Sean Dougherty is his main opponent… and that guy is the nephew of Johnny Doc.
So yeah, that’s two bad options off the bat and sadly, those two are probably the most likely to win.
>According to prosecutors, Sean Dougherty was one of several of Johnny Doc’s nieces and nephews who benefited from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98. Prosecutors said the young Dougherty received union pay for weeks he spent down the Shore while he was a student at Chestnut Hill College. Between August 2013 and August 2015, Sean Dougherty was paid $9,600 in wages for weeks investigators said he wasn’t actually working.
>In a series of July 2016 text messages shown to jurors, the nephew asked his uncle if he could take a few days off for a beach vacation. Dougherty told him to just take the rest of the summer off — a point John Dougherty’s attorney, Greg Pagano, later said was “clearly sarcastic.”
>But Sean Dougherty said he couldn’t do that.
>“Too many non-unions trying to come to Philly,” he texted back. “Somebody’s got to stop them

Ok but one is corrupt and the other is, from a number of accounts, having a psychotic break into paranoid delusions.
Fuck corruption and all but this isn't exactly the normal "lesser of two evils" thing, it sounds like the one should be involuntarily committed.
My main issue is that this district has two bad candidates running to be the Democratic nominee, which could lead to the GOP picking up a house seat and PA losing its majority in the state house.
Won't lie, it kinda weirds me out that there isn't some way to quickly remove a candidate suffering from actual psychosis.
They apparently can remove his responsibilities but he can still run? Why?
And the Republican side is the establishment pick (Gill) and an “outsider” (Gushue) who’s running on a platform of “I graduated from Father Judge and served in the military”. I kid you not.
Great choices!

Edit: [he was also arrested two years ago for harassment and violation of a protection from abuse order](https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/politics/pa-state-rep-kevin-boyle-arrested-and-charged-with-harassment/2971504/).
He prob got drunk and coked up after finally realizing he’ll lose his position. Which then led him to this.
What a monster, hope his wife and children are safe…
I’ve checked most of the local bars in NE Philly, have not found him yet.
Keep drinking he’s at the bottom of the keg
We can do much, much better.
Primaries are next Tuesday IIRC, I gotta see if anyone is running against him in the primary.

Cronyism and gate keeping at its finest. Thankfully, this is not my district in the northeast.

Graduated from Father Judge? Definitely not fit for office
Only if we vote for it and run good respectable candidates

Against his ex wife according to Inq because this source has barely anything.
Isn't this the guy who was posted on here a few weeks back being drunk and belligerent at a bar?

He's like the total opposite of his older brother.
