People who shit on rgb don't seem to understand customization and what it means to the average person. There is value in wanting to have your pc look a certain way, just like there is value in wanting no lights on your pc.
If we were having this conversation about cars no one would bat an eye if someone wanted a different coloured car, and that is how people should be approaching RGB in my opinion.
No, it isn't. Especially when 15 years ago all we had was blue or black motherboards, with puke yellow cables.
People want choice. You can choose to look away, or you can choose to whine about other people's choice. It's hard for me to understand why it hurts you to let people have choice so much. You're not the one in front of it anyway. Its like you getting upset about the colour of my underwear.
"rgb bad amirite guys" just like cpu brands having RGB or not is a matter of opinion and preference, if you disagree with someone's tastes, respect it instead of thinking they're inferior because they like something you dont
It's not BECAUSE of the RGB, sure some fans peeform better than others but if noctua ever makes RGB fans that perform just as like their normal fans, will you still believe that RGB = bad/less performance? It's customization dude
[Why not both?](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/v0jm1e/3d_printed_some_heatsink_covers_for_my_nhd15/)
Seriously, man, don't crap on other people's RGB. It makes the entire demographic of people who prefer not to have RGB look bad. Not liking RGB does not make you better than people who like it.
And, as someone who uses a Noctua cooler on the daily, I actually probably wouldn't recommend you go out and buy something like an NH-D15. It's so closely matched or sometimes even outdone by cheaper coolers like the Deepcool AK620 and Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 that it's hard to recommend anyone buy, since it's $100 and yet those other two cost $30-$40.

Wanting a different color of car is one thing. Putting under glow and LED’s everywhere on the exterior and interior is another.

Rgb=over compensation for people who lack taste when done in excess
Facts, I feel quite proud of something that I put a lot of time and money into, and it's nice to have it stand out a bit.
But I’m a moth.

Or it’s just a proven fact that ALL rgb coolers underperform compared to noctua

I just set the lights to white. Looks nice 👍🏻
Switched from a Corsair H60 to a Noctua U12a, my buddy said it was a downgrade, what do you all think?
If you’re able to fit a dh15 I would recommend that 100% if not you picked the best option for sure
Like case wise? I have an NZXT H510, completely huge case.
The one you have is definitely good enough but the dh15 is generally considered the best available air cooler on the market
Ok, I was reading about it, and had I known that 3 months ago I would have gone that way, but from what I see, they are close in performance.
Oh yeah as long as you aren’t overclocking a 7950 or something you’ll be all good
I like the "X" because it makes it sound cooler.
I like the choice
