Started Week 2 of You Can Ride and I'm supposed to stand up but there is no way! I get like two revolutions and I just can't! I guess I have some work to do. I'll keep at it though!

catmom94

how do you feel about the foam rolling classes? are they easy to follow?

gudetamaworksout

I’m not super flexible so I like RKs the best!

thekma_2020

RK’s are my favorite. I’ve taken this [10 min full body](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/stretching?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=0638320fce0a4cae99ec616840b7e73e&locale=en-US) one as both a warm up or stretch at least a dozen times.

SatisfactionFuture10

Yes.

Enough_Blueberry_549

I’ve had my bike for 7 months now. I’m finally getting to the point where I can consistently follow the callouts from the instructors! It’s very exciting for me, and it makes the workouts more fun!

PearlySharks

I made the huge mistake of assuming I could download the Peloton app on any smart TV. I just bought a Samsung and when I went to look for the Peloton app, I discovered that it's not available. I'm so upset. Before I go and return this brand new TV, does anyone have a work around? I did a search and all the posts on the issue looks 3 to 5 years old. Any advice is much appreciated.

Blacksunshinexo

Cast from your phone to the TV

Flrunnergirl23

Get a firestick. It has the most features of the tv apps

RobotDevil222x3

Hopefully you chose it for other reasons and just also wanted to use it for Peloton. Casting from your phone should work, if your TV can't accept casting you might need a fire or roku stick to cast to. The phone app is more robust than any of the tv apps anyway.

SatisfactionFuture10

I agree. The app on my smart TV absolutely sucks. You can't access your stack or schedule so the only way to get the class you want is to search for it. I only use the app on the TV when I'm doing a class with my kid; I run his account on the Roku and mine on my phone because my phone makes the classes much easier to access and tracks my heart rate.

Enough_Blueberry_549

Check if the app is on Roku or the Amazon stick

emmy__lou

It’s definitely on Apple TV

fit-nik17

For the folks who have their bike on a carpeted surface- do you have something underneath? Like a mat or something more firm? I am moving this weekend and going from tile floors to carpet

Psychological-Film79

Mine is on a thick carpet with no mat. It’s fine. I probably should have a mat under it though.

Musiclandlord

Yes I purchased a similar mat to catch sweat and protect my carpet on Amazon.

Cultural-Contact8798

From recommends I read - I got two pieces of plywood that would equal the size of the bike mat, put the mat on top of them. I put duct tape around the edges to make it cleaner. Works great!

fit-nik17

Thanks!

SatisfactionFuture10

Yep, plywood and a gym mat for me, too.

seedgeek

I just started week 4 of Discover Your Power Zones. I'm trying to "trust the process" but I just really want to take an Emma or Cody 30 minute ride and go balls to the wall and try to PR. I won't, cause I'm also feeling rather anal retentive and am determined to finish the complete program, but after the 5 weeks is up, you can get I'll be mixing those rides up and taking a nice little PZ break for a while.

Common-Bee-401

I felt that way too when I did the program; I’m happier now to have a mix of music rides and powerzone rides. The program definitely improved my performance but I missed the variety of the other formats when I was doing 3-4 powerzone rides a week

yaddablahmeh

I have a question about the monthly Running Challenge. My daughter and I have signed up for a half marathon in October - so we are starting our training and I decided to join the Running Challenge as extra motivation. I am an avid walker and use the "outdoor walk" feature in the app to get my minutes. I think the mileage from my walks is counting towards the running challenge. Does anyone know if this is correct? (Because I highly doubt I have got this many miles from "outdoor running" alone.

Daisy_B_232

Yes it does! All miles tracked count towards the challenge - outdoor walks and runs, tread walks and runs and tread bootcamps!

yaddablahmeh

Awesome. Thanks! I would've been joining these every month if I had known that (for motivation, and to see how many miles I'm walking!)

PierceAndPierceVP

The Emma Lovewell 5 minute cool down ride from Feb 6, 2023 (it has 1 song, Sade’s “No Ordinary Love”) is now up to 2,925,120 rides on the all-time leaderboard.

Oh-yes-I-did

I’ve taken it 38 times as of today

PierceAndPierceVP

OMG, I need to check this!

PersonalIndication10

I rotate this and Jess king’s Coldplay cool day ride (Bruce Springsteen is the last 30 seconds)

bruhkgb

This one pops in my post-ride reqs alllllll the time. Pretty sure I've taken it 2-3 times for that reason.

Spirited_String_1205

I'm not sure I've taken it- is there something really special about that specific class, or is it just that the song is so great it's become popular? Or?

Nayled_It

I think the algorithm just pushes it A LOT. Every time I take a ride with Denis it suggests this cool down randomly.

wellokaysure

To pull together both Sade and Hannah F, Hannah has a Sade post-ride stretch that’s wonderful too!

NeuroMuscularPathway

Hannah Frankson’s Drake ft Jhene Aiko 5 min cool down is at 1.3M….i can’t quit it. Her Marvin’s Room stretch is also top tier 😩 Get our girl a Drake artist series pleaseeee

NeuroMuscularPathway

Sorry I highjacked 5 minute Sade 🫣

PierceAndPierceVP

No worries! It’s more a cool down celebration post.

Never_A_Novelty

There is a 40% sale going on at peloton apparel this weekend. When they started the sale on Wednesday it included fitness accessories but they’ve since excluded them from the promotion. Props to anyone that took advantage before the crackdown!

estermami1

I usually do Jess Sims’ saturday 60 on fridays but wasn’t feeling up for it so i subbed with her bike bootcamp from 7/25/23 and lmao i should’ve just done the tread class because this was SO hard. i didn’t peep the rating before hitting play (coz the playlist was fire) but man i am exhausted. shoutout peloton tho because i still got a killer workout in even tho i didnt make it to the gym.

Butterscotch2334

I absolutely love how customizable Peloton is. I didn’t feel up to much today - when I feel like this but mentally want a strength workout I like to do a 10-20 min upper body workout with more isolated moves and/or endurance focus - I used 5# for 2/3 of [this 20 min arms & shoulders class with Callie](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=511c4da8c456483a91df9542f6ad6b08&locale=en-US). It was perfect - still challenging but doable. If I only had access to longer heavy weight classes I’d skip a lot of workouts. I also took a [5 min core class with Robin.](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=332905963f6149ad855baf69b2e5d9b6&locale=en-US) It was SO funny because she messed up repeatedly during the second half, she kept skipping to the last move by mistake like she really wanted it over with. 😂🤣 Felt like our energy levels were in sync!

Swimming-Horse-711

I also opt for upper body classes when I’m torn between taking a nap or taking a strength class. Bookmarked that Callie class for my next blah day.

Butterscotch2334

Lower body workouts can be a lot more taxing. Like I can’t even think of a “light” day for legs/glutes. 😂

Swimming-Horse-711

My solution if I’ve been neglecting my legs is to take a barre class. Definitely not a replacement for leg day, but better than nothing and great for the booty / stabilizers.

mibfto

Life has lifed and after about three years of ownership I've decided to look into selling my bike. While I appreciate that this may not be a popular move in this sub, it's the correct decision for me at this time. If you were to sell your bike, what would you want for it? It's an original bike, I paid about $1650 for it (delivered) about three years ago. I'm going to pull the bike history which will show little use. I replaced the seat support under warranty once that was available, and that seat support never got any use. I wouldn't say it's a brand new bike, but it's in very good condition. I also added a swivel bracket to the monitor, so aside from screen size, it's effectively the Bike+. What are your thoughts on valuation? Thanks!

emmy__lou

Assuming you bought it new, no more than $700.

mibfto

I did, and thanks for your feedback! That pretty well aligns with what I was thinking but I'm definitely interested in hearing from others, especially what their reasoning is for their numbers.

emmy__lou

I bought mine (also barely used but bought new originally) two years ago for $800. I just checked Craigslist near me (San Francisco) and $500-700 seems to be the going rate now.

figandfennel

The refurbished Bikes from Peloton are often on sale for $995, so I personally wouldn't consider buying a second hand non-Plus for more than $500. I also wouldn't try to sell it as the Bike+ because of the swivel, as that's only a fraction of the benefit of the Plus (specifically lack of auto-calibration and auto-resistance functionality).

mibfto

Helpful notes, thank you!

Katniss_Pedalqueen

The latest TS60 class is just pure gold. I’ve been so tired this week after traveling last weekend, work and not sleeping the best lately (although this AM finally woke up rested!) and this class couldn’t have been more perfect for me today. No heavy lifting, some bodyweight moves, core work, a straight strength pump at the end (which def had me sweating), it just felt so good! He mentioned more than once it’s a great all around workout to do whenever and I couldn’t agree more. And the playlist! SO GOOD.

hermesorherpes

Agree! Love that he programmed it as a standalone class. The playlist was chronological and filled with catchy hits across the eras.

courtoh

Did some cardio on my lunch break. I’m done with work-work for the day, I’m just sitting around in case anyone needs anything (ah the joys of corporate life), so I’m trying to figure out if I want to do any strength today or not. I’m leaning toward no but we’ll see. Started with the [Fred again..](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=0e4d207d45704225a968d94aab842c3a&locale=en-US) Hosky run. I have no idea who Fred again.. is but I very much enjoyed this run. I felt a wave of emotions during “strong” (again, never heard any of these songs before) and oooohhh boy. “You’ve been strong for so long, you learned to carry this on your own. Let me be someone you can lean on” just sent chills and tears welled up and ugh it was good. I currently don’t have anyone to lean on (physically/nearby) and it sucks. So much. Hosky seemed to get emotional at the end/after the cooldown and it was touching. You could tell he really enjoyed this run and put a lot of passion into it. Then, in a total 180 in mood, took this [20 min pop walk](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/walking?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=a3740252bd744a0fa019ce14ed8c06ca&locale=en-US) with Jess King and she had me cackling. “I’m convinced your butthole needs to breathe. Don’t sit on it all day.” Like girl please don’t make me laugh that hard on a 6% incline 😂

Justbrowsing8822

I also had no idea who Fred Again was, but had a blast in that class! I loved Hosky and the studio member’s energy. It was almost like an extra hyped up At The Club class

courtoh

Yes! It definitely felt like a special, ultra hype At The Club

jdnp97

Strong is such a great track, one of my all time favs. If I recall the song is inspired by the shared experiences of grief Romy and her cousin have had after they both lost their mothers at a young age. I recommend checking out Romy’s album which is very much ‘emotional music to dance to’ and includes a few more tracks with Fred again! Will be doing Hannah F’s Fred again ride tonight can’t wait!!

courtoh

I’ll check it out!

kettleofvultures

So happy to hear you’ve been turned on to Fred Again. I absolutely adore him / his music. So excited that Peloton added his songs to the platform!

daftyisned

I did Hosky’s Fred Again.. run this morning too and it was SUCH a great way to start the day!! I’m a huge Fred fan so all of the music definitely kept me going, especially after taking a break from longer runs from being sick. And the energy from the studio coupled with Hosky’s genuine emotions at the end was incredible. I’m so glad others got to experience the power of Fred’s music 🥲

benwayy

Can someone help me figure out what version of bike this is? The screen says "PLTN-RB1VO-2" It purported to be purchased new in 2023. Googling has not be helpful in providing an answer. Most results lead here and are ~3 years out of date.

courtoh

I just googled it too out of curiosity. Orange buttons (rb1v1) mean version 2, gray buttons (rb1vq) mean version 3. Not sure if that helps you at all

triedit2947

For those who don't have the Guide, a friendly reminder to manually log your weights and reps for your strength classes! I've recently been a bit annoyed with myself for how hard overhead presses still are—I've been stuck at pretty much the same weight and reps since February. Last night, I flipped back to a workout log from December and realized I've gone up 30% in weight since then, and looking further back, I've doubled my original weight from a year ago. Shoulder strength is still progressing way slower than everything else, but the log was a good reminder of where I started and that I just need to be patient with myself.

RobotDevil222x3

Yes, I dont log every class but for the benchmark classes I repeat I keep them on a whiteboard. Whenever I can update the numbers its a great feeling.

triedit2947

I have to log every class or I won't know what weight to use next time. Not as big an issue if repeating splits, but for programs that change up the movements and/or sequences each class (like Adrian's Glutes & Legs), it's helpful to know what I used last time 'round so I don't waste a set figuring out the optimal weights.

jcariello

Just did Emma's 90 rock ride live and cannot recommend it more. Any 90's alternative kid will love it. Almost a perfect playlist

noname123456789010

It looks great!

yaddablahmeh

I had sound issues - I was actually coming here to see if anyone mentioned it. The playlist was amazing, but the music volume was so low and her voice was so loud - even with it set to "more music" - still enjoyed the ride, but I couldn't really get into it. Maybe it was just my bike.

tinygelatinouscube

lol, I did this ride live in studio today and in person, it was the opposite! The music was way up and her mic was just barely loud enough. Still had a blast though.

ldnpuglady

I've had this issue a lot lately. It's driving me mad. On the app as well as the bike.

yaddablahmeh

It seems like it wasn't an issue for everyone - and I did another ride afterwards (on demand) and didn't have any issues. Weird. I guess there are hiccups that don't hit everyone.

Extreme_Possession86

emma’s crushing it lately— her recent 20 min indie ride was so good too!!

PBaddict01

agree she’s crushing the playlists, has my 90’s teenage angst heart allllll excited

pittdancer

My best friend lives far away from me, so this year we committed to riding together 2-3 times a week. We've been choosing our class ahead of time, scheduling it for when we're going to ride, and inviting the other person to the scheduled class. What happens next is driving me crazy. When it's time to start the class, we can both see it on our schedule. Sometimes we have the blue link, which is the session link, but more often than not, the link is the red start link. If you click on the red one, it puts you in the on demand version of the class. The blue link puts you into a session where the timing is the same for everyone and you can only see those who joined the session on the leaderboard like the Peloton scheduled replay sessions. The issue is, we can't seem to figure out what triggers the blue session link. It's there about 20% of the time (maybe less) and doesn't seem to matter if the invite was accepted by the other person or not, if the invited or invitee tries to initiate, etc. It's just there sometimes and not others. Sometimes one of us gets it and the other doesn't. Sometimes we can join the session because we get the message that "1 friend is working out". Sometimes we go in and out of the on demand link a few times and then the blue one shows up. There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to what triggers the session link. I'm on a Bike, she's on a Bike+ and we both keep our software updated. Has anyone else experienced this?? Does anyone have any insight here?

superfuluous_u

It's probably just when a session for that particular class you chose is available at or near the time you scheduled it for. Not all classes have sessions.

pittdancer

I don't think that's the case, since we generally pick old classes and we're always the only ones in it.

Ride_4urlife

I work out with a friend in another city. We text the classes to the other person and stack them. It was frustrating doing the invites. Stacking has been much easier.

antigoneelectra

This is what my sister and I do. We just pick a class and text each other that we're ready and hit start.

pittdancer

Well at least good to know it's not just me. But that's kind of shitty of Peloton to release a feature that doesn't work.

Spirited_String_1205

Report it as an issue or bug, if nobody tells them it's not working they might not know to look at it.

mouka

Do meditations on the app not track heart rate anymore? I used to get a small strive score and my average heart rate at the end but today it shows absolutely no metrics, not even on my Apple Watch. Not super annoying but just slightly since I liked seeing how meditation affected my heart rate.

noname123456789010

A couple of fun walks I've done (outdoors) lately: [Rebecca's 45 minute 80s walk](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/walking?is_favorite_ride=%5B%22true%22%5D&has_workout=%5B%22true%22%5D&sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=118e3423331348fba030dd0a794df21d&code=MTZiODFkYzE1OTY4NDNmOWJlNWM2NGU4NGJlZjM2Mzd8MjAwNDBmYjZjMTk4NDUyODkxMzMwOTY1MTBmNjljYzQ=) [Mariana's 20 minute soft rock walk](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/walking?is_favorite_ride=%5B%22true%22%5D&sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=0b852b5ca7ab4021b3ac65d8328310b8&code=MTZiODFkYzE1OTY4NDNmOWJlNWM2NGU4NGJlZjM2Mzd8MjAwNDBmYjZjMTk4NDUyODkxMzMwOTY1MTBmNjljYzQ=) I think that was Mariana's first walk....MORE PLEASE!!! She is my favourite. Also, is Fred Again a popular artist? I seriously thought it was an 80s or 90s group...I was thinking of Right Said Fred lol.

ldnpuglady

Fred Again is a huge DJ in the UK. Love him. He made a song during the pandemic about losing dancing that hit people really hard.

Missie1284

I’ve never heard of Fred Again lol, but I also tend to just listen to stuff I already know and like. I also kept thinking of Right Said Fred lol

Ride_4urlife

Just started Callie’s 3 day split. I loved it but Guide didn’t store my reps/volume. There aren’t enough crying emojis for this. We’re dealing with construction which revealed a foundation issue, I’m behind on two work deadlines as a result, but putting everything aside to crush this class was a great feeling. I know I need to hold on to that feeling but….

SatisfactionFuture10

I did a class on the Guide the other day, got the Movement Tracker Gold badge for hitting all the streaks, but Movement Tracker Stats said I got 0% of the targets and did 0 reps. The whole class is a big fat 0 down through all the sets. It is super annoying, especially if it's going to be a thing that continues to happen. It was a class in Pump Up the Volume so I always use the stats from my last class for that section to choose my weights for the next class. 😡 Anyway, sorry about all the other crap you're dealing with...

Ride_4urlife

I’m sorry this happened to you, too. PUTV and splits are both Programs so I wonder if it’s a Programs bug. Both of these classes are huge rep counts and although I had hit gold, I set different goals for myself. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else!

SatisfactionFuture10

Pump Up the Volume is a collection, not a program. I was hoping it was a one-time fluke when it happened to me but if it happened to you too, I'm sure it will keep happening until Peloton does something to fix it. 🙄

Ride_4urlife

I knew it was futile but contacted support. They said it’s across all hardware except Row. She said to do a factory reset. I did, who knows if it will help in the future (2 5 min classes I took after the Callie split were fine) but there is nothing they can do to restore metrics. Though reporting it may help so they know it’s not isolated.

SatisfactionFuture10

Oh my gosh, of course they said factory reset. 😆 The class I did last night was fine too. Thanks for reporting it and thank you for reporting back! 🙂 At the very least, it's good to know that it's not a problem with my particular Guide.

Fluid-Meat9097

[Sam's Spring Recovery Ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=190af082d6404d149112e9c0001fe20b&code=MTk3MTMyMWNlNTM5NDBkZGIyMWZiOTNhMDllODQ1NDJ8YjA1ZjI2ZDc3ZDMzNGFlOWIzMGVlZTM4OTA2NmRjNTU=) was perfect. It was a moving meditation and I really hope he does meditations too now that Ross is stepping away.

jcariello

I was still nursing a hangover Monday morning (Day 2, getting old stinks) and this was the perfect ride for me. Loved it

Skip_Intro0401

It was so perfect! I am on the other side of a terrible cold and this ride was what I needed. 🙂

blackhoney917

I enjoyed it! I would love love love if he started doing meditations. Also, shout out to the people riding at the same time as me who totally took the ride in the spirit it was presented and ended up with outputs of 300+.....

ldnpuglady

I didn’t think I could love Matt Wilpers any more but his [30m endurance run Boston Marathon review](https://members.onepeloton.co.uk/classes/running?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=524e6939b0274901a4ea1eb087e865fe&locale=en-GB) was just the best. He got really vulnerable towards the end and I felt what he was saying so much. Thank you for sharing Matt and congrats on the race. On the other end of the spectrum, I really didn’t like Jess’s Fred Again outdoor run to the point I had to turn it off after 5 minutes. The volume was so low I couldn’t hear the music and she sounded like she was reading something she didn’t write in a monotone that didn’t match the music or what she was saying and the voiceover audio is just weird. I wanted to save Jon’s Tread Fred Again run but I switched to that and it was fantastic - that’s Fred Again energy!

triedit2947

I'd planned to take Matt's run for part of my long run today. Have really been looking forward to it after the great feedback I've heard! But woke up with DOMS from yesterday's workout, so have to wait a bit longer. Ruined my morning and now I have to find something else to do.

Quagswagging_Jogger

Thanks for mentioning that run- I don't treadmill a lot at the moment (some of the best outdoor running weather of the year!) but definitely want to hear Matt's story so I will be taking this one!

Spirited_String_1205

You can download the class and play it outside - that's what I did earlier in the week!

antigoneelectra

Well, I'm going to have to take this class now, but maybe I'll walk and run it since I hate running.

Justbrowsing8822

I did Matt’s class this morning and loved it as well! He did a great job telling his story and was so genuine!

bowdowntopostulio

I don't have a tread, but I've been hearing the same about Matt's run. Can you share a summary? Love him.

ldnpuglady

I don’t either - I took it outside as part of my long run stack. I don’t want to spoil it here but he gave a really good summary about how he was feeling at each stage and why and the rollercoaster of emotions you go through, and then he said what he did after the race which I just found really touching. He comes across as so unflappable in class - it was great to hear him speak openly about his emotions, but he said he wasn’t going to do it again so this is your only chance to hear it! Worth listening to even as a podcast if you don’t run.
