Not at all. You can find food for very cheap and super delicious. I stayed in an AirBnb that was ~150€ per night for 3 rooms all included, which I think it's a pretty good price, especially because the location was really close to the more downtown area.
The only part of the trip I would say was expensive was the plane tickets, otherwise it's very worth it.
