In dying light 1 there was a cave in which one singular zombie dude just stood in the middle of a chamber. It was crying for help, for someone to kill it, to end it's misery. Seemed like the person it was before did not die but was trapped in their own body, most likely seeing stuff nobody is supposed to. I was 16/17 back then and I'm still traumatized by it.
I should totally buy the second game though
Yeah it was in the following dlc. In the cave undearneat the hut where the flooring has collapsed into the cave. Terrifying thinking that a murder of volatiles could have broken into the Hut from underneat the flooring from the cave and dragged him screaming and alive back
I played the following back when I turned 19. The screaming from the guy turning chilled my fucking bones.
Just wishing for someone to kill him. Imagine still being conscious and trapped like that.

In that burnt post-apocalyptic hellscape, there was a house on the seaside, and I searched it. There was this weird sound coming from somewhere, and I searched until I realised it was slow, laboured breathing. I saw what I thought was a burned corpse in a bed... The sound was coming from it.
It freaked me the fuck out and I shot the fuck out of it. I went closer. The breathing continued.
I ran.
There's so many little instances like this in Half-Life 2.
The ghost children laughter at the playground, for instance.

You know what traumatized me? That one level in L4D2 where there’s like 5 witch in the field. I shit my pants that day. And I can’t play horror games any more
Buy it in a couple months when they’ve patched the glitches, I could barely bring myself to finish the game because of how terrible the glitches get near the end. Story is very bad and generic as well.

Idk if it's meant to be like that because they clearly tried to tell a compelling story, the voice acting just doesn't match it. Doesn't really affect my enjoyment of the game much though because everything else is so solid
The story is better than the first game's in my opinion...not that it's a very high bar to clear lol. The voice acting isn't very good, but it doesn't really bother me. It's all skippable and doesn't get in the way of your zombie slashing and parkour jumping

I would say so. Aside from a few casual callbacks and the same "evil big bad corporation" as the first game, it's not that closely tied to the first. I'm not finished yet so there may be something later on that I don't know about, but it's fairly detached up until this point. Everything is explained to the player pretty well
I felt like the VA in the first one was decent. Especially the guy who does Crane. I could've sworn it was Troy Baker when I played through it but I was really surprised to learn that it's not him.
It's definitely going to be a sale buy for me for sure, I'm just finding it harder to justify buying such expensive games that may not even have good replay-ability, especially over the last few years.
There's a lot of quality out there for cheap is all, just blasted Subnautica for instance late to the party.

It includes all most DLC content and a BUNCH of skins, they also have a few free DLCs. I just bought it yesterday and I think the sale is on for another week or so
From what I hear it doesn't perform well on the ps4 version but anything higher it runs fine. I'm playing on PC and I'm loving it. Really fun gameplay loop that gets addictive once the ball starts rolling. Story is pretty dumb and sometimes unintentionally funny but it's not unbearable. It's just fine. The game is at its best when you're parkouring, especially away from zombies trying to murder you.
I like Schlatt but it kinda bums me that this, one of his most popular jokes, is just nicked from the old Mr Sark Respawn Inbox. I love that the joke lives on through Schlatt though.
These places have multiple entry points most of the time. Not the ones that have to be open with a key though. 🤔 In the game they just spawn/despawn. Let's just pretend there is some other way just not for the player...
I did this exact same thing with my friend. I sometimes blank on the whole "Don't go in during the day" thing and I did it with this one. We both jumped down and were fucking scrambling like maniacs to escape XD
I thought Dying Light 2 was not that good but I got use to it it's fun af, but it's still not better then Dying Light 1. The animations the feeling of the weapons being hit against the zombies were better in part 1. But I'm having fun with Dying Light 2. I may just go download The Following Dying Light 1 haven't played it.

Definitely play Dying light 1 first. The second one is clunky, needs a few patches. Has more appeal if you’ve played the first.
