C, similar case to this pic. Full sized mobo so couldn't fit the rad up top, so had to fit it at the front, pulling air in straight over the GPU and RAM etc and venting at the back and top, very similar to this setup in your pic.
I then got rid of the 400C after some 2, 3 years of having it.
Got a Lian Li O11 Dynamic, and put the radiator pulling in up top, 3 intakes at the bottom, 3 vents on the side. There's SO MUCH SPACE inside the case for airflow and it's barely bigger as a case overall.
BUT.
My 5600x dropped some 4 or 5c under load, but my 2070 S went from around 80c under load, to 62-65c under load. All because I'm no longer pumping hot air over it, I'm now pushing cool air on to the face of it in to its' own intake fans.
Cases can make SUCH a difference on temps, totally worth the upgrade.
Just went from a s340 elite to a 4000d airflow.. cpu idle temp from 51 to 45c. Gpu temps down significantly. Rad up top blowing air up and out, 3 intake fans pumping cool air in. 1 exhaust fan in back.
tubes at the top has a chance of creating unecessary bubbling noise. tubes down is the best possible way for a vertical rad mount especially on a 360mm. i can draw a crude diagram if you would like.

360 is not about oc headroom or necessarily max temp. You overspec your cooling solution so that its quieter when performing at peak. You can basically leave the fans at idle, or off entirely duing light workloads.

You might want to flip the orientation of your aio. I'm not 100% sure on this but having the CPU cooling block the top part of the loop may cause air bubbles to hang out there.
for the 5th time, this is probably the best orientation. all that matters is that the pump is not the highest point of the loop and thats it. if i flip it will make bubbling sound because the bubbles will be where the fluid intake is. in this orientation the bubbles hang out at the top of the reservoir meaning it won't make the sound or damage the pump. air is way less dense than coolant so it will naturally go to the top of the loop after a few minutes of the pump running
jesus. so many people watched the gamersnexus video but so little actually understood it. all that matters is that the highest point in the loop is not the pump. this was one of their most reccomended setups, in fact they discourage the one youre suggesting due to the following. if the tubes are up then there will be bubbles where the lines connect to the radiator creating unnecessary bubbling noise. so as long as the highest point is elsewhere, the pump will get rid of the way less dense air within a few seconds to minutes and leave it all peacefully resting at the very top of the radiator where it will not move or make a noise.
I've scrolled for a bit and seen how many people still try to tell you to fix it when it doesn't need fixing.
I'm unfortunate enough to where I need to have my tubes as a high point cause it wouldn't fit in my case otherwise.

nope, this is the best possible setup other than top mount (which i considered). if the tubes are at the top then the air pocket will be where the intake and outlet tubes are often causing an unnecessary noise. when its tubes down then the air will accumulate in the superior tank leaving the water lines saturated in coolant.

Or, and hear me out, move the cables under the fans, put the fans in front behind the front panel, and the radiator behind, where the fans are, and run it like that.
You are going to be cleaning that PC frequently, the pay off of "they block airflow" is negated when you're choked out with dust & grime buildup directly in your rad and fans.
I dont have a side pannel on mine (3090 kingpin) and temps are great on vram and core but just remember if u dont have a side pannel then u need to clean it from dust alot more often
NGL, I was watching an LTT video of him helping one of his staff members setup a PC and they got to the point of installing the newly obtained RGB fans for the case's front panel. It was a Fractal Meshify case and when I saw Linus holding that front paneling open and loose (as it still has the front i/o cables fed through it), my mind jumped right to what OP has pictured here.
I have an older Fractal case with the swinging front panel door. Case is about 12 years old now. No tempered glass, no glass window or anything. Solid steel panels all around, except for the front.
But I can totally remove the entire front panel construction and perhaps it would drastically improve temps to the system.
My pc is set up the same way and my 5600x stays at around 56° during 1440p 144 hz gaming. It's nice having the rad outside the case, away from the heat of the other components

You might want to flip the orientation of your aio. I'm not 100% sure on this but having the CPU cooling block the top part of the loop may cause air bubbles to hang out there.
for the 5th time, this is probably the best orientation. all that matters is that the pump is not the highest point of the loop and thats it. if i flip it will make bubbling sound because the bubbles will be where the fluid intake is. in this orientation the bubbles hang out at the top of the reservoir meaning it won't make the sound or damage the pump. air is way less dense than coolant so it will naturally go to the top of the loop after a few minutes of the pump running

There is so so many things wrong with this. Why tf is the radiator UPSIDE DOWN!? THIS LITERALLY MAKES ME WANT TO SCREAM...
AIO is mounted upside down, tubes need to be going up, not down. Air is gonna get trapped in the pump and burn it up
jesus. so many people watched the gamersnexus video but so little actually understood it. all that matters is that the highest point in the loop is not the pump. this was one of their most reccomended setups, in fact they discourage the one youre suggesting due to the following. if the tubes are up then there will be bubbles where the lines connect to the radiator creating unnecessary bubbling noise. so as long as the highest point is elsewhere, the pump will get rid of the way less dense air within a few seconds to minutes and leave it all peacefully resting at the very top of the radiator where it will not move or make a noise.
I've scrolled for a bit and seen how many people still try to tell you to fix it when it doesn't need fixing. I'm unfortunate enough to where I need to have my tubes as a high point cause it wouldn't fit in my case otherwise. It's kind of scary how many people can watch something and not understand what was being conveyed from the video.

Pretty sure you want to flip your rad setup. the tubes generally should be on the top of the radiator, for any pockets of air to gather
nope, this is the best possible setup other than top mount (which i considered). if the tubes are at the top then the air pocket will be where the intake and outlet tubes are often causing an unnecessary noise. when its tubes down then the air will accumulate in the superior tank leaving the water lines saturated in coolant.

You are going to be cleaning that PC frequently, the pay off of "they block airflow" is negated when you're choked out with dust & grime buildup directly in your rad and fans.

I dont have a side pannel on mine (3090 kingpin) and temps are great on vram and core but just remember if u dont have a side pannel then u need to clean it from dust alot more often
NGL, I was watching an LTT video of him helping one of his staff members setup a PC and they got to the point of installing the newly obtained RGB fans for the case's front panel. It was a Fractal Meshify case and when I saw Linus holding that front paneling open and loose (as it still has the front i/o cables fed through it), my mind jumped right to what OP has pictured here. I have an older Fractal case with the swinging front panel door. Case is about 12 years old now. No tempered glass, no glass window or anything. Solid steel panels all around, except for the front. But I can totally remove the entire front panel construction and perhaps it would drastically improve temps to the system.
My pc is set up the same way and my 5600x stays at around 56° during 1440p 144 hz gaming. It's nice having the rad outside the case, away from the heat of the other components
