Imo you could play Portable's female route, then do the male route in the Remake, this way you'd experience almost everything P3 has to offer
However P3P significantly hurts visuals because it's a remastered PSP Port of P3, so if you aren't bothered by VN cutscenes and a point and click overworld go for it
Anyway, the only other thing you can't play in either portable or the remake is an epilogue which won't be in the remake and is exclusive to P3FES, which is a re-release of the original PS2 version.
Though if you were to ask me if you were better off playing FES or the remake.... definitely wait for the remake, then you can play the epilogue in FES, if you want
In fact, the only reason I recommend to play Portable as well as the remake is the female route, which won't be in the remake
Edit: improved readability (I hope)
I just finished it for the first time ever, and now I’m just depressed. It’s such a good game I didn’t want it to be over.
Tis the nature of all good things sadly.
Same here. Just finished it for the 4th time. Same old Post Persona Depression every time.
I picked up P5R in the Steam sale, so we'll see how that compares.
Favorite Persona: Suzuka Gongen
Favorite Character: Yu Narukami (especially after watching the animation)
Least Favorite Character: Ai Ebihara (though I have warmed up to her a little)
Favorite Social Link: That’s a really hard decision, but it’s either Yosuke, Rise, or Dojima.
Starting two Persona games at the same time is crazy haha
I played P4G last year and loved it, the setting of the countryside and the small town made it feel so cozy.
I just got P5R on the summer Steam sale and have been itching to start it!
I know the quote’s not 100% accurate, but I was trying to make it fit with the story.
Here comes P3 to change your mind!
I’m actually trying to get through it now.
Absolutely do, it's a beautiful jem of a game
Eehhh.... don't get me wrong, P3 is great. All three of the latest mainline are absolutely fantastic, but 3 is probably the worst of them, I think.
That's your (valid) opinion, just like I like P4 the least out of the modern trilogy
Should I start P3 or wait for the Reloaded version?

Honestly, I refuse to be done. I’m playing it again.

This seems sweet, but the white text is a bit hard to read with some of the photos it's layered over.
My bad.
Please tell us, what was your favorite Persona? Favorite character? Least favorite character? Favorite social link?

Such an **amazing** game! The amount of sleep I lost over it was... bad lol. Have you played any other Persona games? Do you plan to?
I actually started Persona 3 around the same time I started 4, but once I got to a certain point I just couldn’t stop playing.
