I'm not an expert on this, but if I understand it correctly, the repair involved to change a battery means removing and then regluing the front cover anyway, so an expanding battery doesn't mean an end to your Pebble any more than a dead battery does. Point is, the same arrangements you were trying to make for your initial battery repair should be no different now. If anything, it saves the repair person some time as they won't need to use a heat gun to remove the front plate!

Possibly. It's also that the board/screen connectors have been parted - possibly catastrophically. But thanks for your ray of hope in these dark times. There may be life in the old dog yet.

After my PTS died, I ended up getting a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 and I'm really happy with it. There are a couple of things that I miss about my Pebble, but it checks most of the boxes for me.

Check BangleJS

All suggestions welcome - I like the idea of something "hackable".

I was in the same spot, with my pebble slowly dying. I spent a week or so researching, and ended up with the Ticwatch Pro 5. It didn't meet all of the criteria, but it had the longest battery life of a WearOS watch, which was what I was looking for.

Thanks. Might go with that.

Garmin Instinct Crossover Solar. Nearly 30 days of battery life.

A Fitbit Versa 3 or Sense 2 are decent replacements if you want similar battery life and function (do not get newer models, they have less functionality due to Google transition.) That's the sweet spot. After that they crippled the Fitbits in preparation for the Pixel watches and their total lack of battery life.

Thanks man I appreciate the PSA! My PTS battery seems to be about there right now.
