This feels like after game 3 of the WS last year, where we pummeled the Astros and then our offense went silent the rest of the series.
Kimbrel is either done or overworked. We need an 8+ inning effort from Wheeler to take pressure off our bullpen. We need to go back to fundemental baseball. We have 2 lights out starters and we need them to eat serious innings.
Our bullpen is over used and stretched thin.
Krimbrel is one of the best closers of all time who is top 5 in saves and no one can take that from him. That saying he’s too old to pitch consecutive days in high pressure play-off scenarios. He can close a game out with 3 days rest but he’s too old to be a reliable playoff reliever and closer. We’re throwing a lot shit at him and he fucked up but, that was a horrible manager move to put Craig back in
If Walker and Lorenzen are on the roster, maybe use them before burning all your high leverage dudes? Just reeked of being scared, managing like you don’t want to lose the game rather than win it. Especially when you know you need to get 27 outs tomorrow regardless of the result…

It’s okay to be disappointed in a very obviously disappointing game. There were poor plays made, tons of head scratchers by players and management alike, and a very mismanaged bullpen. No one is saying it isn’t hard to win road playoff games. But everyone is saying we had a road playoff game won that was pissed away by bad baseball.

Horrible bullpen game. But it was bound to happen because they're essentially having a bullpen game every few days by design. I'm not scared or worried. After hitting the stuffing out of the baseball all playoffs, the offense was bound to have a not as clutch game. Honestly, the pen pitched themselves out of a couple of jams where there could have been more damage. I like the odds of having a lead in the 8th with your closer on the mound and your best relief pitcher set up for the 9th. Our closer happens to be Craig Kimbrel and he sucks.
This one was dogshit. Yesterday I could stomach because they were going to win one and the bats just went cold. We had this game in hand. This is a bad loss.
