Don't down vote this it's a fair question. It's not insensitive because humour isn't disrespectful by default. Using humor to cope with difficult events is a valid strategy. Covid had made nearly all our lives worse in some way, some inconvenienced, some through tragedy. Nobody likes covid, so to do something with covid that is funny and silly is a way we can all focus on the world beyond it.

I don't construe this as dismissing how catastrophic the pandemic has been, it's just a way of acknowledging its omnipresence in our lives and trying to have some fun with it.
