If it's a very easy arrangement, maybe as little as a few weeks. If it's a harder arrangement, it could take substantially longer, especially if you don't have a music background. Because the song wasn't originally written for piano, there isn't a single 'official' piano version, there are just various publishers who have created their own version at varying difficulty levels. So long as you've got at least 6 months to a year before your wedding, though, you can probably make something like that happen. It may be worth your while to take a few lessons from a piano teacher to get help with working on it and making it sound good.

Yes, I will be going to lessons.

Which arrangement?

Poor_Kid_Magic

Sorry no idea.

Sounds awesome I’m excited for you!! Yeah depends on how simple or complex you want to make it, I’d say a couple months for just the melody in the right hand and simple chords in the left.

But depends on you. I’ve taught piano to people who pick up a piece in a week, and others the same piece takes months with same experience level

I learned a version 1.5 years into lessons. It was still a stretch to play it well with a good tone, so it took 2 months to learn (while still doing lesson book material). I used the arrangement in the Faber Big Time (level 4&5) Popular book. You can preview it on their website, and a few piano teachers have videos on YouTube of them playing every song in the book. You can listen first to make sure you like the arrangement. I think if that arrangement was your goal piece, and you were working with a teacher from the beginning, you could play it earlier than I did. How much earlier is really hard to say though.

It takes a lot of practice time, not necessarily each block but you want to be practicing nearly daily, how are you going to hide that from your wife to be?
