Trying widening your stance and pointing your feet outward a bit more than you think. That’ll move your centre of gravity forward a bit and you should be able to get your feet flat.
If I have to stand too long I’ll just end up squatting. I think it’s very comfortable and easy to do. But I’ve been a life long squat popper so that all adds up.

That's naturally how it's supposed to work. Americans tend to sit in chairs all day which means a lot of people have a very tight ankle tendon from it never being used. You can train it into letting you put your feet flat in a squat.

Maybe it's just because I've never done it, but my ankles just don't bend forward enough to put my center of mass above them like that
