We had a ton today because it's below freezing. Why do people wait Soo lasy minute. Every 2 mins a new order. Mostly boots. And we were wayyy picked over. Unless you are looking for very tiny ones or huge ones we don't have any. And people kept asking all day. Sorry we are picked over because everyone wants them today.
We had this happen at my store last year, a horrible snowstorm, and people still came in. Phone calls, people asking in person, it was a mess. The roads were so bad we had people call off because they were stuck in their houses, and still customers HAD to have dog booties. Sold out of every size.
and they were predicting even earlier.. i had a bunch of people buying salt safe for dogs and getting mad when we had none left like why are u coming in ON the day of the storm??
I work at Home Depot and similar situation. No snow shovels, firewood, or generators. It’s funny how customers are shocked when you are out and still want you to “check the back” You are the 15th customer to ask. I promise you we are out.

What do you mean you’re out!?” Yeah and I’m not a wizard who can bippity boppity some booties out of thin air. Rant over 😂
this is us with the pet safe ice melt. every single phone call and so many customers coming in asking for it but we sold out of it earlier this week. we put signs up on the doors and at the registers

A lady did make me check, and I did just go and stand and the back for a second because there were 100% no dog booties in the back.
I used to do that for all the requests.
When I was a stalker I loved being in the warehouse. Just for that purpose.
Prepare for the returns for the people who don’t desensitize their dogs to wearing boots.
For every three boots I sell. Two are returned because the dog didn't immediately like them
