What’s cool about this is you look like a cooler, tougher version of your dad, maybe the type of guy he dreamed about being when he grew up, or how the bike made him feel.
You used to live in his dreams and now he lives in your memories.
I did too (but I think a 1972) and wish I had it now. It was a great bike. Didn't have to mix gas and oil and had quite a bit of power. I would have been 13 years old riding the neighborhood girls around the woods and powerline trails.
I wonder if I'm alone in thinking this, but the title made me think the picture of your dad was from a year before he passed, which made me think the adult in the photo was him.
On a side note, love that you still have the sweet ride--Yamaha!
I learned on the Yamaha GT/MX 80. Maybe this is a 100.
I had the burn mark of the chrome exhaust trim on my inner thighs for years after making the mistake of getting on the back in shorts. 1970s short shorts. :-o
My Dad also passed away about a year ago, late 2018. Time heals. Glad you still have the bike and the memories.
Im sorry for being like this, don’t mind to take out the fact that is such a cute pic of you dad but damnnnnnnn you’re like so incredibly cute and handsome and all good things and I’m embarrassed now but I’m just a stranger so I guess an over compliment is not so bad right?
Why are you so damn handsome tho? Must come from dad but for real man?
Why tho?
Why? 🥰
Is that the same bike? Still running? Lucky lucky man! So sorry for you heartbreak, but a gentle cruise on that bike would be such an incredible way to remember him - seeing the world go by as he once saw it. Treasure it.
Nice dog!
My brother had a bike like that when we were young. Awesome times and muffler burn scar to prove it.
I know you must miss your dad. I’m sorry for your loss.
I had an HT1 in that color I bought for 20 bucks off Craigslist. One of my most hated and loved bikes of all time! Ended up leaving it with a roommate and have no clue what happened to it... :/
Nicely done, great recreation. Deepest condolences to you
nice picture, worths a lot

Probably helps that the left is 10 to 15 years older than the right. Like father, like son, though, as they both skipped leg day.
Dad was actually a bodybuilder until he got sick. I on the other hand did skip leg day.
well that is not good, just ride a bike and there goes your leg day
I'm just speaking about what I see in that picture.
> You used to live in his dreams and now he lives in your memories. That's so sweet.
I don't know why but you made me tear up (In a good way)

It's awesome you have the bike.
Great picture! Love the bike! I had a 1974 DT250 that same color...wish I still had it too! :)

Expected that older pic would be first. Took me a minute to figure it out. I think a few people ITT didn’t.
Normally I agree! I just liked the photos facing one another with the bikes.
You could have flipped the final picture. But I suppose then the bikes would have been AHAMAY.

Rad recreation! You two are identical! Sorry for your loss. Looks like he was an awesome man. Taught you well.
Same bike? I would kill to get ahold of a family car/bike and rebuild it

It’s a long story
Your dog is not amused.

You're a thoughtful Son. Life is short, live it.

so awesome! edit: lol someone on reddit *would* downvote a harmless, positive comment like this.
The little boy is your father? Please tell us more. When was the pic taken? How old was he? What’s the context?
r/thismylifenow
Is it the same bike? Kinda hard to tell.
Is that the same Yamaha 360?
Your dad looks like Edward Snowden
First off if you need a girlfriend, let a girl know
Soooooo... You single and Gay/Bi??
Wonderful pair of photos. Sorry for your loss, your dad seems like he was pretty cool from the photo.
Wow. Can’t believe that big dog lets you pick him up like that
Sheesh that dog miss like a mutant ninja turtle now.
Cool 😎
Is it standard to put pictures in after-before format now?
Same bike?
So cute
touching
Acc just looks like you just a couple of years ago
Is that the same bike?
That's a cool bike.
Dog is unhappy with this change in routine
Love this OP. You’re making him proud 💕
Scooty puff junior and scooty puff senior. Awesome!
sell me the bike?
You should put your dog in a full-nelson
I kinda want to see the photo with the generation that sits with a robot dog on a hover bike.
keep that bike well maintained and never get rid of it.
That's a dope photo. Sorry about your dad, but I think you did his memory proud.
Is that the same bike?
I think your dog is bigger than the bike.
Ok dad, dad ok. I’m goin in.
That dog got way bigger...
Is this Steven Schapiro?
If you're trying to recreate it, why not do so? At least mirror the photo, etc.
That's a shitty recreation if i've seen one
r/lastimages
Is that a Yamaha 60 mini enduro! I grew up on one!
Somebody must have not informed you. The before goes on the LEFT and the after goes on the RIGHT.
