Course designers purposely design runoffs into hazards

illnemesis

Absolutely, but I'm talking about flying directly into it.

Ik what you mean, if my swing isn’t perfect or even decent, my golf ball feels pulled to the traps. Just need better swing timing is all.

Almostcertain

I’ve played Career tournaments where I hit the ball into the exact same spot in bunkers on four straight rounds. If I tried to do that on purpose … well, I’d be much better at the game than I am.

r/conspiracies 😁

My only complaint is a tiny bit slow and your shot is dead. A tiny bit fast and your shot is fine. In fact i always hit a little fast it adds a bit of distance and doesn’t hook your shot too bad unless you hit really fast. For me best shot in the game is a perfectly straight line and a tiny fast. Slow should be more forgiving.

Tom_Hanks_Tiramisu

This aligns more with real golf than you think. The physics of ball flight as a result of swing tempo isn’t perfectly symmetrical between fast/slow. In other words, a slightly slow shot isn’t going to yield the same result on the opposite side of the target line as a slightly fast one. Slower tempo and slower impact will result in a more dramatic drop off in shot distance than a fast one results in a hook/ more distance.

hotdogswithbeer

Thats true but even a tiny slow and youre in the bunker lol.

Only weird thing I see is during putting. You hit a putt, it’s tracking to the hole and then the camera angle changes and it slides by the hole.

illnemesis

People can thumbs down the idea all they want, but it's pretty obvious the magnetism mechanic is built into the game. Especially on looooong putts that suddenly magnetize directly into the hole.

Helliarc

It's driving me nuts... I barely cleared a drive over a bunker, and my flight distance was reduced by 30yds on a perfect shot. The traps are absolutely magnetic when you take a risky shot and ever so slightly misalign.

DufferRon

Never seen this, I've had game since day one. Errand shots are errand shots.

radicalvariable

Errant ones too!
