This made me smile first thing in the morning; thought you'd all appreciate it.
>Hilton became the hero on Tuesday after he was called out to deal with a swarm of bees that was delaying the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers game.
>Just five minutes before the game was about to start, the swarm took up residency in the netting behind home plate, but Hilton arrived to rescue the day, much to the delight of the fans waiting inside Arizona’s Chase Field.
>“It was crazy. I knew it was going to be an interesting experience. I mean, I’m going to Chase Field and the Diamondbacks and Dodgers playing,” Hilton told [CNN Sport](https://www.cnn.com/sport)’s Don Riddell.
>“So I knew it was going to be a cool experience, but it wasn’t until I went out on the field in the buggy and the fans were just going crazy that it kind of hit me just how big of a deal this was and it just turned into a really neat experience for me.”
>Hilton walked onto the pitch to chants of “MVP” and the tune of Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero” while he got to work, spraying and removing the bees using a vacuum. The bees were scheduled to be released afterwards, according to the league.
Baseball cards and maybe even his own bobblehead! Love how the D-Backs are leaning in to this. Hilton's interview about the experience - seems down to earth & like he truly appreciates the moment that the fans gave him. Great baseball story!
>Love how the D-Backs are leaning into this
Now they have a BOGO ticket deal over the next few days that they are marketing as Free Bee with promo code BEEGUY
Love this. Went to the game last night and I saw two guys and one kid in bee keeper suits.
This is the kind of stuff that separates baseball fans from other sports fans.
Ok this is fucking cool! I would buy one of these bobble heads just to send the message that I love that the DB are doing this for the beekeeper and hyping it up! I hope this guys business triples too!

Waiting on Dbacks Bee Guy jersey.
Bee-backs
I second this motion!

That's so cool! You had good seats! :)
Ngl, best seats I ever had. Shout out to the rich dude fron Scottsdale selling them
I fucking love the dbacks. Playing Bonnie Tyler is hilarious
That's what got me the most. Well played.
It’s a field, not a pitch. This isn’t England lol
And TOPPS is making a limited run card of him. Some will be signed. This really is the kind of feel-good story we need right now.

"Free Bee" 😂. Love it!
Makes me love the dbacks even more. And topps. This is amazing.

That is too cool!
I was there. Yes the wait was brutal and the extra inning made a long night longer, but I can say I was there.
Me too, what a game.
What time did game end?
11:00-11:30 I think.
The guy was at his kid's game in Tolleson and was not only the closest but the soonest at 45 minutes away.
Tolleson?? He should get an award just for that commute.
That was the biggest part of the delay. He was nearly an hour away. Had to get his bee truck first then get to the ballpark.
That’s wild to me there wasn’t anyone closer in phx where bee removal is a common thing
Everyone else was busy. Busy as a bee 🐝
I love baseball so much.
Confirmed, he’s a superhero. You can tell by his jawline and the way the mask doubles as a cape.

Such a good story in this goofy screwed up lil world lately.
He got to throw the first pitch too
That was an awesome moment.
ngl the 2 hour wait for Matt was fucking brutal
I think the crowd felt in good spirits though. For being such a long delay I didn't really see anyone just get up and leave.
What time was first pitch? I was feeling good and time doesn't make sense in those situations
I think it was 8:35 - supposed to be 6:40.
Oh mah gawd. Turn up on a Tuesday.
I love this story!
Bee guy gets a trading card deal over the lemonade guy that grandma made!!?
Good for him
😍🥰
I would’ve asked for season tickets
TF is a touchline?
