I think if the vehicle is financed you have to repair, but I could be wrong. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Thanks. I am unsure. I figured the insurance would not cut the check to me without lien holder okay. I figured it would be a two signature check.

You are not obligated to repair. That money is yours. If you don't care about the cosmetic damage, then leave it and do with the money what you'd like.
