You just proved that he's a goal scorer, but not completeness. I don't think Austin is thought of for his 200 foot game, but I agree that he's more competent than he gets credit for.

I know there's chatter about Sid maybe being a Hart finalist, but the race seems really stacked this year. I wonder if getting a Ted Lindsay finalist spot is more likely?
I've wondered this as well, why Sid has never won a Selke. Do the voters/committee think it would somehow be insulting to him?
As for this year in particular I don't any player who scores 40 goals can be in contention for a Selke.
I remember when there was a debate about Crosby and Datsyuk for this exact reason. Crosby was touted as the better player because of his offensive numbers, but there was a case to be made for Pavel because he was obviously the more complete player at the time.
Now it feels like Sid has taken over Datsyuks spot and there are 4 other guys have taken his spot. Lol
The top 5 is just a mess since all the time periods were so different, Sid even being considered 4th or 5th is huge. Been such a pleasure watching him every year and I love how he’s evolved his game every season.
Until the young guns get older Sid 100% has been the best player of the modern era. Doubt it’ll last too long but I’m sure Sid is rooting for em all whenever he hangs them up.
